The mugs are currently may favourite tea and coffee drinking cups. The colours really are wonderfully varied from muted soft tones to in your face Le Creuset classics (such as the original Volcanic found on their cast iron cookware many years ago). The colours on the John Lewis website accurately render the 4 colours I have on my own mugs. They are very solid and claim to be oven safe pottery, so may provide an alternative use for the imaginative cook. As a result they significantly exceed the weight of a similarly sized bone China mug, but I would expect if you like the styling of these it is unlikely you would be shopping for a fine China mug.Despite their heft, they will likely break if dropped on an unforgiving surface, but I can imagine they might just ... MoreThe mugs are currently may favourite tea and coffee drinking cups. The pre-warm is recommended. Also the ceramic finish while highly glossed does retain a tea stain, but strangely not every time, and even sometimes survives the dishwasher. But they do come clean with a further rinse and dry with a glass cloth. That might be down to the slightly hard water I am supplied with?Expensive at RRP, but worth the money especially if you can wait for inevitable offers to come along.

Who ever considered that such an unassuming object as a ceramic mug could induce such a vivid experience as one has when one 'experiences' le crueset. The history of the brand and craftmanship in design and quality is present every time i gaze upon and use my Le Crueset mugs & other kitchenware. They are as much as an investment in long lasting quality as they are in lifestyle. Its beautiful. Its practical. I am absolutely hooked.

Our Le Creuset cups developed dark grey lines around the inside rim soon after purchasing them. We purchased a lot of them and so contacted Le Creuset. On inspection, their quality control team said it was from stirring with teaspoons. This is ridiculous as such marks would then appear at the bottom of the cup not around the top inner rim. In the end, we think the marks are from the 3M green/yellow sponge we use when washing up as the rough side seems to be scratching the inner surface, even though the tag that comes with the cups says to use a scourer on the product where necessary. Now we only use a very soft sponge to wash them and not the dishwasher. The cups are made in both China & Thailand. The fault mostly affected the cups from China. Obviously the manufacturing quality control is poor. Le Creuset replaced the cups but the same issue is returning despite extra care. Their Cup webpage says that their 'glazed stoneware is scratch resistant'. I expected a better quality product from Le Creuset but the brand is obviously not what it was. We would not buy Le Creuset again based on this experience and the quality control team's guesswork as to the damage's cause.

I bought every member of my family a Le Creuset mug for Christmas. I chose colours from throughout the entire range, appropriate to the receiver. Even the kids loved their mugs! The glazes Le Creuset uses are spectacular - Dark Teal a particular success. Black Satine was judged too nice to be taken back to University - it would get pinched! John Lewis packed everything beautifully in a large box and delivered it to the relatives I was spending Christmas with. I then wrapped them individually. All of us were very, very pleased.
Love my nighttime routine which includes a Swiss hot chocolate before bed. I have a few large cups but wanted one that holds the heat & is big enough to not have to refill. I purchased this in colour black & I’m so pleased with it. It was safely delivered inside another item I ordered which made it more secure via transport. Recommend this mug all day long I now cannot wait for my hot choccie later. Thanks the hut for the super fast shipping, great prices & fab quality X
I make my cheese sauce in this pan, then add in the cooked pasta, a bread cube topping and it goesright in the oven. It makes an awesome baker lid off. I also found a nice polished stainless bolt ( food safe) and nut that fills the steam holesnug or loose or remove. this way you can bake with the lid on and keep the moisture in. My classic recipe fitsthis pan perfectly, it bakes on time and so evenly. So useful.
I've used Le Creuset mugs for years as they are such great quality and last ages if you look after them properly. I bought two of these sets (one in Meringue and one in Shell Pink); Meringue is a lovely off-white colour and Shell Pink is a beautiful soft pink both with subtle ombre detail. The mugs wash really well and can be put in the dish washer / microwave. They come in a substantial box and would make a really lovely gift (e.g. housewarming gift). I would highly recommend!
I absolutely love Le Creuset mugs, I have been buying them for years as they are such great quality. You can put them in the dishwasher / microwave over and over again with no issues whatsoever. They hold their colour really well and are so easy to wash, they also don't crack/chip easily. The 350ml size is perfect for your standard cup of coffee/tea. I love how they come in so many different colours - I have four different colours now. I'm on a mission to replace all of my mugs with Le Creuset ones!
Throw out all your other crap mugs and replace them with Le Creuset 350ml mugs. I am so glad I bought these. If $30 is too much for you, hang around for specials which will see you get them between $15-$18 like I did. Simply the best mugs to drink out of, ever. Big, well made, great insulating properties, and the stoneware is not too thick, not too thin. Wonderful.
