I recently purchased a brand new Le Creuset pot to go on our new induction stove. Despite the fact that the Le Creuset website clearly states that their enameled pots can be used on induction, the pot has scratched the glass top of our brand new stove HORRIBLY. Beware when using these products on a glass cook surface. We have owned many Le Creuset products over the years including cast iron enamel and stoneware and have never had these issues in the past. I don't know what has changed with the make of the product, or if this was a one time defect, but we are very upset.

I already own this in ganache and later had buyer’s remorse for not buying the Olive, too! The stores nearest me sold out in the colors I wanted quickly. I’ve read plenty of reviews about customers having issues with online orders, but bit the bullet to get the colors I wanted. I received my order a couple of days ago. The 2.5qt French/stew pot in French (mist) Gray and the deep Dutch oven in Olive. Sure enough, I opened the box and the stew pot was less than I expected. First, the inside enamel appeared darker than my other pots. It’s similar to the inside enamel color of the Ganache, which I’ve used a few times already. However, I do believe the inside was lighter when I first bought it. The inside enamel was also darker than the Dutch oven in the same order. I ... There are droplets of the light enamel coating on the cast iron rim of the lid. Not sure if this will effect the performance. Also little specks of indentation in the bottom of the pot and below the rim of the lid. When you make the choice to start collecting Le Creuset, you are giving yourself the best. It’s always a joy to open a new purchase . This was the first time I felt slighted. Where is the quality control?! This will be returned.

I bought this a while back and I’ve used it for several different types of things: frying, simmering, smothering. I really love the quality of browning I get with my meats and how it makes everything I cook taste like it was made slowly and intentionally. I also love the deep feature. I have the wide round shallow le creuset Dutch oven that is the same circumference and I feel like these two pots are so versatile. It’s also easy to clean and when food gets stuck on the bottom a little baking soda and vinegar helps things slide right out. I’m in love.

The best thing about my Le Creuset Dutch Oven in Nutmeg is it is GORGEOUS!! The finish is warm with lovely modern cool tones. Of course the main reason I purchased this piece is for the functionality. You certainly get what you pay for. The enamel finish cleans up beautifully and the cast iron distributes the heat evenly throughout the cooking process, retaining heat perfectly throughout. The weight is solid but not so heavy that it makes using/cleaning it a chore. In fact, this is the first piece I reach for with most my dishes!! So happy with my purchase, and already planning on purchasing the braiser as soon as it goes on sale! Thank you, Sur La Table for the great purchase and the excellent customer service!!
I purchased this dutch oven in white and in smaller sz because the 7.25qt that I purchased from another online store was just way too heavy for carrying. I really like this size, 2.75qt. It's perfect for our family of three and I've used it just about every chance I can. So far it is easy to clean. I would not suggest using any kind of metal in it. I made the mistake of using a metal skimmer to take the crumbs out while the duty oven was still being used and almost scratched the bottom of it. I used some baking soda and a soft sponge to scrub/wash it and thankfully the scratched looking marks came off! Baking soda is key to light scrubbing for these enamel cookware.I've been wanting a le creuset dutch oven for years now, so I'm thrilled there was a sale decent ... I wouldn't buy it at full price because the lids do get quite hot during cooking time and you need a heatproof mat or glove to grab the lid each time. I would still recommend it though.
This 5.25qt size has been on my mind for awhile and I bought it on sale :-) I absolutely love it and it has been very well used in the week that I have had it! The sides are taller than the traditional dutchoven which makes it perfect for browning. The tall sides prevent spatter on your cooktop and it's smaller "footprint" make it easier for me to store. I have made soup, chili, and spaghetti sauce and cleanup of my cooktop was so much easier! The pot itself is very easy to clean. I have another bigger Le Creuset (over 7 qts) which I use a lot, but I think I will use this even more and I am shocked at how much of a difference it makes. I am very happy with it!!!
This thing is incredible. Pea soup vessel extraordinaire! I have a beautiful Staub dutch oven but I prefer the white interior of the Le Creuset. I ordered the stainless knob for the Le Creuset so that I can bake at a higher temp. I like the look of the flame and stainless, too.Consiglio’s is an outstanding place to deal with. Excellent selection and prices. Pretty sure a Le Creuset braiser is next. I wouldn’t even look anywhere else. Consiglio’s has my business for good.
The pot is wonderful. Very big. Nice weight, beautiful finish. The yellow is much nicer in person. Full cooking surface for a wide range of foods. Will be a nice addition to our collection. The reason for losing a star was due to the shipping. Both pots ordered were put in a larger outer box with no padding. The result was both of our Le Creuset boxes (the orange ones that we use to store when not in use) were badly crushed. This is very unlike WS in regards to shipping. They usually wrap each box in bubble wrap, and then put in a large outer box with no damage. The outer box was way too large, and the top of it was completely crushed in, causing damage to both Le Creuset boxes. I took the credit and called Le Creuset, and they said there was nothing they could do.Very disappointing experience. Not used to this from WS.
I wish I had bought this Dutch oven first. Cleans like a dream, stove to oven with no issue at all. The weight was a big factor in my decision to purchase. I had a staub Dutch oven that was just too heavy to lift. This is heavy, but about 6 pounds lighter than my old staub Dutch oven and far easier to clean. From this Dutch oven’s performance, I am looking at smaller Dutch ovens to handle daily cooking (only my husband and I). Love this and wish I had purchased years ago. You cannot go wrong with this Le Crueset Dutch oven.
Love the size of this, but was disappointed in the quality. The first one I got in Sea Salt color got rust spots along the edges after one use. After washing, I even made sure to leave the lid off for several days to allow it to dry. Took it back and ordered a replacement, but they no longer had the color I wanted; first world problem, I know, but when paying $200+ for a pot, I want it to be one that I love. Replacement did arrive speedily and after washing and drying, I oiled the edges so I wouldnt have another rust situation.I've used other Le Creuset dutch ovens and have never had this issue. Make sure you keep the edges oiled!
