Think these are a great product. The description I feel is misleading though. I ordered two sets of these because I thought each set only contained the 14 different shapes. Was very surprised when they arrived and each set contained 408 pieces.

A Great Learning Tool for Years to come

One thing that I really like about the set is that there are several different sizes and shapes. For instance, there are five different types of triangles included. This means that we can not only show what a triangle is, but we can go more in depth and talk about right triangles, equilateral triangles, etc.Other shapes included are: Squares, circles, hexagons, rectangles, rhombuses, trapezoids, half circles, and quarter circles. There is really so much that you can do with this set! It's great for sorting and classifying by color and/or shape. My daughter likes to make pictures with the shapes and then use some of the smaller shapes to create larger shapes. It has even been helpful with my 9 year old son, in talking about fractions. Excellent Geometric Shape Set!

I like sets I can use in my homeschooling in more than one way. For instance, the Translucent Geometric Shapes from Learning Resources we've been using not just for math but for art as well! Since this set is so open ended, I've been able to utilize it to the max for educating for both my nearly 4 year old son and six year old daughter. Which means the needs of a first grader and k4 student can be completely met with the right activities. Of the 408 pieces there are 14 different shapes in 7 colors and several of the shapes come in different sizes and indifferent angles. Shapes include squares, rectangles, triangles, hexagon, trapezoid, rhombus, circle, half circle, and quarter circle. The different angles of certain pieces allow for introduction an introduction to right, obtuse, and acute angles! The shapes used as a whole can really open the door to teach about all sorts of math concepts.The shapes seem to made out of some sort of plastic. The plastic appears durable and if needing to be cleaned, it appears that no damage would come of it. The set is easily stored in the container it comes in! Major plus to not have to purchase a container separately!I've been using this set with my six year old daughter right now to teach basic fractions and the names of certain shapes. It's been a lot of fun for the kids to take different shapes and make another. I bring this set out for play quite a bit for quiet time. My kids could spend all day creating all sorts of art and patterns! I like any way to make schooling more hands on for my kids and this set totally fits the bill. I highly recommend it!

I am very happy eith the product. I do wish that more shapes would be added such as oval shapes and different sizes of rectangles would be nice. Thank you.

Great for play

So many shapes!! You definitely get a lot for your money and the possibilities are endless. We have been using them on our light table not only to learn about the shapes- their features, size, sorting... But my daughter loves to just make pictures with them which keeps her very busy!

Great for teaching basic geometry

We received the Translucent Geometric Shapes from Learning Resources. These are great for children 4 years of age and up. I think these would be a great tool to use to teach preschool children about basic shapes. They come in a variety of fun colors. They are a fun tool to help teach about basic geometry. This comes with 408 pieces. The set includes polygons, and circles. This is also a neat way to help your child understand fractions. Translucent Geometric Shapes

Product arrived as described. Container is nice to store product in, however, ended up transferring to another storage container (in order to match containers used for other inventory items).

Very good learning product for kids

Packaging was very accurate. Very colorful, and it’s so fun to make different things from different shapes. Love it
