Lightweight. Liner lock seems OK, locks tight. Blade is sharp out of the box, but it's 420 steel so don't expect super hardness, but should be easy to resharpen. It's built like a
Leatherman. Fit and finish as expected. One handed opening strictly for right handed users only. Thumb hole is not accessible with the left thumb if you are left handed.

I love the leatherman skeletool line. Their quality is unmatched. That being said this knife as a clip knife does not work well and for one reason. The bottle opener hangs on
everything and yanks the knife out of your pocket. It is only a matter of time before I lose it. Other than that it is awesome. I am considering removing the clip and having my
friend who has a machine shop cut off the bottle opener. Please do not take this as a negative for Leatherman. Its just a design flaw that I have discovered.

Yah way to small. I a couple old skeletools and one has had the blade worn, resharpened and re-profiled to within a inch of its life. I bought this for the sole purpose of
switching the blade out to my old skeletool. This was easy and works perfectly. That said. The KB gets the old blade and will likely give it away. The blade size is fine but the
knife handle itself is entirely to small. If I hold it in my hand if feels flimsy and too small. Feels like Im gonna put my index finger onto the blade. And Im not a big lanky guy
either. 59 tall so my hands are pretty average. If you have big hands buy a different knife. Perfect first knife for a adolescent first knife. And please dont get it twi... Show more

Fantastic little knife
8 August 2020
This is a fantastic little knife, it came very sharp out of the box and I haven't needed to Sharpen it. It is quite small, but I like that. Slips in the pocket and you forget it's there. Brilliant locking action, doesn't budge and the blade has no play. difficult to open one handed in one motion, but that doesn't bother me - you get the hang of it quite quick! Bottle opener on clip also works really well once you know how to use it. All in all a great sharp knife, I love it and use it almost every day. From whittling to preparing food and opening boxes - it can do it all!... Show more

Fantastic small size pocket knife.

This KBx is basically just the knife portion of Skeletool multi-tool. Hence the blade is interchangeable with Leatherman Skeletool, CX, RX, KB, Freestyle etc. It's nice'n compact, fits anywhere. The blade seems to be good quality. KBx has a portion of the blade serrated, which makes it more desirable for cutting ropes and webbings fast. I also love this Coyote Tan color, although I'm not a tactical gear nut. I'm not sure how often I would use the bottle cap opener but it's there as a part of the belt clip. One complaint is that you cannot use the hole at the end for tie cord since it interferes with the blade.... Show more

[Rewarded Review] Great EDC
21 September 2022
I really do love this tool. It made it right into the first position for my everyday carry. It fits perfectly into my right pocket without much bulk at all. It has the top 4 things that I use almost everyday: knife, pliers, screwdriver and bottle opener. That it! Don't really need anything else on a quick grab tool. If I do, I will just grab a much better tool. Speaking of this, other than the knife, the tools are really for light work. Not super reliable for consistent work. For example, the pliers are manual open and close, and fairly small. The screwdriver bits are small, so as to fit in the small storage (they can be lost easily too). The knife is great and will be used the most, which will allow for this tool to stay in my pocket over just a knife that would be ... MoreI really do love this tool. However, this knife is easy to open with one thumb flick, it locks great, and can be closed with one hand. It is also very sharp at the moment, and has a straight and serrated blade. Love it! I like the deep carry pocket clip and the a simple carabiner to attach to belt loop when using a lot. Overall, love the tool. I like the color and design. It is fairly light and holds well in the hand.... Show more

[Rewarded Review] Great EDC for anyone
8 December 2022
Been carrying this for almost a month and have found myself using it everyday. Having pliers available has been a game changer. And doing it in a lightweight package makes the Skeletool a huge win. I’ve carried a bunch of knives through my short lifetime, Spyderco, Benchmade, Kershaw, Microtech, etc. and they’ve all been great knives and I still own those knives. But the convenience of having a multi tool that weighs a little more or as much as a knife I already have, plus having a similar footprint as said knives, there’s no reason I shouldn’t carry the skeletool everyday. Now is it perfect? No. If it had a pair of reliable scissors, like the ones from Swiss Army knives, then we would be inching towards perfect. But it definitely does a lot more than only having a knife, and it does it very well. I’ve come to find that the skeletool is also very customizable. There’s a huge market that offers aftermarket modifications you can add to the tool. I’ve seen mods where you can add a hammer/pry tool to the end. And even seen guys add the aforementioned scissors. Possibilities seem endless. Should you carry it everyday in place of a knife? I don’t know, that’s up to you. But should you give a try and see how you like it? I’d say absolutely and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.... Show more

Skeletool KBx - Sublime Green
16 June 2021
Poor. I bought this to compliment my skeletool CX which I carry daily but can be a bit bulky. I’m not sure where the KBx is manufactured but the quality is very poor compared to the CX. The KBx is exceptionally light weight but felt more like a toy. The blade had a huge burr on the serrated section, making it unusable. I could have removed this but why should I? I don’t feel it’s right to receive a knife in this state. Furthermore the green colour is matte paint - I was hoping it was anodised. I can’t recommend this knife - definitely a poor product compared to most of Leatherman’s offerings. I returned the knife and received a refund.... Show more

The Best
15 February 2018
Being an old guy at 76 i have had lots of pocket knives. Cannot go without one. And finally found one that is perfect. In fact I ordered another one to make sure I would have the same if would happen to lose the first. Although I am pretty protective of it. Very sharp holds, edge and is cool looking and work awesome. I have another leather man mini multi tool also and always have it in the other pocket for about anything that comes along, fixing screws in glasses, to cutting strings , filing nails and tons of other small jobs. The Skeletool is the coolest looking knife also!! Good job Leatherman!! Thanks... Show more

Where looks and function meet

I really like this knife for what it was meant to do. It is light weight and (I think) very good looking. I have to rate it 4 stars because mine came missing the pocket clip.I was really annoyed as this is a pretty big quality control mistake and almost sent it back but instead I decided to keep it and I am quite happy that I did. I put this on my key chain where it weighs next to nothing and is a a great light weight but very handy utility blade. I have been carrying it on my person for over 6 months now so here are my thoughts:Pros: Although light weight, it seems to be quite durable. Very handy but at the same time people friendlyCons: a few quality control issues such as a the missing pocket clip and very bad factory edge that was the sloppiest of any knife ... MoreI really like this knife for what it was meant to do.
