We love this sturdy tea kettle! I selected the warm red color. My husband loves it, too! He unpacked it and gave it the very first run! We enjoyed hearing the whistle! The tea kettle is very sturdy and safe to use. There was no need for an oven mitt, when pouring, although the manufacturer advised using one. But, the handle is well placed and no fear of steamed water burning or anything like that. It poured extremely well. The kettle is exceptionally nice to use and brings a cheerful, cozy vibe to our kitchen. We hope to have it for many years together. There are cheaper kettles, but they are nothing like this one. It was worth every penny. We are so happy with this purchase!

This is a fine kettle minus two caveats. The kettle flip poring spout has in the past not stayed open over time. That results in possible steam burns. The second is that the handle ā€œ couldā€ be continued to the backside, making pouring much easier when coming to the end of pouring. The arm is raised much lower if the handle has a position to the back of the handle. Now, I just use a pot holder and it works fine. Just saying if the company cared about making this a better kettle, these could be two improvement areas. For us, even with these suggestions, we still love the kettle. We are just careful when using. The spout still works fine on our new one and the handle, well, we just use a pot holder. There are way more great hints about this kettle than two minor ...Ā MoreThis is a fine kettle minus two caveats. The kettle flip poring spout has in the past not stayed open over time. Beautiful

It’s a beautiful piece but it’s fussy! I think the rule that caught me the most was to wait 5 seconds before opening the spout or pouring the boiled water. After using the kettle I understand why. The water remains so hot it’s still boiling as you pour. Also the black interior does make it difficult to see the water level. After I’ve used it for a while I’ve come to love it. The main reason for buying it was because it’s one piece, no bottom seam, nothing to leak over time. Plus, the name helped. I expect quality and durability from Le Creuset. I expect I’ll never have to replace this kettle.

Beautiful and perfect for induction cooktop
21 July 2024

I was looking for a stainless steel whistling stovetop kettle to replace my electric kettle, because I have a new induction cooktop and it boils water so quickly. This kettle exceeded my expectations. Water boils in 1-3 minutes depending on how full the kettle is. The hinged handle folds down for easy filling. The whistle starts quiet but gets nice and loud if you don't tend to it right away (a good safety feature IMO). I see a complaint that it spills when pouring. I had that experience only once, when I failed to follow instructions. This kettle is also gorgeous in stainless steel. Perfect for my "transitional" blue-and-white kitchen that has mostly modern but some traditional features, sitting atop my Cafe induction range. Guests in my home immediately notice it and say now beautiful it is. They all want to know where they can get one.

Expected better of Le Creuset
6 June 2024

I have a favorite and often used Le Creuset covered baking dish that developed a crack on the inside of the dish. I wanted a replacement immediately! The same piece was no longer available so I bought the dish that looked somewhat different but had almost the exact same measurements. However, when I received it, it was totally different than my original piece. It was a little deeper but the actual bottom area was significantly smaller. There was no possible way it could replace my original dish. I was very disappointed. My baking dish is only a couple of years old and not only did it develop a crack (it was never dropped or bumped) but now I can’t even replace it. I expected better of Le Creuset.

Gorgeous Kitchen Decor, Versitle
13 June 2024

My husband bought this for me from Nordstrom and I adore it like it is crystal it’s so beautiful. However, it is very durable and strong. It is made in France and is a unique and stunning Dutch Oven, Soup Terrine, great for making and serving all sorts of French and other cuisine like soup, pho, chili, stew, beef Bourgogne, pumpkin and squash soups, steaming and boiling eggs, veggies like Artichokes, broccoli. It’s is the talk of the kitchen and incredible versitle.I leave it on the cooking range as decorative item. It is definitely an heirloom piece meaning you will pass it on to your next generation.

Maybe don't buy this....

I was excited to buy a new kettle after our one at home finally broke. I ordered one in artichaut, it was on sale, it came quickly and looked beautiful. The first use big chunks of enamel came off the bottom. That day I contacted Le Creuset to see about exchanging this and was told that the enamel coming off was user error, that I either I used an induction stove top on power boost or boiled the kettle dry or put the kettle on without any water. They said that because the issue was user error they would offer 50% off a regular priced kettle (I thought mine on sale). I argue that this is not user error as I do not have an induction stove and I am not an idiot and know how to put water in a kettle and boil it. The kettle was in my home less then 24 hrs when I contacted them and I have thousands of dollars of their products in my home that I haven't had any issue with using them. I responded that I think they should reconsider the user error and they did replace the kettle but the new one has no warranty which I think is disgraceful of a company charging what they charge for items. Additionally, when looking for advice, I was told by many people in the Le Creuset Canada Facebook group that these kettles rust really easily and many people noted that they would not purchase one again for this reason. Also, I had an issue when they mailed out the replacement kettle. Years ago I purchased a gift for a wedding and had it shipped to the brides. The CSR put the brides name on the order even though the original order had my name on it. The post office wouldn't release the kettle to me at first because of this issue.I would suggest purchasing another kettle from another company (Staub sounds good) or buy the stainless steel one.

Quality and Style in one!

This kettle is a classic pop of color to my kitchen! Le Creuset makes quality products and in my personal opinion, is a great investment to your home! For those with bad reviews, they clearly did not read the instructions on how to properly use and care for the kettle (i.e - using extremely high heat instead of using low heat.) The kettle heats quickly even with medium to low heat. Always heat your kettle with water in it, and don't let water stand in your kettle when you're finished. Always dry your kettle before storing to avoid rust. I've used this kettle many many times, and have yet to have any issues with it. It is a bit frustrating to see people writing poor reviews about a quality product because they do not read the instructions and do not properly use it. It is a quality kettle, and if taken care of, should last you for many years to come.

THE STICKERS
10 February 2024

My mother bought her first Le Creuset in Paris nearly 60 years ago and I was raised with them. I love my own Le Creuset cookware - its quality and function have always been a benchmark. My wife wanted a new kettle for her birthday - something colorful. Naturally a Le Creuset was the choice. She was so excited to open it on her birthday morning and make her morning tea. Then we saw the stickers. The awful, tenaciously-attached, paper, delaminating stickers - on the lid, the side and underside of the kettle. My heat gun was not present, so we did our best with a hair dryer. And again when the sticker stuck to the counter edge where I temporarily placed it while I used some solvent to get the residue off the kettle bottom.Le Creuset - do better. Thousands of manufacturers with much less of a pedigree than your own make stickers that pop off cleanly without tearing or leaving such a mess. And in the meantime sell this adhesive to NASA for use on a shuttle nose cone.
