I have used this on my newly refurbished home office and placed it on the edge of the desk facing the wall. I have to say that Hue are leaders in smart lighting and I can see why. It's a very simple item and I really cannot justify paying so much money for a light strip that changes colour on demand!

Connected it to the Bridge. Apps is brilliant. Colours are good. Loads of setting available on the app. I have it under the TV currently. Might try the HDMI hub....

This is a great addition to any smart home. We've installed this light strip under our breakfast bar and it provides substantial illumination that is highly customisable. After a few minutes of set up with the Philips hue bridge we were able to create timed routines and different scenes with ease. The only thing that I could see being an issue is the extension kits that look quite costly.

Great fun product. We've used in conjunction with an extension kit to wrap around her metal bed frame. The only challenge with this is the cable only moves up and down vertically, no left and right horizontally as well as - so not very flexible if you want to turn a 45 degree angle! But despite that it looks fantastic and she loves changing the colours! It's bright enough to use as a lamp and working well with the app as an alarm to water her in the morning.
We have installed this lightstrip around our new fireplace and it looks great. Whilst I was a bit apprehensive about fitting this lighting, due to my lack of technical knowledge, it was surprisingly easy to fit and connect via the bridge.I have managed to synchronise it with Alexa and the children enjoy being able to control it in this way.We have previously fitted a more economy light strip in my daughter's bedroom, but this is a clear step up in quality.I'm now looking forward to adding more products from the hue range to our system
Item easily connected to my existing lighting strip. The pins are delicate but easy to slot together and join. Still doesn't have great adhesive power. I was hoping Philips may have improved this. Ended up using my own 3M tape to get this to stick well enough. Great colour range. Lighting is just as bright as the original strip. You wouldn't know there was an extension strip in my lighting. It's great if you need longer than the basic length sold.
So the product is first class and I love Phillips hue. However, the set up was difficult. I managed to get the bridge connected to the Wi-Fi relatively easily but couldn't connect the lights. Read the instructions multiple times and eventually sought help from the younger more tech savvy generation! Once all was working, the app is very easy to understand and programme different lightning effects. I have had other, cheaper LED strips in the past and the difference in quality is really evident with this product.I've placed mine behind the TV to achieve the cinema feeling of a back glow and it looks amazing!
Don't get if it is in eye sight, as it doesn't have a diffuser. so each LED is visible, and can be seen , need to be invisible and reflected onto a wall.It also is terrible with the Philips Play sync as it doesn't use the gradient feature and just has 3 zones which have the set colour, which is very disappointing for the price
I bought this product 3 months ago to add some comforting touch to my sons room as he felt plain white lights were boring and these lights were the best thing i bought. excellent quality and worth the price
My husband set this up in my daughters room around a metal frame bed. Very easy to link to the starter kit! Looks brilliant in her room! We use in conjunction with Alexa - to come on as an alarm, but she can also turn on whenever she likes as a lamp!
