I was initially very pleased with this pan.It's a decent size and not overly heavy however it has a relatively small circular base so doesn't heat evenly with the sides/edges heating poorly.I was hoping that buying a more expensive pan from a quality manufacturer would result in a pan with some longevity. Unfortunately, after about 18 months of occasional use on an induction hob (avg 3-4 times a month) the pan has now warped significantly and so it rocks on the hob. This means that base isn't in full contact with the hob, making the heating issues more pronounced. A griddle pan should be able to withstand high temperatures but this pan cannot.
As a previous reviewer commented, the base warps after about 18 months use, making this pan useless for induction hobs. As the base area is quite small, it's not very satisfactory over gas, either. Given the price of the pan, this is exceptionally galling. Non-stick surface hasn't performed particularly well.
This pan is SO much better than my old Staub cast iron grill pan. The cast iron pan is ponderously heavy, a pain to clean and the amount of smoke it gives off when grilling, you'd think you were using a BBQ indoors. This Le Creuset grill pan on the other hand is a dream pan, with a large wide surface area with plenty of room to put whatever it is you're grilling in it, the non-stock coating is a breeze to clean an the sharp edges leave the lovely grill marks on food which we are all after when we grill. Top quality construction as well. It's pricey, but once you use it, you'll never want to grill on another pan again.
I needed a new grill pan because my older one became impossible to clean without eventually scrubbing the finish off (my hubby does the dishes - he'll confirm this). I'll admit that it was probably my fault for using too high heat on my gas stove. I read the instructions with the Le Creuset very carefully and used it last night for grilling marinated skirt steak under medium heat and not only did the meat grill perfectly, but all I did was add some hot water to the pan with some dish soap afterward - et voila! No scrubbing needed (my hubby will attest to that too!)

I was very excited to receive this pan but they sent a different item completely. The item they sent was a grill pan but one with one long handle, instead of the two short ones shown. The long handle doubles the size of the pan and requires more storage space and won’t work for me. I’m sad to have to return this.
