No idea when she purchased it, I have always wanted a larger skillet. My daughter purchased the 30 cm skillet for my birthday and I am super happy with it! I also have two Dutch ovens.

The first LeCruset I purchased was the Oval dutch oven with grill as the lid and it blew me away. I was astonished as how easy it was to work with and how much better it made food taste ~ and it was a dream to clean. When I saw this pan, I expected the same performance. Sadly that has not been the case. Everything sticks to it no matter what I try and the clean up is a nightmare. I wish I wouldâve returned it as I rarely use the pan. I purchased a cast iron pan from Cooks Essentials that blows this one away at a fraction of the price. I would not recommend this pan, definitely not worth the money at all.

I like this skillet a lot. It's beautiful and functional! I cook turkey bacon in it, sauté fish, vegetables, etc. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because I agree with one reviewer that it likely needs to be seasoned, even though the description says it doesn't. I am often using a silicone spatula to not leave a quarter of my fish cooked in the pan! Despite using oil and the like, it still seems to stick. So am planning to season it in the next couple of weeks.
This is my go to pan. It is permanently on my stove. I start in the morning with eggs, grilled cheese for lunch, shepherd's pie for dinner and skillet cookie for dessert. AND you just have to rinse out the pan between meals. Or not. My pan is over 10 years old and perfectly seasoned so scrubbing is rarely needed but when I do have to "clean" it, I use water only and a mesh sponge. I have also read that cooking in a cast iron pan helps maintain blood iron levels so that's an added bonus! This is a lifetime plan - no screwed on handles to fall off and no non-stick coating to flake. It's def a keeper!
I bought this for my daughterâs wedding shower. Both Alexis and her fiancĂ© are still raving about what a fantastic skillet this. Given that I am not one for cooking, at all(!), I was somewhat shocked. But, she had requested that I purchase from the selection of cookware. I have to admit that I was somewhat surprised by the price for one skillet. Apparently, as I have subsequently been told by my friends and daughter, this is the ârolls Royceâ of pans! The sales people at Bloomingdales were also tremendously helpful and genuinely seemed to be excited about my selection. And, here I was going to buy a couple place settings of her fine China!! I will be back for that sometime soon, thoughâ I still need to throw my shower for Alexis.
This is my third Le Creuset purchase, I have the 26cm with the grill marks which I love, perfect for cooking steaks, but found it to be a bit small when actually cooking (rather than staring at it in store) but the 30cm is better for a family or two bigger portions of protein. I have lodge cast iron, but I'm yet to properly season it, so it barely gets touched, this is where the enabled cast iron just takes the hassle out of it. Even cooking distribution, best used in low to medium heat. Buy now and use for a lifetime!
I have used this pan a total of 3 times under low-medium heat, and have had it in possession for 2 months. After the third use, I noticed a small chip in the enamel - I contacted customer service and Le Creuset wonât stand behind their product. According to their own verbiage you would notice a defect within the first few uses. And yet, rather than honour their warranty, would rather try to get me to repurchase another skillet.I am really disappointed with my experience. If you are looking for a quality product and a company that stands behind their product, look elsewhere.
I have in search for a cast iron skillet. I came across Le Creuset. For one, I love the brand, and two they have a pre-seasoned skillet. I was so excited. What a great purchase. I am very pleased. It sears perfectly. I cook great hamburgers in the skillet as well. It makes life easier. Clean-up has been a breeze. Very nice skillet. I love the 12" size of skillet for everyday uses. I need to get the 10" now.

I had just given up when I saw this pan on sale and looked into it. It's like a regular cast iron pan, but already seasoned, it comes already non-stick. I am so happy. I've used it several times and have been very happy with it! I even fried an egg...it didn't spread out all over the pan, since the pan was too big, it's what I expected since that's what it does in a stainless steel pan that's too big.
