The barrel is made of ABS plastic with a soft black lacquer finish. The Joy comes with a Lamy T10 black ink cartridge. Please remember to clean your pen before using it for the first time and to remove the paper wedge protecting the ink cartridge. When you reassemble the pen and gently tighten, it will automatically puncture the ink cartridge and your pen is ready for use. The Lamy Joy is available in 3 nib sizes: 1.1 mm, 1.5 mm and 1.9 mm.
