Awful Leak Issues

Don't waste your money on these bags. My son was hospitalized after birth and couldn't eat for a couple weeks. I used all 100 bags while in the hospital to freeze my milk. Now we are thawing them to use and almost every single bag has leaked from the bottom corner. I have lost close to 100oz of milk and have only thawed out a portion of the bags used. I cry every time I thaw them and see the puddle of milk. When I can catch it in time I put the bags in a glass cup to try to salvage some of the milk, but some is still lost and I can't always catch it in time. This was a HUGE waste of not only precious milk but also money. I do not recommend this product at all.

Don’t waste your money or you’ll be wasting milk!

I’d like to preface this by saying that I’m now switching to parents choice bags, as you can pump directly into them, and they seem to NOT LEAK unlike Lansinoh.I’m 10 months into my journey and have always gotten these bags but I’m FED UP at this point. I’m a working mom so I try to save time by pumping directly into the bags which was a huge help for me. It was also the main reason why I bought the bags. Well I’ve had MORE than I can tolerate with the leaky bags! It’s like a hit or miss. Sometimes I’ll get a good batch of bags, but the bad bags are a nightmare. There are moms that are just enoughers and NO ONE can afford to lose breastmilk over defective bags. When I lay them flat to freeze, surprise! MORE LEAKING. Yes, I make sure they’re sealed completely but the leaks seem to be coming from the sides of the bags. Such a waste, and this company should be freaking ASHAMED for putting out such a terrible product!!! 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

EZ to get in, Impossible to Get Out without Spill

Reviewing as a dad - biggest fallacy that cannot be overlooked is these are impossible to pour out of without spilling. So so so frustrating I searched out the companies site to review - as the only reason we have these is b/c they were out of the regular bags we have used - at Targét. They have oversized pieces to get milk in, but it's not irregular shaped to provide an area to cut, to drain milk into a bottle. If pouring from entry way, you are having to content with 2 oversized pieces of plastic (reference: NANOBÉBÉ bags) and ziploc that does not provide an even flow into a bottle's spout. Also, I have a few bags that were set back up (while filled), but soon sink over and spill while open, trying to contend with milk heating. HARD PASS. NO. DON'T DO IT.

Do NOT - I repeat DO NOT - use these bags to store your precious breast milk. They WILL leak while thawing. I have used almost every brand on the market and these are consistently the least reliable. I cannot put into words how absolutely gutting it is to see your hard-earned breast milk - invaluable sustenance for your child - pouring out of a hole in the bottom of the bag. Do I want to spend hours pumping just to dump ounces of milk down the sink? I am livid. They are beyond terrible and Lansinoh should be ashamed to have brought these to market. Absolute trash. If you absolutely must use these, make sure you thaw inside of a Ziploc bag so you can rescue some of the milk that ineviitably leaks out. Medela is the best in my experience.

Leaking!

These have always been my favorite brand of breast milk storage bags. The measurements are accurate and it’s very easy to get the air out and freeze flat, compared to the medela brand that I find to be too bulky. However now that my second child is 5 months old and I’m starting to use my freezer stash, a lot of the bags are leaking. Somehow they have a small hole at the bottom corner that starts to waste milk as it thaws. I don’t remember having this issue when I used the bags 3 years ago. I take out 4/5 bags from my freezer daily and I’d say at least 1 bag leaks everyday. I learned to stick the bags in a bowl to catch any leakage but it’s still pretty annoying. Other than that I would have rated 5 stars.

Milk bag vs milk bag

I normally use parents choice milk storage bags. I had to purchase these in a hurry and they were the only option at the time. The bags are not worth buying. The plastic is so thin that one wrong move can tear them. Some leak on their own. I just had to save a leaking bag that started leaking while it was just sitting in the fridge. God forbid you drop one. They splat as easily as water balloons. They also won’t stand up I have to lay mine on each other in a row. I will 100% recommend buying parents choice brand for cheap cost and good quality. Parents choice has thick plastic. Never had one leak and I’ve even dropped them with no problem. They stand on their own and don’t leak during the thawing process after being frozen. Parents choice is for sure a better option.

Several leaking upon thawing

I have two deep freezers full of stored milk. Now that I am starting to thaw them for use, a conservative 25% of the storage bags end up leaking from one of the bottom corners. After the hours and resources spent storing the breastmilk, this is incredibly disheartening, not to mention wasteful. It is not only a waste for the bag that is leaking, but also because I now don’t know whether I can thaw 2 bags for the 2 bottles I need for the day, or if I’m going to need to thaw 3-4, just in case some end up leaking and are not usable. I normally use the Medela storage bags but they were sold out so I ordered these ones to try, I mean they are way more expensive so they should be better quality right? Nah. They are so thin and flimsy, it’s insane the quality difference between the two brands. Not to mention that the bags don’t leak, until you freeze them and try to thaw your milk. Then all of a sudden they have a bunch of holes in them and you lose ounces of milk? That makes no sense to me. Then you also get the pleasure of cleaning sticky breast milk out of your fridge because it leaked everywhere and got onto everything. I mean between and newborn and toddler I have the time for that right? Thin bags, puncture and leak easily with ice

Warning: These bags leak very easily due to the thin material, which can be punctured by ice. We’ve been using these for a week, and already 3 bags have leaked (about half). We use an ice chest in the nursery to temporarily store bags that I plan to use for a bottle that night. We learned the bags are so thin that the ice was poking holes and causing leaks. So we tried putting the ice in Ziplock bags next to the Lansinoh milk bags to prevent direct contact. Still leaked.
