Lefranc & Bourgeois' Flashe is a vinyl paint and a modern alternative to traditional acrylic or oil paints. It is highly flexible and has a fluid texture with intense pigments. Lefranc & Bourgeois' Flashe Paint dries evenly with intense coverage to a uniform and a beautifully velvety matte, opaque finish. Due to the opaque nature of the paint, colours can be layered on top of each other with ease and are also intermixable. The highly pigmented colour may be diluted with water to create a range of results, from highly opaque to a transparent watercolor effect and is fast drying. Use indoors or outdoors on a variety of surfaces from canvas, paper, brick, wood, metal or plastic. Can be applied to surface with brushes, paint guns, or sponges. The supple film offers good adherence and resistance to weather and is ideal for fresco and wall painting, faux finishes, theatre decorations, and more. Lefranc & Bourgeois' Flashe Paint has a high coverage - 200ml covers 6m2 vs 1 Litre of most acrylic paints. Due to its unique qualities Lefranc & Bourgeois' Flashe Paint is loved by artists, designers (who want a matte finish), illustrators and decorators.

Amazing Product

I used the metallic silver to update worn gold-coloured metal door hinges. Pleased with the result. Paint flows on with good coverage and goes a l-o-n-g way. Lots left to use for other projects. Fast drying. Rinsed my art brush under cool running water to clean - brush ready to use again- doesn’t get any better than this.

The artist paint is good. Also, if you mix Fluorescent Orange with Fluorescent Pink (each with excellent Lightfastness properties) you will have a Fluorescent Red which will have an excellent Lightfastness property. Plus, if you want a non-Fluorescent Red, use Vermilion Red. #sweepstakes

I NEED MORE!!!

I have been a painter for a long time, both in oils and watercolors. I wanted a quick-drying paint with oil properties and truer mixability than acrylics and with a matte finish rather than acrylic that needs a matte medium to tone down the shine. These paints fit that bill perfectly, and can be diluted to create more transparent watercolor effects. They clean up easily with water! I have not tried varnish on them, since my needs at the moment are on textile and not outdoor creations. I love them, and will be ordering more colors in the full sizes soon. #sweepstakes just because winning could allow me to buy the entire color range!!! LOL

I probably would not buy this again.

I have bought the Flashe Vinyl paint in the softer pinks and like them very much. They are much more opaque than the red violet. I'm not as crazy about the more transparent colors. It says high covering power but it's not so much.

I would buy again. Some issues, however.

I like this paint. I mostly used it for painting vinyl toys, although I can imagine using it like acrylic... Some colors are less opaque than others so you really have to mix them. I had several in tightly closed jars go cottage cheese on me, so in the future, I will purchase smaller amounts that can be used. I've only had a few brands spoil like that in my lifetime: Jo Sonja, Liquitex, Speedball (acrylic) and these... Polycolor is also worth checking out.

It is my first time purchasing this brand of acrylic paint. I did some research on their formula and I liked that the paints are matte (or flat), opaque with good coverage and lightfast. They also offer some convenience mixes that looked intriguing and very attractive to me. This Japanese Yellow is brilliant, warm in hue, semi opaque and has good coverage. I didn't get the chance to use it in an actual project, I only swatched it for my reference. I plan to use it in any and all of my art projects, be them acrylic paintings, gelatin monoprinting, or mixed media paintings.#sweepstakes

Received a previously opened/used jar
15 January 2023

This one jar was shipped separate from the rest of my order and from a different location. The jar had already been opened (it was obvious as I had to get my husband to open the others as the seal was tight on those). He said to me this has been opened. And when we looked inside, the paint was lumpy and much dryer than the other Flashe paints I had received. Returned this one.

I was looking for a strong " in your face", luminous, opaque orange for quite some time now and this orange mix got my attention. It might not be the most lightfast paint out there, but I hope a topcoat with UVLS varnish would fill in the gaps made by the weak red pigment used in the mix. 23 January 2024

Even though I work mainly in acrylics and mixed media, I am new to this particular brand of acrylics. I recently purchased a few tubes of paint, just out of curiosity, being attracted by the some of the attributes that these paints offer: matte finish, opacity, coverage and pigment mixtures. This Gray Green is a convenience mixture that is intriguing to me. I believe that it would be very hard for me to exactly replicate its cool tint every time I would need it in my projects, hence my purchase. I would like also to experiment using it in mono prints done with a gelli plate. So far, it delivered everything promised in the product description and I like it very much.#sweepstakes
