My favorite decaf. When this product was not available for a recent period I bought Starbucks whole bean decaf to substitute. It was acceptable but roasted too dark for my taste and had a burnt aftertaste. I will not do this again. Thank fully Lavazza dek is available and I have already received my order. Thank you.

Sorry to be an outlier to all the five-star reviews, but I found this decaf extremely disappointing--sharp, off-tasting, extremely bitter. Perhaps it's the robusta beans. Or maybe the fact that the package lists no roasting date but expires in one year!! I've been a decaf espresso drinker for years and maybe I've been spoiled by the complex flavors and smooth finish from decafs by specialty roasters like Stumptown or Blue Bottle, but this reminded me of many of the espressos I tasted in Italy, which often tasted burnt and sour.

If you like an Italian espresso shot w/o caffeine this is the right coffee. With is nutty flavor and balanced taste Lavazza Dek is my favorite coffee for more than three decades. It is good for espresso and or Moka.

I wanted to give this a try and I'm moderately pleased with the flavor. It's nothing to write home about, but not exactly bad or bland.The price however, sheesh! I'd much rather support this company over other online sellers that shall remain nameless.But come on, $26 is WAY too much for a bag of this. Crazy.
One of the very best big roaster, decaf, non-espresso, medium-roast coffee available. Lots of chocolate and some natural vanilla undertones, to my tastebuds. Great coffee that nobody would believe was decaf if you didn't tell them.
Good stuff, these are properly roasted quality decaf beans. Aside from expensive micro-roasted decaf, it's surprisingly difficult to find good decaf otherwise.
It is not the same as the gran filtro past but it's the best decaf I have found.Why Lavazza stopped the old bean selection is beyond me. The previous and long running decaf was 100% arabica. That was truly the best decaf I have tasted. I was told by Lavazza that the DEK is the same coffee bean with a new name and packaging. The new DEK is a blend of arabica and robusta. It's close but no cigar. Why change perfect?
We recently got a new coffee machine that grinds coffee beans. We decided to try the Lavazza Dek Decaf Espresso Whole Bean Coffee. We both found the coffee quality, aroma and taste very good. We will be purchasing it again in the near future.
As expected. This decaf doesn't sacrifice taste. It's dark but not bitter. We're happy with our purchase. Price was fair - we've seen better and worse. We bought a bunch to stock up as we think inflation will continue.
