I’m not usually a fan of these types of brushes, I very much prefer the rubber ones because they typically elongate and separate my lashes a lot better. This brush was very nice and left my lashes nicely coated after one coat, but they did lack length and fullness. 2. It was very wet, if that makes sense? I didn’t like it very much because it makes layering coats a bit harder and as you can see in the pictures, my lashes clumped. I would say that it’s a great mascara to use when you want a clean look or a no-makeup-makeup look. It won’t clump as long as you do only a single coat or two and wait before layering.

I've heard wonderful things about Lancomes high-definition mascara and was hopeful that I too would fall in love it, however, I was not impressed. Off that bat, it looks blue in tint even though its actually black so it looks light when applied. I had to apply 3 coats for my eyelashes to look semi covered and I still was underwhelmed by the length and darkness of the final result. The wand itself is nice and the packaging is pretty though. Additionally, it doesn't have an overwhelming chemical smell and didnt burn my eye during application. That was a plus! Overall, I wouldn't spend my money on it more than once. It's just not enough for my liking of coverage.

The wand for this mascara is perfect for people with short thin lashes. The wand is light weight and easy to use. The formula of this mascara has no weight to it and also does not create clumps. Even when applied multiple times. This mascara holds up well on a day on the water. It does not run and is pretty waterproof. When this mascara is on your eyes lashes it stays all day. Now if you are looking for a mascara that really gives you a lift and makes your lashes appear longer this is not going to be the one for you. But this would be a good mascara for a teenager just learning about makeup minus the price point.

This mascara comes with a traditional spoolie-type brush. The color is kind of grayish black, but it looks just black when I wear it. Since it is lengthening, I creates tubes over the eyelashes. You definitely need multiple coats for this to stand out. I would recommend waiting until each dries to reapply, and try to keep lashes from clumping, as it becomes difficult to reapply. I wore it all day and had a bit of fall out, but I do laugh with my eyes, so my lashes are disturbed. All in all, this does best as a layered product, on top of the Lash Idôle Volumizing mascara. It is a natural bristled wand and it is small which makes it easier to get each lash but the formula was not great. Overall I would not repurchase or recommend this mascara to someone. If you have naturally long and curled lashes and you just want a natural mascara to make them look darker you may like this but it is not my preference. I will add as a positive that I did try it for 8 hours and there was no smudging and I only had tiny little flakes under my eyes.

Get the Black, not the Deep Black!

I truly love the Définicils High-Definition Mascara in the BLACK, NOT the DEEP black! Unfortunately that is what I decided to purchase this last time. I have never had a problem with the Black smudging under any circumstances. And it always comes off clean without having to use anything more than a cleanser. But the Deep Black smudges horribly!!!!! Even when I keep lotions and eye creams away from under my eyes...which is ridiculous because that is why we use them, to soften our 'fine' lines, plump and reduce dark circles. At any rate, I will never, ever buy the Deep Black again! I am so very disappointed because it still gives the great lashes that I love and have always achieved with the Black. Now I have 3 full tubes of mascara that I use only in a pinch.

Great product But gets less and less in the tube.

I have always loved , loved, loved this mascara. Made my eyelashes look beautiful got so many comments. It was just great but what I have noticed is that no matter where I buy this product at it’s the same thing. The mascara seems to be dry, and does not last as long as it used to I bought from Lancome , Neiman Marcus and Ulta beauty. All of which I have found myself to be very displeased and the products amount, and how far it will go now this is not cheap mascara, and it’s not like I use it four times a day, and in the past I felt like I got efficient use. So can someone tell me what has happened with this product? Why is it dry? Why is there less product? MY DEFINICILS MASCARA REVIEW

Reason for 3 stars... 1st of all, I love this mascara - best one out there! Been purchasing this mascara for maybe more than 30 years. Years ago this tube would last forever; always had a very plentiful amount of product inside the tube. I noticed about 10-15 yrs ago maybe, that they put less amount of product inside, up the price tremendously and this really is forcing me to find another mascara. This tube now seems completely dry when I get it. I have bought from the website, and many different stores, online and at the counter...same thing - DRY. So sad. I still try to look for another version of this that I will switch to if I can get more bang for my buck.

The GOAT

The mascara is the GOAT…Greatest of All Time! I’ve used this mascara for nearly 30 years now and have yet to find a better mascara. Lots of new mascaras have hit the market in the past 30 years and I’ve tried to give others a chance but no mascara can compare with Definicils…especially when combined with Cils Booster. My lashes are my “claim to fame”. They aren’t naturally super long but they appear as though they are when I’m wearing this mascara. I’m regularly asked if I take the lash growth medication or if I have false lashes…neither of which have I ever done. This product lengthens, never clumps, and perfectly separates and comes off easily with water and a washcloth when used in combination with the Cils Booster.
