With its distinctive elegance and flavour profile, Lagavulin is without a doubt one of the most beloved Scotch whiskies in the world. The original production site dates from 1816, when John Johnston and Archibald Campbell Brooks constructed two distilleries on Islay’s south coast. In 2016 Lagavulin celebrated their 200th anniversary producing a number of limited-edition bottlings, including this 25-year-old expression. On the nose, enticing aromas of roasted barley, pralines, coffee and peat. The palate reveals a creamy texture, boasting notes of toffee caramel, roasted nuts and a pinch of sea salt.
