Buy it on sale, and use it for only for most demanding board/outdoor projects.

These shoes are super soft and grippy, and I love it. My softest shoes before this were my solutions. I thought the softness would suck and hurt, but in reality it's amazing. They are very comfortable, even for my fat feet(after a little stretching).The shoes stick to everything, the heel is suction cupped on to your heel It will never come off while climbing. Pretty good for toe hooks, but there could be more rubber coverage.These are truly awful for heelhooks though. the heel collapsed in on itself and will slip off of all but the biggest jug. This is my second pair of mantras and I will continue getting them as long as la sportiva continues to make them. The no-edge takes a bit of getting used to, but these broke in so quickly and the fit is perfection. I'd suggest getting these if you've already got decent footwork as the rubber is soft and thin. I've read other reviews that said they wore through after just a few months, but as a routesetter, I climb more than the average person and my first pair of mantras have only just gotten to the resoling point after 10 months. Cannot recommend highly enough. But I don't suggest them for outdoor climbing unless you've got a very strong foot.

There seems to be a lack of reviews on this shoe, so here's mine. The fit of the shoe is very good, and it breaks in pretty quickly. Obviously there are no edges, therefore you cannot edge. The shoe is not stiff as well, so you cannot edge. This shoe is good for steep climbs and indoor boulders. You can maximize the amount of rubber on the holds on volumes. Also very good for board climbing. This should not be your first nor only shoe. This shoe will train your core and force you to apply the correct pressure since it's not very accurate. It's a very good training shoe.

These are comfortable. Easy to break in.I was able to go smaller size, was able to use them comfortably for about 1.5-2 hours. And didn't require much break in time.The tip is not as pointy as expected, but still great shoes love the Slip on aspect.Would recommend, but like others have stated does hurt on heel hooks.I plan to keep these and use them constantly, but will go back to mu Skwama for when I need something with better foot control.
The La Sportiva Mantra is a great show and true to its name (word or sound repeated to aid concentration in meditation). I can't stop telling people how good these shoes are!I primarily climb inside on plastic, so I wanted something soft and comfortable that was aggressive enough to play on overhangs but not so much that volumes were unusable. Somehow the Mantra does both exceptionally well.They are super soft and I receive excellent feedback on all hold types. The no edge technology makes finding the sweet spot on most holds effortless. Although for more crimpy routes I would recommend a more firm, stiffer shoe.Honestly they just make every session fun!
