Items were well packed. Box is intact and brand new looking. Some of the grenade bars were abit mushy - like 20% melted-softness so I quickly put them in the fridge once it arrived to firm it up a little. Not the seller’s fault, possibly due to 2 day delivery schedule, ninjavan very hot… caused the bars to go soft a little. Using this for my fat loss diet - paired with daily cardio as I have a sweet tooth. My protein layered is very good… as well as grenade. Solid, love the white and milk Choco flavoursNo more free protein gifts like they used to do - no extra sample bars from other brands or shakes anymore… abit disappointed but it’s a small thing.

A solid treat

The peanut butter flavour Layered Protein Bar has been my go-to as a protein-rich treat for the past couple of years, and frankly for taste and consistency it surpasses most of the store-bought market brands quite easily! Whereas some bars can be incredibly tough and tooth-achingly chewy, the double layers of protein (plus the soya caramel layer) in this bar are softer with a decent chew, without completely collapsing or taking ages to get down. Don't pick the peanut butter flavour whatever you do

Thought PB and chocolate couldn't really go wrong, but it is genuinely dire. So, they taste like nothing, there's no discernable peanut butter or chocolate taste... you're just left with a dry mouth whilst chewing a texture. Awful. I got the chocolate fudge box & speculoos (biscoff/lotus) too. Chocolate fudge = slightly better but still weird vague taste 3/10. Speculoos = a lot tastier and are probably the best flavour on offer 6/10. PB = 1/10 a bar of mouth-drying texture absent of any taste. Myprotein please do better on these bars, they're terrible compared to the likes of Bulk's & the Mars protein range. Great bars (with caveats).

First of all, I love these bars! My favourite is the birthday cake ones (they're so nice and sweet) and, secondly, white gold (so much like a Caramac!). And 25g protein! That's MUCH higher than most competitors! But, now, the negatives... Firstly (and most obviously), they ALL contain palm oil, and there's no label of it being ethically sourced (you would have thought if it was sourced correctly, they'd advertise that, and, as they don't, you must assume it's badly sourced...). Tried to do a subscription for them once - total fiasco! If one flavour was out of stock, yes, you could change it (if you knew), but no-one will tell you... If your entire subscription order is comprised of stuff that's out of order, well, they just won't deliver anything (just hope it's not ... MoreFirst of all, I love these bars! Hit and miss - LOVE the easter egg flavour!

I love the layered bar in the easter egg flavour, it's literally so soft and cakey and has a chocolate sauce layer inside that is dreamy. However, when re-ordering the easter egg ones (they're limited edition so 10/10 recommend getting them while you can), I also ordered the speculoos, white gold and chocolate fudge ones. I'd say none of them really do it for me sadly. The Speculoos one is probably the best of the 3 but it is definitely not as 'Biscoff' flavoured as I'd hoped. It's more cinammon-y than I prefer though so if you like cinnamon you may love them. The texture of the white gold and fudge flavoured ones are just too stodgy and chewy for me compared to the easter egg one. Basically, these are great in the easter egg one, not sure I love the rest.

Overall these are great because they're very low in sugar and high in protein. I carry these with me most days to the gym or uni for a snack in between meals. I even have it with my morning coffee (dunking it in to melt) before heading to the gym! Only two things I have to say, Birthday Cake is very gross compared to Coconut, Cookies N Cream and Chocolate and I wish the price was lower because I'd buy a lot more products at once in bulk. Even with a 45% off sale, I can't really justify buying them compared to Vega/My protein, protein powders because you get more portions and more protein for a lesser cost in my opinion. If this applies to you too, I'm sure they will have more sales but it's just a matter of waiting. Makes me wonder how many reviewers have eaten a proper cake??

First things first, for me at least I've never expected protein bars to taste great being more of a last resort. I stupidly followed reviews of the cake variant, in this case the Vanilla Birthday Cake and its nothing like a cake and typically for a protein bar, very hard until slightly warmed from summer storage. Its a very artificial tasting bar thats imho quite unpleasant. If you think this tastes like a cake you guys need to visit a decent cake shop or learn how to bake! Choc Sundae, Brown Sugar Bubble Tea & Choc Peanut Pretzel are more passable but taste is subjective. Don't do what I did and order a whole box during a promotion, I'm now stuck with 12 of these things. Please make this a regular flavour option

I have never found a protein bar that I would rate more than “it’s not bad actually…for a protein bar”. No matter how imaginative the recipe, I would usually still always score less health-conscious bars higher in taste, texture and overall experience satisfaction. However, this one was so scrummy that, if fat/sugar/bad ingredients magically did not factor in, I would still choose one of these Easter Egg edition layer bars over an unhealthy treat of choice. Please, please make this a regular flavour that we can buy throughout the year. You will surely sell out ASAP! Goes Well With: Coffee, a bad day, a good day, an empty stomach, other savoury drinks such as iced coffees, etc. as it provides all the sweetness you would probably want.
