The torch is great; bright and lightweight. Biggest issue is the focus ring which slips back slightly from its extreme positions. This means that you lose a bit of the wide angle, and a bit of the tight focus of the beam. This is not as good as the original push-pull focusing mechanism on the older LED lensers, which is a great pity. I have the same problem on my other Advanced Focus Mechanism torch the H7R Signature. This is disappointing given the price of the unit and the hype LED lenser puts around the new focus system, but it doesn't affect the utility of the torch for me.

Best torch ever.

I have purchased many torches over the years, not all cheap, but was unsure if this was worth the price; tried it for two-weeks and, it is. Compact, bright, and great battery life. I also love the mode switching which enables me to set the torch to low power, then switch it on and off without cycling through the high-medium-low settings. Worth the price and comes with its own carry case, magnetic charger which is compatible with other Led lenser torches, and a charging base

Bright idea

I’ve had an older led lender for 12 years and decided to upgrade to the p7r signature .Love the button at the front with battery status and is easier to charge than my old one . There’s more features than the old one and still has the same build quality that you’d expect in a led lender torch even after hearing a few complaints about the beam pattern on spot compared to the older models I personally like the new pattern .Overall a great camping /general purpose torch on the high end of build and functionality.

Good good, but bad

It’s a great light for the home or camping. However, for tactical or work use it’s operation is very fickle. The collar switch gets in the way when you get it out of the oversized sheath. The on/off button is small, and hard to locate at night or in a hurry. It desperately needs an end cap switch.

Great torch for law enforcement

As a police officer I need a reliable bright torch for my duties that can be carried easily on me. The led lenser P7R signature is very bright in a small package and being rechargeable is great. It is one of the few torches I found that was adjustable for spot and flood! Very impressed with this torch.

Lovely little flashlight

The flashlight is very nicely made and sits nicely in the hand. It’s not quite as bright as I expected but it does light up a nice area where you can see very clearly. The beam throw is not all that big so if you are looking for a searchlight type of flashlight, this is not the one for you. A really nice every day light.

Oh what a beauty!

Love this torch. I have been a LED Lenser customer for many years and had one of the D Cell massive torches in my truck for many lens. I got sick of batteries and found this replacement. Oh what a beauty. So much lighter and yet more functional and powerful than my old one.

Terrible torch

This was my first LedLenser and it will be my last based on a myriad of problems. They use a proprietary magnetic charger which means the torch is useless if it goes flat when you don't have the charger. Then, the mount won't work unless you fix the magnetic charger to it. But most importantly, it just doesn't work as a torch. It is Russian Roulette as to what flashing light sequence turns on when you press the on button and then it won't turn off. The instructions are woefully inadequate it has a huge amount of unnecessary customisation for what should be a simple torch. The guys designing these features need to re-watch Jurassic Park. They spent 'so much time figuring out if the could, they didn't stop to work out whether they should. Time will tell

Brought this torch two weeks ago from BCF Midland.Staff were great and the stock range superb.Even better as they price matched a much lower price.However I love the quality of this torch but the range at the highest brightness on the narrow beam which supposedly is 330 mtrs has me guessing.Barely lights up a gumtree at 150 mtrs with the torch fully charged.These are early day and I hope I can prove my estimations wrong.I always wanted an Led Lenser and so far happy with the construction and quality, yet feel let down by the specifications.Time will tell

disappointing performance

I love LED Lenser torches and have purchased numerous over the years for myself and my team. Unfortunately the quality seems to be reducing over time. The lumens are great and absolutely what we required for inspections of assets, however after only a short amount of time the torch is so hot it is uncomfortable to hold and probably not really safe to hold at this temperature. I am all for compact torches with good battery life and lumens, however this one has lost the quality from the MT14 previously. The battery just gets way too hot. I am not expecting these torches to last too longer with the overheating problems and i will need to find an alternative for my inspectors as well. Snowy's as a company though is fantastic to deal with and delivery was good, this is simply a poor product, especially due to the cost of the torch. I would love to hear from Snowy's about an equivalent torch to the MT14.
