In terms of the look and design. This rice looks so nice. The enamel is shiny but not too shiny. It is not so heavy. The 2 Liter size is perfect. The stainless steel knob compliments the enameled body.I was adamant at first of it cooks better than a rice cooker and the cooked rice result is beyond my expectation. The rice is pluffy, not overcooked, not soggy but the cooked rice is perfect.There is a stoneware cover inside that retains the heat so the rice can be warm for a while.I am a happy camper with this rice pot.

It?s spectacular. I?ve used it for soups, chili and plan to make Christmas prime rib in it this year. The first time I used it, I made lentil soup. I noticed the inside enamel finish looked dull at the bottom and thought it was ruined or defective, but I splashed a little white vinegar in it and wiped it out. It was shiny again. I guess some foods can leave a residue in it. So I always wipe it with vinegar and rinse it and it looks pristine again.

The best thing about my Le Creuset Dutch Oven in Nutmeg is it is GORGEOUS!! The finish is warm with lovely modern cool tones. Of course the main reason I purchased this piece is for the functionality. You certainly get what you pay for. The enamel finish cleans up beautifully and the cast iron distributes the heat evenly throughout the cooking process, retaining heat perfectly throughout. The weight is solid but not so heavy that it makes using/cleaning it a chore. In fact, this is the first piece I reach for with most my dishes!! So happy with my purchase, and already planning on purchasing the braiser as soon as it goes on sale! Thank you, Sur La Table for the great purchase and the excellent customer service!!

My wife loves everything about this Dutch Over. She has made so many great meals, since getting it for Christmas. She has baked breads, soups, and everything in between. We got the blue which matches our stove. Beautiful, not cheap, however, this looks like it will be something you can hand down to the next generation kind of quality. Highly recommend.
I have waited a long time to start my own Le Creuset collection. I love to cook, and I've always heard such great things about the Le Creuset brand. However, they are quite pricey! I finally decided to splurge on the 5.5 Round Dutch Oven - and I am so glad I did! I've made stuffed peppers, marinara sauce and a pot of soup so far. It warms up quickly and cooks so evenly - its amazing. On top of everything, clean-up is a joy. It just wipes clean. I purchased the Meringue color and it is gorgeous! My biggest decision now is whether to collect all the same color - or mix them up! Either way, my collection will definitely be growing.
I own a Japanese made kamado-san, it makes amazing rice, but using it is a little bit of a hassle for me since I don't have a gas cooktop. Rice cooked in the kamado-san is only the weekend treat since I have to lug out my portable butane gas burner every time. Will be a nice addition to our collection.The reason for losing a star was due to the shipping. Both pots ordered were put in a larger outer box with no padding. The result was both of our Le Creuset boxes (the orange ones that we use to store when not in use) were badly crushed. This is very unlike WS in regards to shipping. They usually wrap each box in bubble wrap, and then put in a large outer box with no damage. The outer box was way too large, and the top of it was completely crushed in, causing damage to both Le Creuset boxes. Don't be like me and wait five years to spend the money on this amazing piece - just do it. I've gotten so much joy out of making my own bread, experimenting with new recipes, making soups and stews where the individual ingredients actually stand out because the pot cooked them so well. Also, don't be like me and burn your pot.....yeah.... I burnt the pot. If you do, just fill the pot with water and add baking soda. Let simmer for 8 to 10 minutes - she'll be brand new again. I bought the 7 1\4 quart size oven in Nectar from my local Williams Sonoma store. The yellow is gorgeous and was a big factor in my decision to buy. I don't recall seeing it before now? Wish they had the 9 1\2 quart size in that color. Totally worth the money and a lovely experience in using it.

I have been taking care of these pots for a decade and do not usually have problems with them. However, I had a problem with a Le Creuset enameled cast iron round oven as the lid keeps rusting in 3 spots, the spots where there is some welding indentations or divots. I feel like this is a defect and not a cleaning/care issue as my other pots do not have this problem. After reaching out to Le Creuset they told me that it is my problem, to clean it with barkeepers friend and season it. I have never had this issue with my other enameled cast iron pots, even with other Le Creuset lids.
