Our classic cast iron casserole with a unique handle design. Incredibly versatile, this kitchen icon will help you craft succulent stews or bake the perfect bread or cake. The cast iron construction means it can handle all heat sources, and it also keeps your food warm for longer – ideal for serving your creations to the table. The Le Creuset round cast iron pot has been crafted to the highest quality since 1925. Cast iron is one of the best materials for cooking, as it builds heat gradually, distributes it evenly, and retains it brilliantly. Enjoy all those qualities on a smaller (and very adorable) scale and use it for serving soups, baking small gratins or making delicious desserts. Suitable for use on all hob types, including induction, and in the oven, the casserole makes a perfect serving dish too as cast iron keeps food warmer for longer at the table. Individually cast in sand moulds and hand crafted at the original French foundry since 1925, Le Creuset casserole dishes are protected by a Lifetime Guarantee for total peace of mind.

A gorgeous pan, perfect for slow cooking

This is the second Le Creuset pan I've purchased. The first one was a smaller cassadou pan. This pan is almost twice the capacity. It's perfect for good sized pot roasts or for chilis, you name it. Le Creuset pans are great for slow cooking and slow baking. (Like an apple/pork dish that I make.) Now that I have a good sized pot I'm going to make some pork ribs, which cook for eight to ten hours on a low heat and see how they come out. Visually this new pan is stunning. I got the agave color, which is a gorgeous shade of deep turquoise. It's satisfying to have world class cookware that is also so pretty to look at and dresses up a kitchen when it's not in use.

Beautiful Pot / Quality Control Issues

Nordstrom has been great with the online ordering, delivery and even the return in store. However, Le Creuset really needs to improve their quality control. There were dark marks all along the name area and other areas of the pot because the color covering was too thin. It also had way too many pinholes. I can understand a couple maybe? Now I’m trying to find a pot in much better condition and every store I call that has one on hand in store that inspected for me and sent me pictures, all have the same issues, some less than others. Le Creuset…these pots cost way too much to expect your customers to be happy about poor quality. Nordstrom, thank you for your great customer service, which is the only reason I’m giving 3 stars!

Every single pan I own
27 July 2024

About fifteen years ago I discovered the joy of cooking with cast iron enamel pans. I purchased a very inexpensive set that was beautiful, but cumbersome, dead heavy, and rather poor quality, suffering chips and worn enamel in short order. But it was enough for me to fall in love with cast iron enamel, and I decided to invest in Le Creuset. After getting my first pan, I was hooked; I love the way the heat radiated throughout the pan, evenly cooking food and keeping it hot from stove to table, so I continued collecting pieces. With so many beautiful colors, naturally it was impossible to stick with just one, so I now have several different colors in my collection, and I probably have too many. With so many beautiful colors, naturally it was impossible to stick with just one, so I now have several different colors in my collection, and I probably have too many. I display them on a metal étagière in the kitchen. My favorite piece is the large braiser in Coastal Blue, which is so beautiful that I can’t imagine why they discontinued it. Maybe it didn’t sell. Other favorites colors are Ocean, Meringue, and all the whites. There’s one tomato red Dutch oven, I don’t remember the actual color name, but it’s brighter than Cerise, and I love how it reigns among the white and blue. Oh, did I mention they are all such a pleasure for both cooking and serving? Yeah. And I’ve never had a problem cleaning up, even on the few occasions when food got burned on the bottom. Every piece still looks beautiful! Maybe it’s because with so many pieces, no single one gets constant use, but I’ve also heard from people who use one pan for everything, and I totally get it. If you’re not squeamish about a little lifting, I heartily recommend you try Le Creuset’s cast iron enamel cookware. Good luck choosing a color.

Other than my chef's knife, the 6 3/4 qt. Le Creuset Signature Enameled Cast Iron Round Wide Dutch Oven is the single most cherished piece of cookware I own. I own a lot of cookware, but excluding nonstick cooking, the Round Wide Dutch Oven is the one piece of cookware that seems able to do the job of everything else.I can sear steaks and any kind of meat with it if I want. I can make a gumbo or a nice pot of red sauce for spaghetti. I can braise. I can broil. I can poach eggs. I can build a roux or nurse along a gravy. I can roast. Spatchcocked Dutch oven turkey turns out fantastic. And just this weekend I used my Round Wide Dutch Oven to make Pernil, a Puerto Rican pork shoulder roast, that delighted both family and friends. And with its beautiful nectar ... MoreOther than my chef's knife, the 6 3/4 qt. Happy shopping, and as Jacques Pepin likes to say, happy cooking!

POOR QUALITY/FINISH
23 February 2024

I own many LeCreuset dutch ovens and braisers and recently purchased the 6 3/4 QT Round Wide Dutch oven in white. I love the size and lower sides of this dutch oven, however, it came with too many imperfections such as the iron being visible throughout the top of the lid and in the bottom of the pan. Looks like it was due to poor paint spraying and finish. I returned it to the store and the clerk ordered a replacement. When I got the replacement I noticed that they sent me the exact same dutch oven with the same imperfections so I took the second back to the store and was disappointed with the explanation from the store Clerck that the imperfections on the finish appears only on the white colored pans. Too bad that the quality has gone down on LeCreuset products, not worth it for the price.

Perfect size for a small family.

I purchased this dutch oven in white and in smaller sz because the 7.25qt that I purchased from another online store was just way too heavy for carrying. I really like this size, 2.75qt. It's perfect for our family of three and I've used it just about every chance I can. So far it is easy to clean. I would not suggest using any kind of metal in it. I made the mistake of using a metal skimmer to take the crumbs out while the duty oven was still being used and almost scratched the bottom of it. I used some baking soda and a soft sponge to scrub/wash it and thankfully the scratched looking marks came off! Baking soda is key to light scrubbing for these enamel cookware.I've been wanting a le creuset dutch oven for years now, so I'm thrilled there was a sale decent ... MoreI purchased this dutch oven in white and in smaller sz because the 7.25qt that I purchased from another online store was just way too heavy for carrying. I wouldn't buy it at full price because the lids do get quite hot during cooking time and you need a heatproof mat or glove to grab the lid each time. I would still recommend it though.

I bought my Round Wide Oven in the the color Merseille, a gorgeous blue. It arrived in perfect shape, and I am in love. This piece is as wide as a 9 quart Dutch oven, but with shorter sides, which is the best of both worlds to me. This means lots of surface area at the bottom for browning, but the sides are short enough for comfortable stirring and easy transfer to the oven or table for serving. The lower sides also make the lid more visible when the pot is on the stove top - an unexpected bonus. This pot is wonderful for braising, sauteeing, stews, casseroles, one pot meals and so much more. I just made Coq au Riesling, and it was a huge hit. I served it straight from the pot, with a large cutting board underneath to protect the table. My 1st order of Le Creuset arrived and I'm once again excited to cook! Married for almost 40 years, I had a career as a food writer and recipe developer. I can't tell you how many sets of cookware I've gone through that was a whole lot cheaper; when you have to replace it regularly, it isn't money saving. The weight of this 6.75-qt. Signature Round Oven concerned me a little (I'm 62), but that speaks to its durability. Testing it out, I can fit a roast in the center with vegetables to either side--the width makes that more possible than with a standard Dutch Oven or roaster. Perfect for a family or if you entertain guests. As another reviewer stated, it's oven to table.
