LARQ PureVis Advanced Filter 1.9L Pitcher - Pure White
The LARQ Pitcher goes beyond filtration with a unique 2-step filtration and purification process for pure-tasting water sip after sip. Step 1:LARQ'S innovative plant-based filters effectively remove pollutants like lead, chlorine, mercury, VOCs, and more. LARQ's filters last up to 50% longer than traditional brands, filtering 270L of water before needing to be replaced. They also use 75% less plastic than traditional brands. Step 2: Proprietary PureVis UV-C technology purifies your water by destroying bio-contaminants at the molecular level. Traditional filters simply trap and collect unwanted pollutants where they can quickly accumulate and multiply. By removing chlorine, the filters become the perfect breeding ground for bacteria in just 2 weeks—making the filter itself a source of contamination. LARQ's UV water purifying 2 step-process uses UV-C to purify the water after it's been filtered. The smart sensor on the filter tracks the volume of water filtered through, and notifies when you need to replace the filter.

I ordered the white pitcher and it has been working really well. Love the fact that it connects to your phone and it tracks how much water it’s filtered and the battery of the UV light amongst other things. In terms of the taste of the water, it definitely has a ‘smoother’ feel, if that’s a thing, and the taste is improved. Only thing I am not a fan of is the design of the flap at the top. You your it under your tap and the flow of the water pushes the flap open. I am not a fan of things for two main reasons; 1. The water drags any dust from accumulated on top of the pitcher. I do wipe it every couple of days, but naturally, there will still be particles of dust and other things accumulated on top, one would imagine that the lid/ flap of a pitcher is meant to ... I do wipe it every couple of days, but naturally, there will still be particles of dust and other things accumulated on top, one would imagine that the lid/ flap of a pitcher is meant to prevent things from getting into the pitcher, but the design of this pitcher essentially results in the water you pour dragging any dust or bacteria into the jar. And yes, I am aware that the water goes to the filter, therefore it is not like you end up drinking it like that. I understand that the water that drags the dust and bacteria from the top of the pitcher then gets filtered and the UV light gets rid of it anyways, but it still feels rather odd that they decided to design it this way. And 2. this mechanism also results in water splashing around the side of the opening of the pitcher. Naturally, you turn the tap on, and if the pressure is too high, because the first point of contact is the lid, it simply splashes around the sides of the opening, and sometimes goes down the opening where the filtered water comes out. On the other hand, if the pressure it’s of the water from the tap is too low, it doesn’t have enough pressure to push the flap open, and again, some water spills around the edges. So all in all, I understand it looks nice and it’s innovative and so on, but in practice is just a little odd and inconvenient. Not to mention that due to this mechanism, it is hard to see the level of the water until it reaches the top, and again, sometimes it spills around the edge. So needless to say, not a fan of this opening mechanism to fill the pitcher. But nevertheless, I do love the pitcher and I love the product. I would buy it again and I recommend it 100%. I just wanted to offer some constructive feedback for any new models in the future. If you are looking for a water filter, this one is definitely worth the money.

I love the fact that it filters out PFA's along with other contaminants because I live in PA and they have the worst water system. I like the overall design of the pitcher, except for a few minor details that I think were an oversight in the design process. First, the size. The space for the tap water to filter through is less than the bottom of the pitcher where the filtered water resides. Because of this, the height of the pitcher is very tall. It barely fits on our shelf on the fridge and i have to hold it underneath our sink faucet with one hand until it fills up and it gets very heavy for me which puts strain on my wrist. The lid where the water enters is a magnetic lever system where the weight of the tap pushes it down. it's not the best in terms of hygiene ... We purchased the LARQ pitcher for our household to eliminate the (bad) taste of tap water and remove potential water contaminants. We could taste the difference between the water from the tap vs. the pitcher: water from the pitcher tasted better. We tried to measure the pitcher’s effect on water contaminants via a simple — and inexpensive — commercial water test. The pitcher had decreased values of Nitrate and the total water hardness compared to our tap water on our “test”. Of course, the commercial water test measured only a small subset of values the pitcher likely affects. A proper water test in the lab would be better, but we did not want to take that route. Suggestion: please consider shipping such a commercial (strip) test to consumers with the ... We can move away from plastic/glass water bottles, and we are “insured against potential water contaminants” — as long as the one regularly changes the filter. We also enjoy all the other perks of this product, too: an app that tracks filter use and water consumption (suggestion: please consider updating the app to show values in liters), a practical pitcher top when refilling it, the convenience of ordering new filters, etc.We also look forward to the development of fluoride removal.
I’m honestly super disappointed. Not in the quality of the water, but how inconsistent the PureVis aspect has been. I followed the directions that came with the pitcher and for a month everything worked great. Every time I filled the reservoir the UV light came on automatically as it’s supposed to. I noticed though that gradually it stopped turning on automatically. At first I thought it was the battery, so I recharged it, but the issue persisted and the battery wasn’t dead either. So to compensate I was just activating the UV manually which worked initially and now even that has stopped working. Needless to say, I don’t think this pitcher is worth it or that you should waste your money. The PureVis is what really sets this apart and when it works it’s great, your ... My experience though has not been great. The technology is finicky. The battery is always green and doesn’t need a charge, but for some reason the UV won’t activate. I have a feeling the battery does not operate if it is cold which of course it will get because the pitcher is in the fridge. Lithium ion batteries perform poorly in the cold so maybe its my fridge. Poor design flaw of the pitcher IMO.
Saw Justin **** with his Larq pitch on Shark Tank. I was intrigued immediately as the pitch for a product with the highest evaluation ever requested on the show unfolded. (500G for 1%) Please google Larq on Shark Tank to learn all about it.Over the last 3 years I have purchased 3 water bottles & 2 jugs.WOW! The clearness,(no) smell & taste of the water is beyond belief. I have used others ex. Brita & Berkey but neither hold a candle to Larq. Brita doesn't filter enough & Berkey takes forever, takes up space, isn't portable & is never cold.My Larq jugs sit in the fridge & a single charge holds for 6+ weeks. Filters go on sale & I change them out every 4 mths. (suggested is 3mths but 4mths works for me) Just lift the lid, reach down, pull the old out & insert the ... It also offers a 3 minute mode if you are in areas where you are uncertain of the water quality. We all drink so much water now because it tastes so great! Seriously, it is one of the BEST purchases I have ever made. Yes, there is an initial sticker shock but the quality and peace of mind is unsurpassed.
I’m excited for this change in my water filtration pitcher. I generally drink a lot of water, so taste and quality is important to me. It’s also important to limit plastic waste. I am impressed by the technology and how easy it is to use. I feel comfortable and confident that the blue light and filter are getting rid of any impurities in my drinking water. The cost to replace the filter is not to expensive and will auto ship every other month without any extra steps from me- very convenient… I love my LARQ. I recommend replacing your brita, pur and any other filtration systems for this type of pitcher. I hope LARQ will start working on filter/ technology for refrigerators also. I highly recommend you check this product out, and you will not be disappointed
Let's start with the positive: the filter. I couldn't tell you exactly why it is better than my old Brita, but it is. It's just more drinkable. I find myself reaching for the water much more naturally and just drinking it faster. There was always something about the taste previously that wasn't 100% right for me. I'm not particularly tin foil hat, and I think UK water is safe. For me it was about drinkability, and for this the filter wins a firm thumbs up.The design of the jug is less appealing. Firstly my first one wouldn't charge. Replacement cable, didn't charge. Replacement wand, now works. In fairness to the customer support team they were fast and eager to help, so no issues in getting it resolved. What I hate most is the filling. My old filter was hands ... Firstly my first one wouldn't charge. Replacement cable, didn't charge. Replacement wand, now works. In fairness to the customer support team they were fast and eager to help, so no issues in getting it resolved. What I hate most is the filling. My old filter was hands free, I pressed a button to lift a little flap. This one you have to direct water at the lid. Firstly, this means the top of my expensive jug already looks unclean and not appealing with water stains and limescale deposits forming in just a month. It looks bad for such a premium product. Also I question the logic of deliberately flushing whatever dirt and toxins are on the lid into the water jug. Okay the filter may filter it, but why do this on purpose?Additionally, when pouring water from the jug sometimes it seeps out of that lid so you're getting that unfiltered, contaminated water pouring into your glass - yummy. The jug is also too fat for my fridge door, which means I've had to remove a fridge shelf and put it in the middle of the fridge; as a result I've lost a lot of storage. This is my own fault for not checking measurements, but I just assumed water filter jugs would fit in fridge doors. The app canes my iPad battery, but you can resolve that my turning off background activity for the app. The app needs some refinement, like being able to turn off daft stats on how much money you've saved on bottled water. It's just nonsense - I never bought bottled water much and I certainly wouldn't use it to feed plants or the cat. So it's fake stats that I'd prefer just to turn off. Also, no Android app is unforgivable in 2024. For a premium product, I expect more.Overall great filtering, shame about the jug.
Sure it looks cool but it is not practical. It is messy and borderline unsanitary that you can’t lift the lid up to fill the device. The lid is inverted so to get water into it, you have the stream on top using gravity to open inward to fill. Which is not possible if you keep it in the fridge - it is too cold to open on its own so you have to use your hand. Then there is water on top when you are done filling. It doesn’t hold much water at the top either because of this inverted design flaw. It holds condensation inside the container. While that’s probably just fine, it looks terrible and reminds me of an old plastic water bottle that has been sitting out for weeks. Glad I did not toss my Brita, I will be going back to that.
I have been using Brita filter water pitcher all my life up until switching to Reverse Osmosis (10 years ago). Both my parents and I dislike the taste of RO for its acidity. Importantly, it wastes gallons of water in exchange for 1.5 liter of water! Extremely wasteful for the environment! The filters are expensive too! So we went back to Brita filter pitcher. We just can’t stand the aftertaste water from Brita. I first bought the PureVis UVC light water bottle. I pour the already cooled down boiled filtered Brita water into my PureVis bottle. I sanitize it each time I pour the water but I still can taste some unpleasant aftertaste from Brita. I never drink pure Brita water. I always make it into tea or coffee.Anyway, the Larq PureVis water pitcher has been on my mind after owning the PureVis bottle. I’m asking myself, do I really need it since we already have several Brita pitchers in the house. After a long decision making. I finally cave in and decided to pickup the Larq pitcher. Been using it for a week now.The taste does drastically improve over Brita filters. It’s more clean and pure! No aftertaste at last! And I don’t ever need to boil the Larq filtered water before drinking it!It sure is expensive but it actually worth the price to pay that much over Brita!Brita will grow green algae slimy substance in the bottom of the water pitcher! I would have to clean it every week before it grows back. And it grows back pretty often which is why I switched brand! The PureVis should eliminate green algae from producing in the water pitcher! That’s why it’s extremely important to boil Brita water before drinking. To **** bacteria !
