Le Labo - The Matcha 26 EDP - 15ml

I’ve been wearing a tester of Le Labo’s Matcha for months now, and this perfume smells 99.99% like it. I wore each on opposite arms all day, the LL is a bit more peppery at first (which I love) but the AM gets to that same level of pepper about 30 mins later. Then, the AM is a bit more vanilla-matcha & the LL a bit more grassy-matcha, but without having them arm-to-arm I don’t even notice this difference. I actually like the slightly warmer scent of the AM better than the LL! Longevity of AM was about an hour more on me than LL, too (~6 hours for the AM vs 5 hours for LL). This dupe is FANTASTIC and I will definitely re-order when my bottle runs out. Highly recommend!!

This is such a yummy perfume, and one that does last, but is never too in your face. I love it so much!If, like me, you love fig perfumes but find that note can be fleeting, this Le Labo offering is pure fig, through and through, but anchored with a slight warmth and creaminess. Yet, somehow, it's still quite sweet and refreshing too.I would definitely say this leans feminine, because of that sweetness, and the note of fig as conceived here is voluptuous, and just feels and smells womanly to me.This, I hope, will go on to be a real star of the Labo house, as it's unique (I have never smelled fig done like this) and is calming, happy, and simply gorgeous to wear.

Dreamy

I sampled this on a paper strip when it first came out and finally caved and bought it. First, I’m surprised by how much I like this scent. On me it’s fig-forward with a light floral note (not white floral, which I can’t stand) and doesn’t smell anything like matcha. Overall, a delicate creamy scent that leans more feminine. There are some similarities in the dry down to Thé Noir, which I also own, but Matcha is lighter and brighter while Noir is smoky. Not too strong, which is my preference, and no weird “sharp” notes as it dries down. I will be alternating between the two Thés this fall and winter!

Favorite Perfume Ever

I was craving this scent for ages, my partner finally got it for me for Valentine’s Day this year and Jesus. It’s one of the most wonderful scents ever created. I’m actually quite surprised at the reviews- although I’m not upset that not everyone smells like this; it’s almost what keeps it even more unique.Best way to describe it is; warm, floral, sweet. Smells literally like figs and matcha combined,It’s a mature sweetness though- it’s very feminine, buttery, classy, defined, unique type of sweet. Figgy delicousness

Love love love. It's fresh, clean... the fig comes through on me but not the juicy warm fig you might find in something like Diptyque Philosykos. It doesn't smell overly of matcha, it's almost a grounding note on me. Although the brand says it's a skin scent, it actually projects quite well. It lasts about 7 hours on my skin, but the longevity on clothing is immense. Gorgeous scent!

Kinda disappointed

Tbh not what i expected. I was expecting more green tea notes (C'mon it has matcha in it's name!) and some citrus. Something more green and fresh just based on the description, but i was disappointed. Should've known with notes not even listed and only in the description. Not sure why but this scent was more floral on me, and had something pungent i really didn't like. Maybe it's the fig? Only once it dried down did i get any orange and actually smelt okay. I have samples of other perfumes with tea, vetiver, citrus as main notes and this didn't even resemble anything familiar. Kinda regret buying even the 30ml instead of the sample pack, but the sadly the sample pack was sold out at the time of my purchase. Will prob end up giving it away to family or friends.

Love this fragrance

I really like this fragrance. It's warm and creamy. Neutral and wearable for every day and season. Could be a signature scent. This was my favourite from le labo, my 2nd favourite is lys. Usually I have to have musk as a note in my perfumes but I love this. I wish cult beauty would include le labo in at least some of its promotions....otherwise great service.

Morning Matcha is not close to Matcha 26

I have a discerning nose and I found the Morning Matcha to be very different from the Matcha 26 by Le Labo. To an untrained nose, you may feel it is "close enough" but in the world of scents, this is very very different, and will be noticed. You do not want to get the comments that they know you are wearing a fake when you use Morning Matcha.I would strongly recommend that they spend some time re-evaluating the Morning Matcha. There is just too much difference and it is noticible.Thank youH

Really good job, great on dry down

Ran to Alexandria once I learned that they had an alternative inspiration to the Matcha 26, which has been my absolute favorite fragrance in the past year. The opening blast is quite different on my skin compared to the original that I have, maybe a slight overpowering from the citrus orange notes. Rather than creamy right away, it comes off strong and a little sharp. However after some time the dry down is wonderful and absolutely on point.As one of the early alternatives to matcha 26, they did a fantastic job matching. Will definitely return to pick up a second bottle after the first runs out.
