Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi-Balm Watermelon

I'm a big fan of the original 101 ointment, and this watermelon multi-balm works even better to hydrate my extremely dry lips. The watermelon multi-balm has a VERY light watermelon scent and the balm is clear. I didn't notice any flavor, which is fine for me. The balm has a nice thick consistency to lock in moisture and the tube makes it easy to apply without having to use your fingers. I'm used to reapplying lip products quite often, but this kept my lips hydrated for hours. Lano products are the only ones that actually soothe and hydrate my lips, and I've tried sooo many brands!! The packaging is extremely cute, too.

0% Watermelon...

I own like 12 different Lano balms. I think I have every scent, a couple of treatments and tints. all of the other fruity balms smell wonderful. They all have the same intensely moisturizing qualities. If I had to pick I think the apple would be my favorite. So I was pretty excited to see a watermelon option, thinking it would be just as good and.. it's not. it has ZERO watermelon scent AT ALL. NONE. NADA. NOPE. NOTHING. it is SO disappointing. I gave it two stars because the formula is still smooth and deeply nourishing on the lips but it is just like the regular 101 balm... scent free. scentless. nothing. And my sense of smell is intact and heightened. But this is a HUGE disappointment.

Absolutely amazing

I never need another lip balm after finding this brand. This lanolin lip balm has become my holy grail for lip care and it is everything I could ask for. the texture is thick, which I love in a balm like this, and even on days I wake up with cracked and dry lips, applying this lip balm makes my lips feel oh-so-smooth in only a couple of hours after application. The scent is not overwhelming but still present enough that you get a whiff of it on occasion while wearing it, and is deeply reminiscent of watermelon-flavored candy.

Adore these!

Absolutely love this brand and these balms. The watermelon flavour is divine and they last forever on your lips. The balm is quite sticky, but I like that because it feels like it’s actually working. Perfect for carrying around in a purse.

Barely a Watermelon Scent

Have to agree with everyone here - the Watermelon Scent is barely there & not even the sweet part.Very upset because watermelon is my scent obsession and you know I grabbed these the second they dropped. Very unfortunate.But, they are still the same Lano formula so they have that going for them. Lano is my favorite lip balm formula - not sticky, but thick and nice. Heals my lips when cracked and keeps them healthy when not.If these were the only scent they had I'd 100% buy them again. But they aren't the peach and pear are devine and I highly recommend those scents over this one -- and that is coming from a watermelon lover 😢Still functional/doesn't smell good ~~ 4/5

Hydrating barrier & lip balm

I’m always surprised when a lip balm actually does what it claims. Let’s be honest most don’t live up to the hype. This balm softens your lips without the need for frequent reapplications. I’ll definitely be trying other products from this range!

Save Your $

The chance to have a lip balm combat dryness and taste like watermelon was too good of an opportunity to pass up. However...this lip balm really does neither except gloss your lips with shine for a very short period of time. Disappointing especially because there is NOwatermelon taste. Save your $$and buy a cheaper drugstore lip balm. The package (that gets thrown away of course) has cute graphics though. Too bad the balm isn’t as wow worthy:(

Smells amazing!

I am really liking the product so far but time will tell if it actually makes a difference to the hydration of my lips. The smell is so so good if you are a fan of watermelon. It does not smell like cantaloupe too! ( I feel like some "watermelon" scents are like that)One con to me is how the tube looks like it has so much more product then it actually does. After only one thin layer of use. The tube deflated quite a bit upon my first application.

So moisturising!!

So I love this lip balm and am very excited to try the other flavours, I was dying to try this as most watermelon flavoured balms are quite disappointing. Unfortunately this doesn’t smell anything like watermelon to me, it reminds me of red apples?! Which isn’t unpleasant but just not watermelon. I feel like i get through the tube very fast also, hence my reason for not giving 5 stars. Still lovely all the same.

The scent isn't strong

I purchase mine at Priceline sometime this year. I had only ever used the Peach and Strawberry scent so I expected it to be as flavourful as that but the watermelon scent is very faint. I could barely make it out to be watermelon. It's still a very good product and does the job but idk if there's something wrong with this batch or if this is how it usually is but I would recommend the other scent over this.
