Features: A real workhorse: fit for the oven, hob, induction or under the grill. Great tasting food: the cast iron construction retains heat for even cooking and browning. Your delicious creations will also stay warmer at the table for longer. Easy-grip: its stylish and comfortable handles allow for safe lifting. A helping hand: The helper handle means it's easy to lift and move between your hob, oven and table. Perfect pours: Spouts on the sides make pouring simple (and drip-free). A rainbow of colour: available in an array of colours, our range will inject a pop of vibrant hues in your kitchen. Not too hot: cook with a steady, low to medium heat to take care of your cast iron and enjoy delicious results. The choice is yours: available in different sizes to suit your kitchen needs. Ages gracefully: the enamel interior develops a natural patina that will behave like a non-stick surface. Its finish also has great food release properties with less seasoning required. Clean the product only with water so that the patina can be developed. Best in class: our products are crafted from the finest materials in facilities around the world, ensuring the quality you expect from Le Creuset. Material: Enamelled Cast Iron Manufactured in: France Guarantee: Lifetime Style number: 20182261700422 Dimensions: Length: 44.2 cm Width: 29.9 cm Height: 5.5 cm Depth: 3.6 cm Care & Use: Storage: Freezer Compatible Care: Dishwasher Safe Before First Use Enjoy unboxing your new purchase! (And make sure to remove the labels and packaging.) Wash your Le Creuset product in warm, soapy water; then rinse and dry thoroughly. Cooking Stay protected – always use oven gloves when handling anything hot. Metal utensils may be used with care but they should not be used harshly or scraped over the cooking surface as this may cause damage Use the product on the most appropriately sized hob ring — it’ll make your food cook more evenly, and reduce the risk of damage to the handles and sides. This is especially important on induction hobs: if you use the wrong-sized ring, there’s a risk the hob won't ā€˜recognise’ the product. Cooking on a medium or low heat gets the best results — even for frying and searing. Let the product heat up gradually for great tasting food that’s cooked evenly. If you do need to use a higher heat, lower the setting once the desired heat has been reached. Never slide the product on any glass-topped hob/stove top, as this may cause damage to the product base and the glass. Instead, always lift the product on and off, or across the surface. Cleaning Wait for your product to cool down before you start cleaning it. Wipe any leftovers off the base and sides of the product. If there’s food stuck on, fill the product with warm, soapy water and let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes before washing as usual. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or metal, harsh abrasive or very stiff cleaning pads or brushes on any of the surfaces. Dry well after washing and store in a dry place.

After seeing a lot of positive reviews and needing a new frying pan I decided to purchase this product. I have always had non stick pans and wanted to purchase something that would last a lifetime (like my John Lewis stainless steal saucepans- so far going strong for 6 years and my dads are going on 26!)I had done abit of research on which frying pan, seeing that stainless steel are typically more difficult to work with (re not sticking) so I opted for a cast iron pan instead.I had minimal knowledge on how to look after this pan but understood that if you correctly "season" and wash the pan it will hold its non stick quality. Therefore, if you are considering this pan you must do your research on how to look after it or you will hate it.The first time I cooked with it, everything stuck and I kept accidentally flicking things out the pan due to its shallow sides. - this was my error for using the pan to cook gnocchi, however, something to note if you wanted an all rounder pan this is not it.Once I got the hang of using the pan (a lot of oil, seasoning after use, drying thoroughly) it has been a dream.I got the black colour so that it won't discolour over time and it feels sturdy and well made (like all le Creuset!)However, it is extremely heavy. I am fairly strong but due to the short handle length and weighting of this pan it is almost impossible to pick up with one hand when cooking. The handle also gets very hot if cooking on the hob for long periods of time.As noted previously, this is not an all rounder pan. This pan is best used for meat and fish as it gives a lovely crisp coating without burning. If you use this pan for smaller food such as gnocchi or mixed veg be prepared for it to flick onto the floor. It is expensive for a pan however, it truly will last a lifetime and is much healthier and safer than non stick pans.Cleaning it is also very easy! Some hot water and a scrub daddy do the trick!

Gorgeous, wouldn’t go back.

Have had this pan (in sea salt) for about a month now, and it is gorgeous; the perfect vessel in which to bake loaves.I paid Ā£165 for it and although it is pricey, you get what you pay for, and, as with all Le Creuset, I know I’ll be using this for decades, and it will almost certainly outlive me.I mostly make basic white loaves, milk loaves, and wholemeal loaves in it, probably one every 2/3 days.It is beautiful, practical, and I just love popping my oven on to prove at 40oC with the shaped bread inside, and seeing how it will look in the gorgeous pan.I also have the round covered bread oven (in cerise) and I still use that for rolls, cobs, and I use the base as a pan for small dishes cooked normally on the hob (think creamy mushrooms for toast) - so don’t ...Ā MoreHave had this pan (in sea salt) for about a month now, and it is gorgeous; the perfect vessel in which to bake loaves.I paid Ā£165 for it and although it is pricey, you get what you pay for, and, as with all Le Creuset, I know I’ll be using this for decades, and it will almost certainly outlive me.I mostly make basic white loaves, milk loaves, and wholemeal loaves in it, probably one every 2/3 days.It is beautiful, practical, and I just love popping my oven on to prove at 40oC with the shaped bread inside, and seeing how it will look in the gorgeous pan.I also have the round covered bread oven (in cerise) and I still use that for rolls, cobs, and I use the base as a pan for small dishes cooked normally on the hob (think creamy mushrooms for toast) - so don’t be thinking you should only get one of the two pieces - I use each one several times weekly! If you can’t be bothered with all the kneading etc for a bread, get a cheap/second hand automatic bread maker, and just use the dough function. That will just mix, knead, and 1st prove your dough without you getting your hands dirty, then you just tip the dough out, punch it down, shape it and pop it in your gorgeous loaf pan for proving again, then you’ve got a proper-looking and tasting country loaf.Haven’t used it for any cakes though obv could do a banana bread easily in it … will experiment soon between loaves!

Another beautiful piece from Le Creuset! The Chambray is so pretty and a true grey/blue tone compared to the much lighter Coastal Blue. The 26cm size is great for cooking smaller meals for two to three/four people compared to the 30cm which I use for four or more people. If you're trying to decide between a shallow casserole and the round casseroles, I'd recommend the shallow casserole as the wide, flat bases make them a more versatile option. I find I use them more regularly for everything from slow cooked casseroles to frying, sautƩing and searing. I also find enamelled cast iron cleans up really easily too, so that's a bonus. I look forward to cooking with this gorgeous casserole for years to come!

I am SO angry & disappointed. Take this comment SERIOUSLY!
2 July 2024

I made a point of reading all the instructions, even though I'm an experienced cook, because Le Creuset is supposed to be one of the BEST, and I wanted to make sure I used it properly. The very FIRST time I cooked on it, I used a low setting (as suggested) and regardless of the type of food; protein, carb, fat, etc. it stuck to the pan. Not just sticky, wipe off with a sponge, but stuck on- ENGRAINED in the pan itself! I used the pan a few more times just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind, but it is definitely an inferior product. It looks like the coating was sprayed on so thinly, that it makes the pan virtually useless. Someone at Le Creuset thought they would save money by putting on less surface coating to save a few cents and then NOT PAY for the return ...Ā MoreI made a point of reading all the instructions, even though I'm an experienced cook, because Le Creuset is supposed to be one of the BEST, and I wanted to make sure I used it properly. I couldn't wait to get this baby out of the box, and use it. I've fried chicken, pork chops, and baby back ribs. I've made one pot pasta meals, and homemade gravy. Just like my 44year old Le Creuset pan- terrific
24 September 2024

I have another Le Creuset larger skillet that is now 44 years old. It is still fantastic. I love it and use it often. This purchase was because I thought I needed a smaller Le Creuset skillet, as well. It is also fantastic. Heats up to very hot with the electricity only turned up to medium. The lips on the skillet make it easy to pour food. The double handles are also very good. It was a shame my husband took to it and burnt sugar on the base. I am working on cleaning it without destroying the patina. Highly recommend this pan, but for inexperienced cast iron pot users, it may take a little while to get used to the characteristics.

I have several Le Creuset casseroles, round and oval and different sizes. My oldest ones I purchased in about 1988 and are a nut brown colour. The latest colour at that time. I have used all of them dozens of times to cook casseroles, braised meats, stuffings, rice pudding, Yorkshire pudding etc etc.Considering their age they have served me well. The interiors have lost their lovely appearance but still do the job well. The cast iron cooks the contents well and holds the heat so the temperature can be reduced. I always soak them in cold water prior to washing. If I am left with a stain I fill with cold water and add some bleach. They still look good enough to put on the table to serve.I am looking to add to my collection but will still used my old ones as ...Ā MoreI have several Le Creuset casseroles, round and oval and different sizes. The interiors have lost their lovely appearance but still do the job well. The cast iron cooks the contents well and holds the heat so the temperature can be reduced. I always soak them in cold water prior to washing. If I am left with a stain I fill with cold water and add some bleach. They still look good enough to put on the table to serve.I am looking to add to my collection but will still used my old ones as well.Great value as they have been well used over 40 years.

Love, Love Love this Dutch Oven

I debated about size, and finally chose the 5.5 quart one. I think it's perfect for me in preparing recipes thatmake enough for 4 or 5 people. I wouldn't want larger. Usually I'm cooking for just two of us, and I can getenough made for two separate meals, if not three. The weight isn't that heavy, it's easy to handle, pick up,and clean. When you cook with these Le Creuset dutch ovens, you have to modify your use of high heat. I havea gas stove, and I keep the flame at medium to medium low, and many things once heated get turned down toa low simmer. The pan cleans up like new every time. If you let it cool, then fill with water to soak for 5 minutes, whatever is on the pan will come off with no effort at all. I hand wash, then dry the pan. With this kind of careful but not difficult care, the pan will continue to look beautifuland like new. I bought my pan in the beautiful dark teal color, which seems to now be discontinued. I alreadyhad a bunch of wood and silicone cooking utensils, and I don't plan to use metal except perhaps a soup ladle, which wouldn't scratch the pan anyway. The ceramic interior is very strong, but I don't want to risk scratches. This pan and this size is highly recommended as it's big enough but a manageable size and weight.

So Disappointed
12 August 2024

This is not a 10.25 inch pan. I don't know of anyone that cooks up the sides of any skillet. The bottom measures 8 inches, so that's what this is, an 8 inch pan. Only prep before use, per instructions, was to wash in hot soapy water. Bacon and eggs stuck on med low heat, WHAT? I've cooked with cast iron before, never had sticking problems. Soaking for a few minutes in hot soapy water released all food, but it never should have stuck in the first place. Not happy, I've longed for this type of cookware for years, such a huge letdown. I'll stick with what I already have, money wasted, should have read the reviews. To all that have had success, very happy for you.

Takes time to learn to use it, but worth it.

The quality, like all Le Creuset is amazing. It DOES take some getting used to, and admittedly I’m not 100% there yet! It’s the whole low and slow thing. Medium heat is like a high heat, so it requires low-medium heat and it takes longer than your average frypan. It is not non stick, you need to use oil, butter etc. As long as you read the instructions and follow directions (try to ignore everything you’ve ever known using other frypans), you’ll get there. It is a process though, so don’t give up! They're a beautiful looking pan and the flavour they give your food is so good. Theyre an investment, not only money but time and effort learning how to use them but worth it all. I love the fact I’ll have it forever.
