I bought this to display and it definitely does not disappoint. The number of minute cultural sites crammed into a single skyline build is amazing and brings back all the memories of travel around the capital of the Land of the Rising Sun. While somewhat challenging, it still proves ample fun to build, and even uses multiple different build techniques. I recommend this piece for every serious Lego collector and everyone who loves Japan and wants a unique way to immortalise that passion.

I love this set. It is so fun and detailed, bringing a great amount of colors, wonderful buildings and techniques used, and excitement whenever I look at it. I thoroughly enjoyed the build, and I am very happy with the standard no-stickers within the architecture line. Though pagoda and gate behind the two cherry blossom trees are not named, I feel they add more detail and interest than trying to make them fully-fledged; they add to the display without taking away from the other pieces. The set is fun to look at I feel (though I have never been to Tokyo, and may be speaking out of turn) that the set is very representative of Tokyo.

As someone who has visited Japan, speaks the language, and is a fan of most things Japanese, I immediately picked up this set and it doesn't disappoint. I love all the little details from the neon lights of Shibuya crossing, to the Sensoji temple, and even the brand new Tokyo Sky Tree! So many unique pieces and colors, which might make it a bit challenging for younger fans of LEGO (especially all of the different colors for Shibuya crossing), but honestly this would make a wonderful display piece for anyone. And for anyone who doesn't know what the various landmarks are, the build guide actually explains them all. Highly recommended!

Just like the other cities on offer from Lego, there are a superb representation of themself and the instruction manuals offer a brief and general overview of each attraction and landmark once youve built it. Great to build. Love them.
As the title says, overall I really like this set. Tokyo Tower and Mt. Fuji in the background are very well done. I also love the cherry blossom trees. My one complaint is with the Skytree. The white beams that are pictured are rubber and can bend pretty easily. Tow of the ones I received had a bend in them so I put them in back. Also, the top of the beams don't attache to anything, they just sit inside the cone at the top. Between that and then bending, it makes it very hard to achieve a nice uniform look. This part of the model could have been done better.Overall I'm still glad I purchased it.
As an adult, other than enjoyment, I buy lego that I can display. The Architecture sets are a little difficult in that the heights and widths can be awkward but I have a plan with custom corner shelfing to display these together.Tokyo was my favorite build love all the vibrant colors and little aesthically pleasing pieces
Deceptively simple as a project. Colorful, and representative of the city. My 8 and 9 year old grandchildren managed to build it on their own. This was built as a memento for their Paralympian father who competed in Tokyo! $30-35 would have been a better price point.
So I bought this as I am a big fan of the Architecture range. This one stood out to me from the get go. I think it’s the colours maybe? I think it’s definitely better to look at then the others currently available New York, London , Dubai. London and New York being quite bland (do still like them). I enjoyed building this and learning about the structures as you do from the instructions. Not sure how long this will be around for so would defo recommend you picking it up sooner rather then later! Highly recommend
I absolutely love this addition to the collection. It's by far one of the most unique, detailed, and eye-catching. It's especially overdue since Tokyo hasn't had any attention in the 10+ years of Lego Architecture. All the details are great: the Tokyo Tower, the cherry blossoms, the pagoda, and of course Mt. Fuji in the background. The only complaint that I have is that the antenna - from the base - of the Tokyo Tower falls off very easy. I've double-checked my build and can't find anything I'm missing. Just seems like a flimsy design, but it's good it breaks off in a large chunk so it won't get lost.Overall great set and I'm really excited to see what other great skylines Lego comes up with next.
The set is awesome! Many famous builds of the tokyo city built with nice details but, The set is kind of crammed. Other than that, everything is awesome! Definitely recommending.
