This game is pretty much the same as the N64 version, which is a good thing as it was a very enjoyable game. There are, however, a few changes which gives a different gameplay experience; one example are the truth stones that now offer hints or the fact that you can replay boss battles after completing them. Many lights and many structures are more in-depth and offer more aesthetics compared to the old game. I am glad to have bought this product, even if you have played the older version of the game this still offers a different experience through the use of changes in the mechanics during gameplay and through the addition of other mechanics, that I will not spoil in the review. If you want this game, buy it, you will not regret it.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is, hands down, my favorite video game of all time. I know that that is a statement that is beyond cliché at this point, but, from the bottom of my heart, it really is true. When I first played this game at the age of ten, after having borrowed a friends Nintendo 64, I fell in love with it at first sight. To this day, very, very few games have even come close to this game in my eyes. It wasn't until later that I finally got my own copy, but I was obsessed with the game from start to finish. I remember playing the game while my sister read from the strategy guide, and even getting my dad into it (he made it as far as the shadow temple.) Simply put, this game holds an insurmountable amount of memories. Hearing the beautiful music ... MoreThe Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is, hands down, my favorite video game of all time. Hearing the beautiful music again always brings a tear to my eye, so you can imagine by now how special this video game is in my heart. When I first heard that there was going to be a 3DS remaster of Ocarina of Time, I was very excited. I held off buying a 3DS for a few years, but, eventually picked one up. It has taken me forever to work up the courage and discipline to write a review for this game, but now is the time to do it. I will tell you, right off the bat, that this version is, without a doubt, the definitive version of Ocarina of Time. Aside from just looking better than ever, the modest tweaks here and there make this game shine more than it has in years. I will warn you that this will be a lengthy, in depth review. Wi.

This Legend of Zelda game was my favorite game to play growing up. I got the original game on my Nintendo 64 with I was a kid and played it several times. In the game, you play Link, a young boy who sets off on an adventure to save Princess Zelda. There are several dungeons/temples you play through, where you solve puzzles and fight enemies. Each dungeon/temple has its own unique style (water, fire, etc) that make the game interesting.I bought this game to use on my Nintendo 2DS to relive my childhood, and it did not disappoint! This version of the game has improved graphics that bring the game up to today's standards. It is a lot of fun being able to take the game on the go. I have played it a few different times on planes and buses on the go.If you're looking for ... MoreThis Legend of Zelda game was my favorite game to play growing up. Ocarina of Time is my first experience with a Legend of Zelda game and it has made me a fan already! This is simply the best game I’ve ever seen for a portable gaming device. The graphics are breathtakingly beautiful with a perfect 3D effect. The story and characters are magical and intriguing. There is also so much to do in this game, both main quests and side quests, that I find myself playing for hours without ever getting bored. It is challenging enough without being ridiculously hard. I do find myself checking an online guide occasionally, mostly for getting all the extras and finding the hidden secrets. The game allows you to explore freely, so you can always go back to get what you missed and you can spend as long as you want completing the main quest. ... MoreOcarina of Time is my first experience with a Legend of Zelda game and it has made me a fan already! It’s the perfect balance of serious gameplay and relaxing exploration. I highly recommend this game to everyone. I am almost finished and I find myself trying to postpone the final chapter because I just don’t want it to end!
As someone who still has his Nintendo 64 and this game, I've found it less and less pleasant to play this as time has gone on. Even keeping a CRT in my basement for retro gaming, the 64 just doesn't hold up as well as and it's sad watching games I love become more and more unplayable relative to modern gaming. I picked this remake up among a pile of games for my (new) New 3DS XL and quickly found myself abandoning several other half-finished games (looking at you, Samus Returns) in favor of playing this to completion. Like an old house that's still in great functional shape, sometimes all you need is a fresh coat of paint, and that's exactly what this game delivers. The underlying mechanics of Ocarina of Time are still a blast and being able to short portable spurts ... MoreAs someone who still has his Nintendo 64 and this game, I've found it less and less pleasant to play this as time has gone on. Like an old house that's still in great functional shape, sometimes all you need is a fresh coat of paint, and that's exactly what this game delivers. The underlying mechanics of Ocarina of Time are still a blast and being able to short portable spurts suits this game well, especially considering how small the game now feels compared to when it launched in 1998. Graphics aside, a few small tweaks have been made to modernize the experience but my only gripe with this is the update they DIDN'T include. I would have much appreciated it if the developers had removed the old system where your location is reset every time you boot up the game. Granted, as you progress, you learn song that warp you to the general area you want to go, but that still result in some time wasted when a modern portable game should reload you at the last doorway you went through, or some other streamlined system. Still, a small gripe. The game felt great and controlled smoothly. The graphica.
So the game is as described, my only complaint revolves around the game itself, not the seller. \n\nThe game is programmed to recognize you are female and not that you are a Zora. Whomever made the rom could have benefited from the coding of the Zoras mask from Majora's mask or explain somehow that your fins don't work properly or you don't have gills working for some reason to explain why you need the Zora tunic.\n\nLike the Deku tree sapling says you are a Hylian not a kokri instead of Zora not a kokri. Like if you're going to go out of your way to change the dialogue to make sense, then make it make sense. Otherwise, what's the point.
Absolutely brilliant! I for one have been a big fan of Zelda growing up and Ocarina of time has always been a timeless classic for me. I have fond memories of running across Hyrule field to jump on the drawbridge before the sun goes down! From the N64 to the GameCube this game is fantastic. Then, enter the 3DS version of the game... how have I only just purchased this game?? Absolutely brilliant port to the DS console the graphics have been upped quite a bit, Link and the other characters look fantastic and the use of the touch controls adds another element to the already addictive gameplay. I cannot comment too much on the 3D aspect as I choose not to play my games using it, having said that however, when I did turn it on it looked amazing and probably one of the ... MoreAbsolutely brilliant! Despite alot of controversial reviews ive read, i decided to take a try myself to see the quality of what a "cosmetically flawed" cartridge would be. As other videos i seen had some few tares, i was surprised to see what looks like my cartridge (or just the labels) was dipped in acid. I was a little sad it looked that bad but i was only concerned with the game playing, which after the 3rd or 4th attempt to getting it running it finally did. Thought i was given an untested game after i took it out and turned on my console multiple times. There are no complaints on my end from the designs on the cartridge as i knew it would be a little damaged, but the game not working took me back a bit. Glad i got it to work. I want to add a bit of constructive criticism and say it ... MoreDespite alot of controversial reviews ive read, i decided to take a try myself to see the quality of what a "cosmetically flawed" cartridge would be. I want to add a bit of constructive criticism and say it would be a huge benefit to your customers shopping the cosmetically flawed sections if they had a choice on how specifically flawed it would be or even have pictures of every flawed one you have to be able to choose, which would obviously be alot of work so the first one might be more practical.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is an absolute classic that set the bar for adventure games. Its immersive world, innovative gameplay, and timeless story make it a landmark in gaming history. From riding Epona across Hyrule Field to solving intricate puzzles in temples, the games blend of exploration, combat, and storytelling is unmatched. The music, the characters, and the emotional weight of Links journey all contribute to a rich, unforgettable experience. Its a must-play
