Lee Men's Modern Series Extreme Motion Straight Fit Tapered Leg Jean

(1,701 reviews)

Denim fashion is always in motion and has been from its earliest days. One of the big transition points was from the tight-fit styles of the '80s into the baggy-fit styles that stormed the '90s. For men trying to find a mid-point between those evolving modern styles, straight-fit jeans with tapered legs became a go-to option. They provided a relaxed but still neat look that wasn't part of any particular trend: the appeal was that they provided functional comfort while still looking smart. That appeal hasn't changed, but the specifics of the cut and fit have evolved into the Extreme Motion straight fit. Just like the established straight fit and tapered style that came about in contrast to extremely tight, flared or baggy styles in the decades of yore, Lee Extreme Motion straight fit tapered leg jeans combine fun with style. They maximize your range of motion and make it easy to take part in your favorite activities — whether playing with your kids or jumping, running and somersaulting — without needing to change clothes. Just as importantly, this contribution to the Lee men's straight fit jeans line remains evergreen in style terms. The clean look and cut of straight-fit, tapered jeans appear stylish in pretty much any context, and that means the Extreme Motion straight fit makes sense for just about any occasion where denim is appropriate. You can wear them with full confidence that you'll look amazing no matter your age bracket or the specifics of the venue. Lightweight Denim: 97% Cotton/ 3% Spandex, 8 oz. Cougar. 40 W / 30 L.

The product was great. Finally a jean that fit me and had stretch that didn't make them look cheap. I love that it's also a recognizable brand that isn't just a "big guy" brand. I
actually wear the same brand cargo shorts all summer long too. I found out that DXL will no linger be carrying that style jean and am saddened by this.

I use these pants for work. The versatility of these jeans also makes it possible to run my daily errands before and/or after work and still feel like I make fashionable sense.
The only downside the jeans is after wash/dry cycle the back pockets fold out and downwards. It helps somewhat to try to crease them inward, but until my wallet slips in it
sort of flairs out and down.

Old enough to remember (62) when jeans were comfortable and well made. These pants remind me of those good old days when every jean company took pride in their
product. It didn't really matter the brand, you knew you were getting high quality. Now of course that's gone completely with the other "L" brand. Glad I decided to give these
Lee's a chance. They are exactly what I was looking for.

Comfortable, but also disappointing
8 March 2024
I guess "jeans" are not what they used to be. The pattern is the same, but the fabric is thinner and doesn't feel like classic denim. When I removed these jeans from the package, immediately I noticed that the edges of the back pockets were both turned down along the stitching. Laundering made no improvement to that, and then the edges of both cuffs behaved similarly. These jeans look ridiculous without ironing. Having 1 pair of soft jeans will be acceptable for some occasions, but I certainly don't want any more like this.A minor pet peeve: The classic Lee "tag / extra belt loop' is stitched down on its entire perimeter, so now it's just a logo that that gets covered up with a belt.... Disappointed
13 March 2024
I've used the extreme motion jeans for work since they came out. I recently purchased three pairs of 33-30 straight taper jeans and was extremely disappointed to find that instead of the usual 7 belt loops there were only 5. This makes a huge difference when twisting and turning and bending up and down. Can't believe there is that much cost savings in omitting 2 belt loops. I guess i will just wear them to church and shop different brands that are more suited for actual work.... Show more

High volume motion approved
28 January 2024
Got these for my husband for work. His other jeans (Levi’s) just kept getting so worn out so quickly with the type of job he performs AND ACTUALLY I didn’t even realize these were made of a slightly stretch material made for high volume type movements and he loves them. I just wish they were slightly more tapered at the ankles but either way definitely worth the buy if your want some comfy durable work jeans !... Show more

I would not buy this again
18 October 2023
The scotch grey jeans arrived with holes/tears in both knees. This was NOT in the description or pictures on line when I made the purchase. I want to return / exchange them for another pair of the same color WITH OUT HOLES IN THE KNEES. I contacted C.S> and I was told there is a $7.99 processing fee plus I have to pay shipping.Absolutely ridiculous when they shipping defective goods and/or their description did NOT mention these had holes/tears in the knees... Nice Fit! Lee Jeans always seemed to fit me the best of all brands.
21 October 2021
I lost some weight over the past couple years, and got tired of my jeans always slipping down. I suffer from the noassatall condition. LOL! These Extreme Motion jeans are stretchable. I like the stretch in the waist...as I still have just a little bit of "gut" that I can't seem to get rid of, but I have to buy pants that actually fit my hips or they won't stay up with a tight belt. These EM jeans are quite comfortable. Two minor problems...being stretchable, they will slide down a little at times, and also, I'm not a fan of the back pocket being made of the stretchable material. When I put my wallet in, it doesn't seem nearly as secure as in a standard pair of jeans made of normal denim. But, aside from that, I really like these jeans. I've bought several pair. Quality Jeans with Stretch Comfort
20 April 2023
Since my favorite Lee jeans, the Performance Flex, are no longer available, this is my first try of the Extreme Motion jeans. Overall good jeans but I prefer the regular fit to the straight fit so it makes them feel a bit tight. However, they have good stretch which improves comfort. I'm hoping they will loosen up a bit more after a few wears and washes. I plan to try the traditional style jeans next and see if they might be closer to my Performance Flex.... Show more

REALLY PLEASED with the LEE jeans
13 September 2023
I was looking for some jeans that were truly dark BLUE jeans and found these Lees. The color is called RINSE and just what I wanted. The sizing is correct. I have 36W and they fit perfect. Lots of good leg room. Very comfortable. They call it the EXTREME MOTION - fits well. The material is different in a way - if you grabbed your pant leg and pulled it "kinda stretches" but then flexes back... in a good way. Hard to really describe.... Show more
