We bought this and set 10882 for my grandchild's 3rd birthday - already had box 10847 and we thought the 2 would be a great next step - they do not work together! How stupid is Duplo/Lego for making 2 different train sets. How many children need 2 different train sets? How many children are disappointed to find their train does not work on these tracks? How many children have parents who can simply go out and buy more trains that do work on gifts received?

We have the numbers train, Mickey and Minnie's birthday parade train, this set of bridge tracks and another set of flat tracks. Unfortunately there is a raised lip on the outer edges of the bridge tracks that are a bit too narrow to allow the train's wheels to sit fully within the tracks. This often causes the train to derail as it transitions off the bridge. It caused my toddlers a lot of frustration at first but now they don't mind as much and just put the train back on the tracks. The price is definitely too high for so few pieces and such an annoying design flaw.

Unfortunately there is a raised lip on the outer edges of the bridge tracks that are a bit too narrow to allow the train's wheels to sit fully within the tracks. This often causes the train to derail as it transitions off the bridge. It caused my toddlers a lot of frustration at first but now they don't mind as much and just put the train back on the tracks. The price is definitely too high for so few pieces and such an annoying design flaw.
I bought my grandson the train set for Xmas and I’ve just bought the bridge and extra tracks for his birthday. He’s 3 years old and loves it, he’ll play with it for hours. These are a great addition to his set and money well spent.
This is a good pack of tracks to supplement your current Duplo train set(s). There are 8 straights and no curves! This is great considering there are already a lot of curves in train sets. My kids personally have too many curves. The bridge works well and is usually found in larger, more expensive sets.Note: the color-coded action brick will only work for Push & Go locomotives found in sets 10874 & 10875.
This is a necessary addition to the Duplo train set. My nearly 3 year old son loves seeing the train go over the bridge. Makes the set more exciting.
This beidge is awesome. I gave these and 2 other train sets to each of my 3 grandsons. They have the switch train accesories and one other set with the train that is 2 years old. Not the newest train. These trains that are 2 years old do NOT activate the special "sound" part pf the bridge. That os really why this bridge gets a 4 star not a 5 . The bridge should say that. On another note the brisge with the other 2 sets makes a huge size diatance for the trains to travel. It adds many more options of configuration of track.
My son really likes pushing his numbers train around on Duplo tracks, so I thought he would like an expansion set for the basic set of tracks he already has. I knew that the "action piece" from this set wouldn't do anything with a simpler train, but I didn't realize that the train literally would not fit on the tracks. It's really frustrating that there are no track expansion sets available to push a non-motorized train around on, which kids love to do! I guess I will switch from DUPLO to a wooden BRIO-style track system. Not sure why Lego has chosen to make their train system have so many compatibility issues. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this kit or even the DUPLO train system more generally speaking.
Such a delight watching my grandson and son construct and create a Duplo Village.The quality of this construction set , down to the finest detail, is superb and should last generations , unlike so many other toys on the market. I love that its an educational toy
Terribly disappointed. Dies not work with other lego sets for train. Train doesn't fit track. This set is worthless.
