I had previously used another lip mask but it was not as convenient to apply as the Lano 12 Hour Overnight Lip Mask. The Lano lip mask was easy to apply without having to use a spatula type tool or without having to stick your finger in a pot. Very convenient and not messy at all. I've used the original 101 ointment almost nightly with great results and was slightly skeptical about whether there would be a meaningful difference using this one. After just one night I can now confidently say there ABSOLUTELY is. With the original, my lips would be soft and moisturized but I'd still develop tiny chapped patches throughout the day due to medication drymouth. The overnight balm did wonders; my lips were so smooth and plump and supple and for the first time, it wasn't a chore to put on lipstick. It took all the way till bedtime before I noticed any chapping. I am a convert and the only downside is that this particular Lanolips product is weirdly impossible to find in stores. I would give this product 10/10 stars if I could, for me personally I found it worked fantastic!I also used it during the day as I work in animal care so my lips tend to get very dry and I can’t reapply products constantly through the day, I found it lasted really well on the lips and I don’t have to constantly reapply it. I’ve also had many compliments as my lips looks soft and glossy. My only criticism is that I wish it had a balm applicator rather than the flat top as it would be easier to apply and not have to put on your finger.This will be part of my regular skincare routine. I would 100% keep using this product, kind of been sad I only have one tube as I need one at home, in the car and in my bag. I would give the lip mask 4/5.Normally I use the original 101 Ointment Balm before I go to bed so now with the lip mask, I would use the mask before going to sleep so I think it is a perfect through-the-night lip treatment and I will use the 101 Ointment Balm during the day.I would describe it as a buttery, sweet balm to not only keep your lips moisturized all night but also a treatment in the long run for dry & chapped lips. It doesn't matter how much balm I put on during the day or before bed, there was still frequent cracking and flaking. I've tried a few lip masks and nothing seemed to work better than plain Vasoline. Then I tried this. After just one night my lips were vastly improved and well on their way to healing. After about three night my lips were completely healed, soft, and supple. I've been using it every night since I got it and I find that my lips are less dry and less flakey when waking up. Pots and tubes are so unhygienic with having to stick your fingers in them. I stopped using a popular lip mask that comes in a tub(begins with an "L") because it made the condition of my lips worse - dryer, peeling, and painful. This Lanolips 12 Hour Overnight Lip Mask has been great for my lips! My lips feel soothed as soon as I apply this. In the morning my lips are much softer and feel so hydrated. This is a review after my 1st night using this product. My lips are one of my favourite features and I like to look after them. So I'm a lippy junkie especially lip care for all kinds of weather. This is amazing stuff I'm a lanolips fan they have a few products that miss but thus definitely hits. Afte a full lip exfoliation and serum I applied this and woke up to soft moisturised and hydrated lips. There was still product on my lips as all lip care should leave a coating which is a good sign. I will be making this part of my nightly lip regime. Its an extremely thick formula and hard to get out of the tube. The added vitamin c will help with the scarring and pigmentation I got from struggling with an illness which a few months ago. 10/10 recommend.

The tingling can be caused by the vitamin C although I was not aware of that being an affect because it is not stated on the product or Ulta site at all. I would say the tingling for me at least lasts about 15 minutes so if you don't mind it's still a good product. It's the first product I've ever tried that actually stays on my lips overnight well enough that I don't feel like I need lip balm in the morning; in fact I now don't even need lip balm until lunch, and I have chronically dry lips from Accutane!The only thing I dislike about this product is that it tingles for a few minutes after I first apply it, but Lano could fix that by replacing the ascorbyl palmitate with tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate.
