Absolute Garbage, Five Ten for life.

I've been using the Mythos for 25 years. When I wear out a pair, I get another. I've had them resoled them as well, using their standard rubber, which is excellent. The shoes adjust to your foot shape, making them amazingly comfortable. When I want to go light, I can descend in them as well - the maximum was a several hour descent through desert terrain from the Epinephine route at Red Rocks. I don't recommend climbing that long of a route, then hiking down in them, but they did the job with no damage. I don't even take them off at the sport crags between climbs, and tend to forget I have them on. I keep two pairs a half-size apart: the larger I use with a light sock for all-day routes, and the smaller for sport and gym climbing. I bought these about a year ago, and I still love them! They are my second pair of climbing shoes, and I use them exclusively. No problem holding onto tiny footchips.I'm still new to climbing and don't do much fancy footwork (like smearing, toe/heel hooks, etc.), but when I do do something fancy, they do just fine. The #1 selling point for me was the comfort level. They are like moccasins! I can wear them for 3-4 hours at the gym without any pain or needing to take them off.I also see a TON of people at the gym wearing these - they are very popular, and for good reason. After wearing them 2-3 times a week for a year, they are still holding up just fine. I'm planning on getting an aggressive pair in addition to these, but these are a great overall shoe.

Comfortable climbing shoes
20 January 2024

Usually i wear eu size 42..first i ordered 40,5 and they were perfect fit bus after lot of reading I realized ghat they will stretch quite a lot as they are all from leather so i ordered again size 39 ..in beginning they were bit tight but already after few climbing routes they were just fine.So i do recommend go at least 2,or even 3 size down.I also got mens shoes cos i have wide feet and they feet me great.

Great pack!
5 May 2023

Awesome pack! I had a pack that made my shoulders very sore after just a few miles of hiking so I decided to upgrade. This pack has been great. Very comfortable, this pack carries the weight much much better- in the hips not the shoulders. Love the storage/ organizational options as well!

Great shoe - a classic for a reason
1 January 2020

I'm basically a gym climber, climbing for about 3 years. The Mythos is known as being a very comfortable, fairly neutral shoe, and it is. I find it markedly more comfortable than my (older) pair of Finales. Good grip, good stiff sole. I find that I need a half size smaller in the Mythos than in the Finale, for what that's worth.A sale at Moosejaw allowed me to get it at 30% off, so I'm a happy climber.

Hands down my favorite shoes!
16 August 2015

I've had these shoes for a little over a year now and I couldn't be happier with them. I'm mostly a gym climber, but I do go on the occasional trip to the crag. The first thing you'll notice is how comfortable these shoes are. You can wear them all day, no problem! Smearing is a dream, crack climbing is effortless, face climbing won't slow you down, overhangs and 45's aren't too easy...but I'm still perfectly capable of crushing them just as well as my friends wearing more aggressive shoes. I climb 2-3 times a week (and I admit to dragging my toes when I climb) and the toes are just now starting to wear through to the leather. Ive thought about giving another kind of shoe a try, but all the shoes I would consider going with are more expensive and less comfortable, ... MoreI've had these shoes for a little over a year now and I couldn't be happier with them. If you're on the fence about whether or not to buy these, stop thinking and just buy these now! You won't regret it.

La sportiva mythos medium foot
25 June 2021

I have wanted to buy these shoes for a long time, I tried on a pair of 42 and they made me fantastic but they were worn a lot. So I decided to buy an EU 42.5 with a leg length of 27.5 and they fit like a glove, if they open due to the skin they will be bigger for me but with the Mythos fastening system I will be able to tighten them again and they will fit me just as well. Do not be afraid to take them half smaller than what La Sportiva gives, they will fit you tightly but they will open. I got them to climb multi pitch in Meteora but until then I climb the island

My favorite shoe for years
5 August 2019

I've been wearing Mythos for over a decade - back when they were still purple. They are a great all around shoe for climbing. Once you break them in they are super comfortable as the leather stretches to fit your foot geometry. I have a prominent Achilles heal and most shoes don't fit me well as their rands try to pull the heel in and cut into my Achilles. Mythos has an unique lacing system that allows you to set the tension. They are NOT a super high performance reverse toe show for your test piece. They are a well made shoes you can send with all day and not need to pull off after each pitch.

Excellent shoes don't have to hurt! The most comfortable things I have ever put on my feet, which make climbing fun. I come up 3 euro sizes smaller than my La Sportiva mountaineering boot size (40.5. Rather than 43.5) Mythos stretch a lot in the first 3 or 4 hours of wearing.
