Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Berry 20 G

I was gifted this lip sleeping mask and I although I don’t think I personally would have chosen the gummy bear shade I really enjoy the sweet scent. This is my second pot of Laneige sleeping mask and I have to admit that this is now a staple in my nighttime beauty routine. PRO’s: - Ultra-hydrating - Nourishing - Comes in variety of shades - Effective - Product lasts for at least 1 year Con’s: - Separate applicator Although I don’t like having to use the included spatula to apply the product, clean it afterwards, it adds a spa-like pampering experience. This has been my absolute holy grail lip product for YEARS. Although I have tested tried nearly every lip balm, mask oil on the market- this is the one product that actually works for me every time. My partner refuses to use anything else too. It is sooo buttery smooth, it works immediately upon contact with the lips. I love how thin this product is, as many other products can be either too thick, sticky or occlusive to the point where it does not penetrate into the lips. It gives a beautiful plump juicy look, which makes this perfect for day time use just as much as an overnight sleeping mask. I will note- I didn’t realize this product is NOT cruelty free/vegan up until recently. Some people care whereas others do not. For me, it is something to be mindful about once I finish up my remaining products.

I was instantly hooked at how satisfying it felt applying this product. It does come with its own little lip spatula, but I ended up tossing this and using baby q-tips I get at the dollar store - no mess and non cleanup (although you should probably use the wand it comes with to be more environmentally friendly). While I do enjoy wearing this overnight, my INTENSELY dry lips warrant me to use this even during the day - and applying multiple times per day. I admittedly shelved this product for a while (more convenient to grab a traditional lip balm since I’m constantly on the go) but have been using this consistently for about 2 weeks now. The cracks in my lips have almost completely healed, and I can now do a full toothy smile without any pain, discomfort, or worries that my lips are going to crack (yes, my lips get THAT dry!!). The best part is that this product has antioxidants and vitamin C from its real fruit ingredients, as well as hyaluronic acid. This product does for my lips what literally no other product can. A must-have for anyone with chronic dry lips.

This lip mask by Laneige moisturizes like nothing else. I used to out Vaseline on my lips at night, but now I usd this because it lasts longer. The mask comes with a little spatula to apply, so you don't have to put your finger in the tub. I usually use the spatula for a week or two before switching to my finger. The best part of this mask is the scent. The thing is, since I was young I’ve had thin-ish lips that chap, chap, chap. I’ve used and done everything under the sun and then some. Introducing smoking and vaping briefly later in life didn’t help. Now that I’m older, my lips are thinner, have lines and my bottom lip always has some perpetual chap. I used it occasionally, but didn’t understand the hype at all. I left it alone for a while and tried it again after several months and liked it a lot more the second time around and now I really like it. I have a TON of lip products, but this has made it into the top tier- not an easy feat. And, this stuff lasts FOREVER! I bought my second tub during the last Rouge sale as a backup, but I’m still using my FIRST one, which I purchased when it came out!!! Overall, this is a nice lip balm and it makes my lips feel really plump and supple the next morning. Sometimes I just use it to prep my lips before lip stain, or just as a lip gloss/topper. I like the scent of the berry one and cant wait to try the gummy bear flavour. Many people say that this is not sticky at all, but I would say this is a tad sticky, but still comfortable enough. Although I am a fan of this, I am giving it 4 stars because I think for it to deserve 5 stars, it should be easy to use. This lip mask requires an extra tool/spatula to use, which is easily lost and you cant purchase it separately. You can use your fingers to apply but I prefer not to contaminate my product. I was very skeptical about buying this product due to the price and all the hype it’s received online. But I’m very happy to say that the price is worth paying and the hype is real! I suffer with dry, peeling lips all year round and before I found this, I really struggled to find something that actually worked for me as they would either dry my lips out, make them peel even more, or I’d have to be constantly reapplying it. However, after the first use of this lip mask, all the dry skin on my lips had peeled off to reveal super hydrated and plump skin. It does not feel heavy on the lips at all and I use it comfortably throughout the day and night. It lasts very well on the lips and the results are lasting too.
