La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel 400ml

I have really oily combination skin and have had a really hard time finding a skin care routine that didn't leave me dry or covered in black heads but this has cleared my skin up in just 3 days I'm so in love. I have been using La Roche-Posay Toleriane products for several years now and have never been disappointed with the results they provide. My skin is highly sensitive and I have severe allergic reactions to most cosmetics and skin products (due to harsh chemicals, perfumes, dyes). This product was recommended to me by a friend who has terrible acne problems and since her skin condition has improved, when using this product, she suggested it to me. I decided to give the it a chance as my skin was visibly deteriorating ( I started getting acne) even though I was using a very popular Cerave cleanser. So I started using La Roche-Posay Effaclar Gel Cleanser a week ago and let me tell you that the differences on the skin are already noticeable. I use the product twice a day and I do not use it to remove make up, only as my second cleanse. It's a gentle way to get touch of salicylic acid into my product line-up, without overly drying my skin or having to add another serum in. It really get into your pores and clean them out. I can also use it around my eye area without any major irritation at all and it leaves a very refreshing feeling on my skin afer washing my face with. This is absolute best facial cleanser I've ever used. The price od the product ia a bit expensive as you get it for $14,99 for 200 ml, but it's worth the money, if we look at the results. Hopefully more people will definitely choose to give it a try too.

While I've only been using it for two days, I'm already impressed. This doesn't foam as thickly as the toleriane cleanser, but it still foams well and creates a rich lather that was satisfying and wonderful and felt great on my sensitive, acne-prone skin. Sadly, unlike the toleriane cleanser, for some reason this isn't scent-free, it has a floral/medicinal smell that is stronger than I'd like it to be, but it's nothing offensive. I'll also admit that this feels a little bit irritating at first, but already my skin has adjusted to that, the next day I had little to no irritation. It is drying though, but as always with skincare, moisturizer is A MUST (I use LRP's Lipikar AP+ lotion as a moisturizer, FANTASTIC stuff and since I use it only for my face, the big bottle has lasted me for almost a year!) The consistency is much thinner, so I have a feeling that this bottle (the 400 ml) will last even longer than the other one that usually lasts me 3 months. I can see this lasting at least a month longer, so I'll get even more bang for my buck if I decide to continue on with this! I have high hopes for this product because seriously, my skin so far in only two days just doesn't look and feel so oily, and this also pairs so lovely with the La Roche Posay micellar water and my tretinoin. And my breakouts, well, I haven't had any, the one or two I had are GONE! So while this product isn't perfect and has some of its flaws, the results in such a short time are AMAZING and I cannot wait to see if my skin will improve with time. So if you have acne-prone skin (esp hormonal) give this one a shot like I did, it's soo worth it!

A CLEANSER!

Listen, I’m acne prone, sensitive skin, combination-oily, late 20’s….this face wash has helped me tremendously in the past THREE weeks. So, I was using CeraVe for the duration of that bottle. My skin was never good on that, but I watched a lot of YouTubers recommend it. I would get a lot of bumps under my skin. It was just the face wash, but the face wash played a major role because after switching to this when it ran out, my skin was already starting to heal. It is drying, for sure, but it cleans my skin so well. I wore a full face of makeup. I used the take it off by Clinique and then washed my face for 60 secs then 30-60…there was nothing on the white towel and that never happened before. I NEEDED A REAL CLEANSER. Brilliant. Skin is clear

I've been using for about 6 to 7 weeks with the effaclar serum and effaclar duo and my skin has literally never looked so good. I was apprehensive at first as together they add up $$. Didn't see any results for first 4 weeks but then I started to see results and now my skin is blemish free. I use as directed. Would definitely recommend.I didn't have very bad acne But I had spots, white heads and small black heads around my chin, head and some Small ones on cheeks. I am Delighted I found this and finally found something that actually worked

Effaclar Facial cleanser

Its perfect for oily skin. I have suffered from acne since along time. Then my dermatologist prescribed my this facial cleanser. And i never stopped it since then. I am from egypt i used it there and i searched for it here in the US. until i found it on the website. I found it in cvs pharmacy too. My recommendation, if you have an oily skin like mine . Is to use it daily once or twice a day depending on your skin needs, and apply la roche posay matte moisturizer afterwards. Use a facial scrub once weekly. And use anthelios matte sunscreen for oily skin every day in the morning. And whatever serum you love before sleep like hyaluronic acid serum or vitamin c

Excellent facial wash cleanser that you can use morning and night. Works on the most sensitive of skin and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and completely clean. Have been using this product daily for the past 2 years after trialling it for severe out breaks of adult acne. This is the best facial wash cleanser I have used which helped to clear the acne and keep it at bay. If you’re thinking of giving it a try please give it time and stick with it at the beginning. Took me at least 6 weeks at the start to actually see an improvement but since then I am largely free of break outs except a few spots at times when hormones are raging. Miracle product

I bought this around a week ago as I have suffered with hormonal acne for a while now. I mainly have acne scars and the occasional acne flare up. I have used Cera-Ve for a while now, but decided to swap products because my skin just doesn’t comply with their cleansers anymore! Don’t get me wrong- Cera-Ve cleansers are good, but this product is incredible! This is a gentle cleaner which calms my skin, not to mention my scars are fading very quickly after pairing this cleaner with the Cicaplast cream! I have oily/combination skin and this works really well with my skin type. My skin looks visibly clearer after only a week, my confidence has never been higher. Cant wait to see the results long term.

Not For Me

What I love about it: smells amazing, a little goes a long way. What I don’t like: doesn’t nothing for my outbreaks, pretty basic cleanser. I’ve definitely have better. I’m not sure how this did well with other peoples acne and outbreaks but this formula just wasn’t for me. I love the smell but for those with sensitive skin may want to stay away. Like many La Roche products a dime size will lather very well for my entire face and neck. Unfortunately I’m stuck with an entire bottle of face wash I can only use once a day. Not the best to remove make up. I just use this to wash my face in the morning. I love their products but this one is not for me.

This Facewash - Must buy for Oily skin

This face wash is the best i could find out there. my skin is oily and sesnitive at the same time. I do get breakouts here and there randomly. With some redness on the face along with sensitive skin, finfing the right face washwash was a challenge. This is the best face wash, doesnt dry out my skin after the wash, skin feels clean, refreshed and supple. I love the clear gel texture of the facewash. If you talk about the price , its definatley worth it as it goes a long way. Value for money yes, and gentle to the skin. It doesnt irritates my skin after the wash and has mild fragrance. Afterusing this face wash for about 6 months i could feel the diffrence in my skin.
