"Properly fit" means find a snug size then deliberately drop 1/2 size to account for the fact these shoes DO stretch as they break in, which they do pretty quickly. This snug fit will allow you to maintain a hold on the progressively smaller edges or plastic pieces as you improve. Simply stated, the price:performance ratio of the Trantulace is incomperable. Don't think twice, pounce!

After trying on 5 pairs of climbing shoes, I picked these ones. They were pretty comfortable right away. But holes busted through the toes within 4 months. I have heavy feet, but my last pair of Evolv lasted me 13 months. I was really disappointed. I've since talked to someone else who had the same experience with these shoes, and it seems this is common based on other reviews.

I ordered a pair of the Zenits in the same size and they were much smaller than the Tarantula Boulders. The Tarantula Boulders do fit bigger, I would say 1/2 size than other shoes I have tried. I ordered a 41.5 (8.5 US) and they fit me almost perfectly. I typically wear a size 9 or 9.5 US street shoe.The rubber feels great, and they are surprisingly comfortable. Good curve in them but not quite as aggressive as the Solutions. Easy to get on with the pull straps in the back. The Velcro strap pieces have plenty of room to adjust tightness. Overall they're solid for the price.

I'm a beginner climber who started climbing 4 months ago and climb v6/5.10+. I only had these pair of shoes for two months and they're worn to the point there they cannot even be resole'd. I've seen several people at my gym with the same tarantulas and they all have issues with the durability of the sole and the binding coming off.I go climbing/Bouldering about 2-3 times a week. My first pair were a pair of scarpa quantics and despite terrible beginner footwork and dragging they only sustained minor wear and were sent in to be resole'd.Climbing shoes seem to be a lot more expensive recently and I would not recommend these if you're thinking of a starter or economic shoe. Go for the higher quality ones.
Bought these about 7 months ago when I started climbing. They broke down in about 4 months with a giant hole in the toe. I'm not gonna blame the manufacturer and say that they should use better materials, because the shoe is cheap. My bad/beginner footwork was the main reason the shoes broke down so quick. About two months ago I picked up the Theorys and I still use these tarantulas for warmups and messing around on the wall. Buying the theorys proved that better rubber does fade slower, but my footwork and technique have also improved drastically since using the taratula's so its hard to judge.Overall, buy these shoes if you wanna get into rock climbing; be ready to buy better shoes in about 4 months unless you are super careful with your beginner footwork.
I used to own the laced version of this shoe (La Sportiva Tarantulace) and I'm a huge fan of the velcro closure system. While the heel cup may not be as tight as the Tarantulace's, this shoe is MUCH easier to take on and off...which is especially useful if you're doing a lot of outdoor bouldering that requires you to take your shoes on and off frequently. This shoe will never be as aggressive as the La Sportiva Solution or as well rounded as the La Sportiva TC Pro, but if you're looking for a low-cost but incredibly durable and comfortable shoe, look no further! I love these and expect them to last

I loved them, they were great and didn't hold me back from the climbs I wanted to do. I was climbing V5-V7 range in them and top roping up to 5.12.This year, they really needed to be replaced so I bought these. They didn't hold up well at all. Within a month the toe has lost some of it's rubber and the blue is showing through. These stretch a lot! My shoe range is 9 -11 depending on the shoe and activity. I ordered a 41.5 which on the shoe is an 8.5 (site says 9.5). After 5ish months of climbing in them they are way too big in the toe box and I get a gap under my arch. The shoes only tighten so much and if you have narrow feet (like me) you may find them too wide. So take sizing down seriously! I am now in the market for a new pair. THAT SAID they are really comfy and are a great starter shoe. Just be aware of how they stretch and you'll be golden.

I bought this women’s 39.5eu Plum colour (i wear 25.5 ski boots and mens 7.5us or 41eu). Ive tried on many scarpa and other brands but this is the only pair i did not feel pain in them, and i went to a whole size down.A few years ago, i actually wanted to start it and tried on many shoes at MEC and all gave me too much pain and did not start climbing due to it.As ive just started rock climbing this summer, July 2022, and now i can do 10a on the sport climbing outdoor rocks, and lead climb on 5.9.Ive read that this pair will not last long, but still no cracks and gives me good grip.Fellow beginners, try this pair.
