Never used the 1.5. Swapped it out for a 1.1. LAMY makes my favorite 1.1 stub nib. That said, I’m sure this 1.5 stub would be as good as any LAMY nib.

A bit scratchy initially, smoother with a wet monteverde ink.Not as smooth as my TWSBI Swipe stub.

I love Lamy nibs, easy to use and they write smoothly. It is great to be able to buy extra nibs as spares to use when needed and when wanting to change nib sizes. They are great quality.
This Nib fit perfect on my old Lamy Fountain Pen. It took the pen from constant thickness - to a really cool ability to write thick lines in one direction, and thin lines in another. I love the character it gives my writing!The help I received by the Pen Boutique and the education was awesome!
I got a 1.1 stub nib. It was a little scratchy at first, but after using for about a week, it smoothed out nicely.It's fun for some line variation and I enjoy using it.
I have quite a few Lamy pens, and i personally like the 1.1 and 1.5 nibs. I like to have some extras around to swap them out. This is a nice size for fountain pen calligraphy.
Bought 2 LAMY M1.9 MM CALLIGRAPHIC NIBS to go in a Lamy La Star & Vista fountain pens. So glad I did: they're buttery smooth to replace my Pelikan old M120 pens. Will NOR be disappointed.
