Bought this on sale after falling in love with a Le Creuset oval roaster I received as a gift. Bought this intending to use it for my daily morning eggs (fried, scrambled, or omelettes). However it is not ideal for delicate foods like eggs. No matter how much oil you use, it is no where near non-stick. The eggs inevitably end up difficult to flip or maneuver in the pan and alot of it ends up stuck on the pan. I've tried every recommendation including preheating appropriately, avoiding too high heat, etc. Always the same result with stuck eggs. It requires soaking for 10 minutes before you can easily clean the pan.Otherwise it is wonderful. For the few times I use it for sauntering veggies, searing meat, frying burgers, etc it is wonderful.Very pretty in ...Ā MoreBought this on sale after falling in love with a Le Creuset oval roaster I received as a gift. Iāve been using this 2-3 times a week for 8 months now and it still looks brand new (Iāve been putting it in the dishwasher that often too). This isnāt a fry an egg and it slides off onto the plate type of pan so donāt set your expectation on that. I usually start off by browning my meat, then sautĆ©ing onions and garlic, then deglazing the pan with wine or broth and incorporating that into the dish somehow. Everything comes off so easily that I could lightly rinse it off in the sink afterwards but Iām too lazy to even do that so in the dishwasher it goes and nothing has happened to the surface yet.Cons:1. not the most nonstick pan but Iām willing to sacrifice that for a safe surface to cook my food on.2. itās heavy! You need to hold it with both hands so I usually need my husband to help me hold it up while I scrape food out of it. Iām willing to deal with the weight for a quality cast iron core.3. It takes awhile to warm up and you have to start on a low heat and gradually move up to a high heat to protect the surface. Again, a mere inconvenience and the bright side of this is that once it reaches the ideal temp it stays that while for a long time.3. because itās coated, I have to use silicone coated cooking utensils. Other uncoated cast irons allow me to use metal on it. However, this is an inconvenience I am willing to tolerate in exchange for the pan being dishwasher safe unlike other cast iron pans. I also LOVE that the interior is black so I donāt have to be bothered with the discoloration from cooking. This truly has been one of the best investments Iāve made. I recommend this over all the other trendy pans.

I have several Le Creuset items that I love. I was excited to purchase this small fry pan. I read all of the directions to cook properly. The first time I used it I cooked some skin on salmon in olive oil. The fish pulled some of the pans finish off. Now I have what looks like a brand new pitted pan!! I am very unhappy with this. I have cooked in cast iron for years and never had this happen. I have continued to cook in it and it seems to work fine, but the pitted marks are still there and it is disappointing as these pans are not cheap.

Craftsmanship is outstanding. Cooks evenly and easy to clean. Loving the blue color. Make sure you use oven mitts or gloves when your handling the pan. The handle does get hot. Recommend to cook between low to medium. No need to over heat the pan. Great purchase. Awesome gift to any cook that wants a solid pan in their kitchen. Could also be used as a weapon just kidding, Maybe š. Enjoy.
I canāt recommend this pan highly enough. I bought the 10 1/4 version and will be purchasing the 12ā as well. I rarely write reviews but this pan deserves it: after 3 months of almost daily use I love it! I have many All Clad pans, their most expensive version, as well as older Le Creuset pans and Staub. This new frying pan surpassed them all for daily sautĆ©ing and frying, itās simply marvelous. Le Creuset coating has GREATLY improved, canāt emphasize it enough. Donāt know what they did to it but the difference is very tangible, and for the better. Almost hard to believe any product has changed for the better, usually itās the opposite these days. Very pleasantly surprised. Have recommended it to all my friends. I have also used it with a cast iron cover from ...Ā MoreI canāt recommend this pan highly enough. I have also used it with a cast iron cover from smaller Le Creuset Dutch ovens. If youāre cooking for one you donāt even have to take a Dutch ovens or braiser out, this pan + cover does the job.
I was so excited to get this skillet. However Iāve been totally disappointed by it. Ever since the first use, everything I tried to cook got stuck to the pan, all simple daily family dishes, from scrambled eggs, tstir-fried veggies, to fried rice⦠I dare not try cooking tofu in this awful pan. I followed the cleaning/caring instructions word to word since receiving it. Iām just perplexed how Le Creuset can fail me like this. TBH this is the first pan I own in this particular Le Creuset collection.
I love this skillet. I've had the 10.25-inch one for a number of years and couldn't be happier with it, so I finally bought the larger size. I know these skillets aren't technically "nonstick," but they're the next best thing. If you're careful to preheat the pan, keep the heat under control, and use a little oil or butter, nothing sticks. Cleanup is easy with a little hot water and a nylon scrubber. I'm sure this skillet and all my other Le Creuset pieces will outlive me!
Be honestāhow often do you buy ānon-stickā skillets? For years Iāve searched reviews, read warranties, and made purchases based on the information I found. Iām diligent in care and use of these delicate surfaces. Whether I pay $30 for a Costco skillet or $150 for a premium skillet at Sur la Table, after 2-3 years, everything sticks and heat transfer is uneven from day one. This skillet is different. Cast iron is the best material for even heat conduction. I was a bit skeptical when I fried eggs this morning in a skillet that did not require pre-seasoning, but they slid out without a bit sticking to the surface.I cook with an induction stove. Iām so pleased with Le Creuset that I purchased the square grill pan and the Dutch oven.
This is our 3rd Creuset purchase, and just like the first two, the quality and craftsmanship are of the highest standard. We love this cast iron skillet! It cooks stuff so well, and the non-stick enameled surface is exactly what it says it is. It is a heavy skillet (we have the larger diameter one), especially when full of food, so keep that in mind. But there's the extra handhold on the side to help with the handling of it. The only downside is that the main handle gets hot after the skillet has been on the element for a while. But otherwise, this is an excellent product!
I cannot believe how happy I am to have gotten this pan! I've only used stainless steel pans or cast iron for over 25 years since I found out how toxic non-stick surfaces are. Recently, I've had too many things stick to the stainless and I went in search of a non-toxic non-stick pan. They don't exist in reality, no matter the fancy advertising. I had just given up when I saw this pan on sale and looked into it. It's like a regular cast iron pan, but already seasoned, it comes already non-stick. I am so happy. I've used it several times and have been very happy with it! I even fried an egg...it didn't spread out all over the pan, since the pan was too big, it's what I expected since that's what it does in a stainless steel pan that's too big. And, I flipped it easily ...Ā MoreI cannot believe how happy I am to have gotten this pan! It is heavy, but not quite as heavy as my cast iron pan. So, I am a fan...and cannot wait to get the bigger size now.
