We ordered the Laurastar Smart U ironing system from Williams Sonoma and we were very excited about this amazing ironing system. The 45 pound box arrived looking a little beat up and when we were setting up the iron we noticed the board was damaged where the fan connects underneath. So we called William Sonoma and returned the product without any issues and they sent another one. The second box arrived and it too looked beat up. When we opened it we discovered that the board was damaged on the side and part of it was broken, so we called William Sonoma again and explained the problem. They said they would reach out to Laurastar and ask them to write FRAGILE on the box before shipping. So again we returned the damaged one and were sent a new package. The third box ... I am very disappointed and blown away that they don’t take more care in packaging this product for safe shipment. Three strikes are your out so we are done waisting our time with this.

This is a great ironing system. Easy to use and store. It takes the same account of space as a regular ironing board. I like to iron in general, but this system made me fall in love. I was ironing a silk dress with lots of pins and tucks, it was a breeze. I couldn’t have done it with a regular iron. I’m so glad that I got it.I gave it 4 stars because it came in chipped and the water purifier beads were all over in the box.

The Larastar Smart U ironing system really makes ironing clothing/fabric yardage enjoyable. The blowing fan eliminates wrinkles. The SensiSteam is extremely helpful. Customer Service is excellent--I was able to speak to a real person, who connected me to the person who answered all my questions, offered me an alternative solution if I wasn't happy, and offered additional helpful tips.
My husband says it looks steampunk, between the hose that goes from the water reservoir to the iron, and of course, all the steam noises it makes. The Laurastar app says I've used this steam iron system for 9 hours now, and I’ve only had the unit for 3 weeks. I think I’m ironing everything now, it’s such a pleasure to use. It’s easy to set up and take down, and I love the active ironing board! I look forward to laundry day. Ironing with the Smart U is out of this world! I iron everything including my cotton sheets. This system makes the process fast and everything wrinkle free! I love the fan feature and the power of the steam. The ironing board cover is also great. It has lines to guide in the folding of your garments for a consistent width to fit nicely in the drawers. Investment in this unit is absolutely worth it! I highly recommend this ironing system.

No questions asked, they sent me out a new reservoir and received it 3 days later. With the teflon plate, I was able to iron over vinyl (I also make bags) and get out some really stubborn creases with no melting. I also like that the cord/water pipe hovers just over the fabric, so there is no wire catching whatever you're ironing and you have to reposition. Where has this thing been my whole life? My only wish is that the water reservoir was bigger so that I have to change the water out less, but it still lasts longer than all the other irons I bought through Amazon. If you have the means, I would definitely splurge on this wonderful ironing system!
Does not iron better than a $30 iron but is very heavy to pull out, unfold, fold, and bring back. I literally ironed once with it and now it is standing there, collecting dust because my old iron does same job with less effort.
Received this ironing system as a gift and what a wonderful gift! A steam iron that doesn't leak water over my fabric or clothes. As a quilter, I have not found a better iron to get my seams flat. The best part of this system is that the steam is not hot, but so very effective! Love this ironing system!
I’ll preface this review to admit that I hate ironing and if I didn’t love linen and crisp cottons I’d abandon the entire chore. Over the years I’ve owned several brands of bigbox stand alone irons and steamers. I’ve also owned the Miele FashionMaster System. This became my introduction to iron and board systems. After having many issues with it; spitting water, broken wheel, leaking - I decided to try the Laurastar Smart unit.My experience with the LS has been amazing. It produces a much finer steam and penetrates the fibers with the board system much better. I’ve cut my iron time by half using this system and results are professional finished. LS could improve on the reservoir size and wheel system - however those are minor quibbles.The LS system is miles ...
