1) First impression - On brand (no pun intended) with Lancôme products I've used in the past. Applicator is thin and easy to maneuver - I've gotten somewhat annoyed with how thick mascaras have gotten over the years, so this is a nice change of pace. 2) Pros - • Adds length and volume - Builds up quickly, too. • Does a good job of curling my lashes without using an actual curler. • Night time conditioning feature is nice for benefits without wearing it out. 3) Cons - • It's REALLY clumpy. Because of that, I didn't feel comfortable at all wearing it in public underneath regular mascara... I ended up just wearing it nightly to bed. • The clumps break down and are pretty painful if you get them in your eye (more common with the nighttime routine). • The product builds up extremely fast, so if you overdo a coat, there's no way to "undo" it without removing everything and starting over. 4) Overall - Maybe it's because I have stumpy Asian lashes, but this had a horrible visual effect, and I basically only used it for the conditioning benefits.

I used Cils Booster XL as a primer and paired it with Lancome Monsieur Big Volumizing Mascara. I applied it from roots to tips and allowed the primer to remain wet by applying the mascara immediately after as directed. The constancy of the primer was thinner than it appeared and from what I expected. My lashes were very wet and drying time was lengthy. I don’t see much of a difference in the lashes if any at all. The side with the primer is naturally more curly than the side without so I do not attribute the curl to this product. I found the lashes with the primer to be stiff and stuck together compared to the side without. I tried to comb the lashes with primer for a more natural and separated look but it was painful, as I was unable to comb through due to the product coming off of the lashes, building up and getting clumped and stuck- Think of brushing your hair from roots to ends with a big matted knot mid shaft. It was awful! I had to give up and wash all of my makeup off. I have never experienced this issue with any other primer before. Based on my experience with no claimed benefits of increased length, volume and curl and only negative effects, I will not be purchasing this product again.
