Broken packaging

Love the product, but unfortunately after opening (per the instructions with the product) the lid is not able to be put back on the tube. This causes the product to dry out and oxidize almost immediately. I even tried to take it back to the store I purchased it and have them look at it; they weren't sure why the lid wasn't going back on either. 2 star rating is for packaging concern; the overall product goes on smoothly, creates a nice glow, and so far has not caused irritation (for reference, I'm 30 y/o with sensitive, combination, acne-prone skin that is quite sensitive to vitamin C). I'd say with a simple packaging fix this would be a great product!

Great addition to my daily skin care routine

Two thumbs up from this aging redhead with chronically dry, ruddy, sensitive skin. After rinsing my face and patting it dry in the morning, I apply a thin layer of this Vit C Cream to both my face and neck followed by Anthelios Light Fluid Facial Sunscreen. Over time, the addition of this cream has brightened my skin and reduced the redness in my cheeks while leaving my face soft & smooth. Just once a day has been enough for me. In the evening, I remove any makeup with Micellar Cleansing Water for Sensitive Skin and then wash my face with Toleriane Hydrating Cleanser followed by Redermic R Retinol Cream and Toleriane Double Repair Facial Moisturizer. Great product- terrible packaging

I really wish I could rate this higher. I love this formula- it feels nice, easily rubs into my skin, and doesn’t react or pill with other aspects of my skincare. Unfortunately though, the packaging- specifically, the lid, is awful. Upon opening it the first time, it squirted everywhere and would not stop coming out- to the point I lost about 1/3 of the product. It eventually stopped but the lid leaks and you are left with old vitamin C that has oxidised trapped in the lid. It might have just been my tube, but I’m hesitant to buy another given the price and how much was wasted. If this was in better packaging, I’d give this a 5/5.

Half the C, half the effectiveness!

I agree with a previous reviewer. The 10% Active C is way superior to this one. I also had used it for at least 15 years. When I got my first tube I used it on one side of my face and after a month asked my husband which side he thought was best. He chose the side I thought too so I have kept buying it. Can you bring it back? Otherwise I will need to look elsewhere because the serum sounds dreadful.

Not Impressed

Three months ago I switched over to LaRoche Posay from Khiel's because I remembered my dermatologist always recommending this line of product. I am 42 and have deep lines on my neck and some signs of aging on my forehead. I also have dry skin. I started with Redermic C + Redermic C Eyes with Vitamin C during the day + Redermic R with Retinol + Redermic R Eyes with Retinol at night, including the gommage and Pigmentclar Cleanser. I am unsatisfied with all products. I find they all lack good hydration properties, leaving my skin not fully moisturized and dry-looking. My fine lines and wrinkles are reappeared. The cleanser, which is supposed to also remove makeup, does no such thing. The gommage barely exfoliates my skin. I am hugely disappointed in this brand that I felt was superior and will not be ordering again.One more thing: I also have rosacea and tried using Rosaliac CC Cream. While it provides decent coverage for daytime use, having only one shade is ridiculous. If you have red skin, your skin tone is NOT yellow. Why make the cream suited for yellow tones? You basically have to lather it on all over face, neck and décolleté to not look odd. Sorry LaRoche Posay, I gave it a try for three months.

Please bring back Active C 10%

I have used Active C 10% for longer than I can remember. It's a fantastic product, and I am extremely disappointed that it has been discontinued. The Pure C is just not as effective, and I do not like the consistency of serums. The high percentage of vitamin c coupled with the smooth consistency is what made Active C so great. Please bring it back!

Sub Par to Now Discontinued Active C10

This is a decent lotion, but only 5% C vs your now discontinued medical grade Active C10 which was 10% C! Why did you discontinue the superior Active C10 instead of this sub par version? Or why not offer both?! Active C10 was the best face cream. I used it daily as my favorite face cream for 15+ years. My derm, esthetician and strangers complimented me on my skin. Most people prefer it over the 10% serum which discolors on face + in the bottle, is NOT moisturizing, evaporates, doesn’t last long + forces users to add another step to moisturize on top of it. Active C10 was both therapeutic and moisturizing. Please bring back Active C10. Loyal Active C10 users will now SWITCH to another brand.

The ideal product for me is no longer available

I am a potental new customer to the la roche-posay brand. I am looking for a face moisturizer with a high vitamin C content. The 10% active C would have been the perfect product for me and I would have been willing to invest a significant amount to purchase it. Unfortunately, I am going to look for other options as this Pure Vitamin C face cream doesn't meet my need for the amount of Vitamin C in the product. I am also leary that if I try this product, it will be discontinued like the 10% active C that many of your consumers seemed to have really liked. Offer consistency is important and based on what I'm reading from the other reviews, I am not convinced that La Roche-Posay will sustain availability of the product. I'll keep searching.
