Received this from my registry for my wedding shower. Used it to make a chicken/ risotto dish in the oven on 375°. Was in for maybe 15 minutes when I heard a crack. I opened the oven and the bottom of the oven was on fire from the food that fell through when the item snapped. Clear cut broken. So sad and disappointed.
If you make smaller meat roasts or boeuf bourguignon, this covered casserole will meet your requirements.The lid height fits perfectly over roasts and roast chickens.
I bought this item a few months ago and finally decided to use it. Started to cook with it and we hear a loud "pop"! The roaster had a huge crack in it! If I push on it, it's going to break in half!! I always wanted some of these pieces but will never spend that huge amount(even on sale) for le creuset...total rip off!!!
