This cream is 98% natural with no artificial colors, fragrance, parabens, petrolatum, PEG’s, mineral oil, or sulfates. It’s ph balanced and tested for sensitive skin. It’s ingredient list looks good to me and I love that it’s from Australia. It makes my skin super soft and preps my face for makeup. It’s great in its own right but it’s also a dupe for a very expensive and popular makeup base by Bobbi Brown. I’d still rather stick with the Lano one because it’s a cleaner product and it’s actually affordable. I included a picture with the Lano cream on one finger and the bobble brown on the other so you can see the difference/similarities. Highly recommend!

Amazing moisturizer

I just purchased this moisturizer this week and I like it. Despite having sensitive skin, this worked beautifully on me. Because it feels tacky when you initially rub it in, it works well as a base for makeup and absorbs rapidly. When using the product on the face, a little goes a long way. Very hydrating overall, and it relieved my dry patches.

Another Lanolips Treasure

I am incredibly impressed with this cream. It is a very basic but well formulated product that does what it says...it is a moisturiser. I have just turned 50 this year and even though I haven't yet got any significant wrinkles to try and smooth out, I feel that this cream would be of benefit to anyone of any age.I like this cream for it's basic formulation because I put all my actives on underneath. Like my Dermatologist says, 'The only function of a moisturiser is to moisturise, anything else is a waste of money'. He says put actives on underneath while skin is still moist from the shower and seal them in with a good moisturiser. This is a good moisturiser. With it's ability to moisturise my skin perfectly and to leave a lovely velvety feel on my skin it provides the perfect foundation for my mineral powder makeup. Not to mention like the 'blurb' says it leaves a slightly grippy feel on the skin which is perfect for a primer. Also the lack of silicone means that it works well with natural water and powder based makeup formulas. My skin has in the past felt really dry by midday when using other products under my mineral powder, especially in the cooler months, but this cream solves that problem beautifully. My foundation also sits perfectly on my skin and looks incredibly natural when I use this under it, no dry flakey patches, just lovely hydrated skin.The cream is sort of thick coming out of the tube and it is an off white kind of colour. The smell is pleasant and difficult to describe, to me it's sort of like a yummy cinnamon bun but it disappears as soon as it is applied. Gentle but effective

This moisturizer is non-irritating and works well under makeup. It relieves dryness and tightness without being super thick or sticky. It doesn't cause my powder foundation to oxidize/turn orange, and it's unscented, which is good. The 3.5/5 hydration level and "day cream" labels seem accurate, as this isn't what I would use for a super moisturizing overnight moisturizer. It moisturizes without making my face overly oily or shiny throughout the day, and it works well as a primer to help powder foundation apply more evenly. A little goes a long way. I'll keep buying!

Holy Grail

Holy grail

This face cream is so, so, so good. I do use a bit more that I thought I would need to cover my face, but that is because it absorbs so quickly and thoroughly! I have very dry skin and live in the Midwest US, so autumn/winter equals tight, itchy, dry skin galore. Not with this cream. I do not have sensitive skin, but I don’t feel like this would clog pores. It absorbs completely into my face, instead of sitting on top like many other thick face creams. No left over residue. Again, holy grail. Thank you Lano!!!

I started using this product when my oily skin suddenly decided to become dry skin. I tried so many popular "holy grail" moisturizers and spent a lot of money searching for something that actually addressed dry patches and the tight, uncomfortable skin around my nose.This moisturizer is heavy- which I don't love. But the way my skin feels? Incredible change. I have extremely sensitive skin and am super acne prone. I've had moderate/severe acne since age 12 lol and this doesn't break me out AT ALL. Lano Face Base Day Cream

This product definitely surpasses all of the other Lanolips products for sure! This is such a nice moisturiser, I love the packaging as you can get every single bit of product out and it is super good value for money!! This is a lovely thick cream that applies really nicely and leaves skin feeling hydrated and protected. It is also really amazing as a base under makeup! I also used this as my main night time moisturiser and my skin has been great. Would highly recommend to try, I think this would be great for all skin types! Soaks into skin quickly and leaves no oily or greasy feeling. Would definitely repurchase!

On my 5th tube

I LOVE this stuff. I have dry skin, so I use it after moisturizer, not in place of it. It's the absolute best primer for makeup. Way better than any "actual" primer I've tried. I don't even wear foundation most days, just tinted sunscreen, but this underneath makes it look so incredible - smooth, even, and lasting. I apply over my whole face and neck, including the orbital bone. Everything stays put all day!I contacted Lano directly asking how they ensure the sheep who provide the wool for their lanolin are treated humanely. They said they only work with suppliers who are able to provide documentation proving they are cruelty free.

Tacky makeup base

I would use this more as a primer for makeup than just a moisturizer. When it "dries" (which happens quickly) it gets a really tacky texture. I've found that it doesn't work well for my particular foundations (YSL All hours, Haus Labs) as the foundation sits on top of it in a weird way- it ruins the "skin like" effect that I get from both foundations without using it. Could work with other foundations better, you never know but for me its a no go. I did also initially buy this as a potential dupe to try for the Bobbi Brown Vitamin enriched face cream since that one is so pricey and I can say without a doubt that it doesn't function anything like it.
