La Roche Posay Effaclar Foaming Cream, Deep Cleansing - 4.2 fl oz

I have used this product for about 3 years when I was struggling with acne. It didn’t help much. At least the way I expected. My skin always felt dry and acne remained. After changing to another product, I realized that the problem with cleansers for oily skin is that it usually removes all the moisture of one’s skin. That’s not effective because one’s skin needs moisture. And when a product removes all of it, one’s body feels the necessity of producing more oil. Therefore, I personally recommend looking for other cleanser options.

I love using this La Roche-Posay cream cleanser to wash my face after returning home from work or after cooking. My face feels so soft and clean. It smells good too. No irritations. Just small amount needed to clean the entire face. Really love this product!

I purchased this after trying another cleanser from the Effaclar line, the one that is more of a foaming gel cleanser. I loved that one so much but this one was reviewed more and seem to be more popular so I wanted to try it. I didn’t hate it, but it gave me a tighter feeling after washing. My moisturizer was able to relieve that dry tight feeling so I had no problem finishing the bottle. A little goes a long way, the tube lasted about 7 months. It really does foam up which is nice. It just left me feeling tight, as if I had used the wrong type of soap to go with the hard water I have.

This cleanser is designed for combination and oily skin, although it is gentle enough for all skin types. It creates a light foamy lather that deeply cleanses the skin, removing excess oil and impurities. This cleanser is very gentle on the skin. It does not strip the skin’s natural moisture barrier, which is necessary for oily skin. Striping the skin of it’s natural oils actually causes oily skin to produce more oil, worsening the problem. This cleanser is very gentle and it does not irritate my sensitive skin. I have dry skin and I find that this cleanser is compatible with my skin type. It does not make my skin feel dry and tight. Instead, after cleansing, my skin feels fresh, clean and balanced. I highly recommend this product and this brand.

Deep cleansing indeed!

First time using the cream cleanser and I love it! You can feel after using how different the skin feels and looks. I use only once a day, every night. Although my skin is oily, I don’t want to be too harsh on it so in the morning I use the Effaclair regular cleanser. I believe adding a deep cleansing regimen to my skincare routine was an important step, specially because I use serums, moisturizer and sunscreen everyday. I got imagine that although is a good practice it also leaves some buildups in my skin. Strongly recommend the use of the deep cleanser.

Keeps oily skin under control

I have been using this now for almost 20 years as recommended by my dermatologist. Helps reduce oily skinand pores seem smaller. Only complaint is the packaging. I find it difficult to use especially when the tube is almost empty. Would love to see it in a pump format.

Not exactly "unscented"

I wanted to like this product because I used La Roche-Posay products plenty of times, and I LOVE! I splurged on this item and it was labeled as unscented and no fragrance added it very much has a scent. Sure, maybe it's not "fragrance" but I have sensory issues and it smells similar to a citronella candle to me. I'll keep it at three stars because it does help with what it says it does (oil and large pores) but the misleading scent is enough for me to dock two stars. If you don't mind scents, however, id still recommend this to you.

Ultimate Acne Face Wash

I really like how thick and creamy this face wash is, it also has a very pleasant smell to it. I just started using it but am already wanting to use this every day over my other skin care brands. I tend to prefer this much better then the gel face washes out there. You only need a little bit and you get amazing coverage all over. The size is just right, as it should last you a while. Very impressed!

Wonderful Product for Adult Acne

I wanted to give this a few weeks and get through a full hormonal cycle before reviewing. I am 45 and have struggled with acne for over 20 years. I was getting more and more flare ups around my chin, jaw and neck. What I usually blamed on hormones was becoming a daily problem. After reading many reviews and doing my research I decided to try this wash. It is a wonderful product. I have sensitive skin, as well, and I love that the scent is light. It rinses off squeaky clean and a little goes a very long way. I use Murad moisturizer with it and have not had any breakouts in over a week. It cleared up all the issues I had on my chest, as well. If you're having trouble try this out. I am a believer and I am grateful to the reviews I read before purchasing.
