I have been climbing for about 8 years and this shoe has given me new found confidence in my feet. The rubber is super sticky. I have only used them twice so far but I can tell they are going to be my new favorite. I've owned and used the old solutions in the past. They feel like the same size as those, potentially slightly smaller but no biggie. I've also owned muiras and 5.10 sirens. Please keep in mind I am making my rating after only 2 uses and like 2 weeks into owning them although they seem awesome and well-made so I am going to go ahead and give 5 stars because of the stoke. I also do the oven trick with all of my climbing shoes for a better fit and a temporarily warm foot.

The mellow and neutral off-white and orange lily colors pair nicely together, are aesthetically pleasing, and still have a feminine touch without the unnecessary hot pink. The Solutions have adjustable straps that make the shoe easy to take on, off, and adjust. The padding underneath the straps makes the shoe more comfortable overall and repels the straps from digging in. The supportive sole has a nice curve to it that does not flatten over time, along with sharp toe and heel edges that make the shoe perfect for small footholds while still being flexible enough to trust your feet. Due to the rubber on the bottom of the shoe being sticky and aggressive, the shoe is ideal for advanced climbs that may have smearing and edging involved. I am a relative newb and this is my first technical toe. To start, I love the split sole. I used to break the shank on my pointe shoes and this gives the same effect w/ letting you get over your toes with your weight. Paired with the technical toe these shoes are just *chef's kiss for being able to stand on teeny tiny things. The high heel back gives you a real feeling of stability too (since you lose that sense with the split sole somewhat). You will, however, get some blisters on your achilles when you break them in bc of this. Still a fantastic shoe all around.

These shoes are FANTASTIC for bouldering on steep overhangs and in caves because the the heel and Velcro laces! I especially love how large the heel is for heel hooking and how much coverage there is on the toe for toe hooking. I wore them for around two months, and I’ve noticed two issues with them. For reference, I’m a size 6.5. The first is the size. I usually size down one or even two sizes down when I buy my shoes, but the stiffness of these shoes makes it difficult to feel fully comfortable in them, even when they’re broken in. My other issue is their fit after breaking in. Personally, my Achilles’ tendon ended up being compressed as the shoes wore in more. I didn’t feel any pressure in the toe box like other people said though. Everyone is different, but if your foot shape permits, you will not regret getting these shoes! I wear my street shoe size. They have an excellent heel cup, the toe portion provides confidence on tiny edges, but the rubber is still flexible enough to smear on slopey volumes. Even with heel spurs (hanglund's deformity), these shoes stay comfortable. Break in period is short. Best climbing shoe.

The edges have rounded and yet they are soft enough where they will still stick to just about everything. These are definitely better at smearing than my Muira VS’s, but they’re still ehh, mainly because you want a tight fit and downturned shoes prevent your foot from flattening out completely while in the wall.Now the downfall of this shoe: the heel SUCKS. As a climber of pockets in Wyoming, I cannot recommend these shoes enough for that particular style. I feel so confident standing on teeny tiny edges or shallow pockets. This will be my third pair after multiple resoles and I just can't get enough. I am a street size 8 and wear the 38s.
I have been a huge fan of La Sportiva Women's Solution Climbing Shoe since the previous edition (the pink/white color). They not only fit perfectly, the mesh elastic liner and velcro allows me to easily adjust and my feet to wiggle around without squeezing the life out of it. I must admit, it was very agressive at first and it took a month or so to break in, but it was so worth it. I have always had trouble trusting any heel hooks, but the heel here is absolutely trustworthy, and it leaves very little to no room. I now own about 5 pairs and cannot imagine any other bouldering shoes that I could love like this!
It's not the fart-noises from the extra space in the heels that discourage me from using these shoes, it's how they easily make my feet slip out. These shoes work better for someone with bigger heels and/or longer ankles - which unfortunately I do not have in able to fit in them and perform well when I'm heel-hooking, for example. Great for toe hooks though!
the solutions are my favorite shoe hands down. I have very high arched feet, so flat shoes have never worked well for me but these fit me like a glove. I size down for an aggressive fit and get my standard size for all-around use. I wear them in the gym and outside 2-4 times per week and I probably get 4-6 months of use out of them before having to resole or replace.
