Returned first hard drive because power supply failed upon install. Returned the replacement hard drive for the same issue. We went through power supply issues with Lacie in the past as well and it is really unfortunate.I cannot for the life of me figure out why Lacie goes to all the trouble to engineer and manufacture a decent product, stand behind it with a respectable data recovery guarantee, only to use the most unreliable cheapest power supplies in the industry.

I love this drive. Fast and the right size for our needs. Unfortunatly two of them were defective on arrival and I had to get replacements. BH was on it right away with impeccable customer service so it kept the frustration to a minimum.
Using as a time machine backup. Not sure how fast it is for other usage but I do wish it also supported thunderbolts so I could have connected to by TB LaCie 2Big directly.
I have owned 6 of these in one type or another. an old 10TB just died after ~7 years. That is life. Another 16TB model died after a few months and Seagate support stinks. It was replaced with a 'refurbished' item after about 6 weeks. we do not have any in stock. I bought an additional drive to cover that. If you depend on these drives, you better have more than one.
First thing I noticed is no instructions. It comes with preloaded cloud software which I formatted out. To be fair I also bought a new board to support a USB 3.2 gen 2 connection. Now there are two things which are occurring... one it seems to go to sleep and has to wake up to access which is annoying.... second I have had a few write errors. Now I can not say it is because of the disk or the new card. I did notice it transfers data about three times faster than any other USB drive that I have. So I am happy with the drive but why no instructions or information about specs, connections, or hints of how best to use the drive would be an improvement.
I have ordered twice and its not working . I got a replacement and had same issue with power on.
