My kiddo LOOOVES these sets. They've built most of the LEGO minecraft sets so far, quite a few of which have survived their bored scavenging for parts for their personal creations as shelf decorations, so that's pretty high praise for a fickle 11yr old. Watch your step though. No matter how well you pick up it seems there are more and, well, stepping on one... ouch.

Lego is always wonderful. Building with LEGO bricks promotes spatial thinking and an awareness of proportions and patterns. When a child builds, his mind uses reasoning about which pieces will work best, how they should be arranged, and how big or small the creation should be. Basic LEGO bricks also teach fractions and division. From whole to half and even smaller parts, kids are learning fractions without even realizing it. Physics and engineering skills are also sneakily being developed. When a child builds a tall building or bridge he or she is learning to think in three dimensions, weight, balance and usage supports for these structures must be thought about. In more complex models, children can even learn notions of mechatronics and mechanics. When a child ... MoreLego is always wonderful. easy to build and fun for kids to play with. i would definitely get this for my kids in the future. i would definitely recommend buying this for your kids, grandchildren, niece, nephew or any child. i wouldn’t recommend buying this for younger children since it has little pieces that are easy to swallow and choke on but otherwise its really good.

I will review this set under the following categories: Minifigures/Buildable Figures, Playability, Design, Value and Overall Opinion. Let's get to it :D.Minifigures/Buildable Figures: Time to fly through this! For Steve, despite my bias for not agreeing that he should be in every set, LEGO has listened to their fans and has begun placing more custom skin minifigures in their LEGO Minecraft sets which is absolutely great for variety. For this Steve he is spiced up with some gold leggings and a gold sword. For the skeleton however I have no problem with it, they have always been massable and getting one here is great! The untamed wolf is an excellent new wolf type to get exclusively to this set with the new face print and the dark stone grey collar. Everything is great here except for the fox build. When comparing the fox on the box art and the fox in the LEGO set it retains the cat/ocelot mold and gives it a more cat look which shouldn't be that way. it's snout area should be wrapped around the head, it's ears must be slightly larger, facing towards where the fox is looking and it's eyes should be wrapped around it's head. I hope LEGO can either take this into account and fix it on the spot or hopefully in a future set can be fixed up. I love however the tail design as it can be animated in a way where it can swivel side to side and up and down just like in game so props to LEGO for that design. Overall minifigure selection is excellent as well as variety. The fox needs to be fixed however.Playability: The play-feature consists of another TNT explosion which I am completely okay with as it is well integrated and hidden into the set which is great! The berry bushes can be pulled and held by Steve as they use a new flower stem piece with a pole connection in which he can feed the fox and tame it (hopefully, they are very fast!) This set also comes with one of the lit-on-fire pieces which is an excellent mold to get in such a cheap set which a skeleton can be placed into the fire-piece and the builder can imagine it burning it up. This LEGO Minecraft set also comes with 2 2x4 jumpers with is excellent with connecting it with other LEGO Minecraft sets. Now since it IS LEGO Minecraft there should be removable mineable blocks to obtain however I am not complaining here, you can mine out the stone block but that is it. This is a small and cheap set that can't necessarily carry that play feature over so that is understandable. Overall excellent playability here!Design: Besides the fox figure, the terrain design is very nice hiding the TNT play-feature, getting 2 6x6 sand green plates is always a great color to get in that part. The stone with the snow on top can easily allow you to easily slide it in with other snow sets. Excellent design.Value: This is a cheap set and while $10 for 74 pieces is no great price, here it is considerably understandable. It is a cheap $10 set and cheap $10 sets can be under 90 pieces. This is a small cheap set that already has enough value within it to be understandably $10 dollars and I have absolutely no problem with the value of this set.My opinion tells me that yes: This set is excellent for everyone! Those who want a small Minecraft sets with some iconic characters and a small build? Those who want to build a whole Skeleton Army? Those who want to build a huge Taiga biome area? This set is for you! This set is absolutely worth $10 for everything that is given here albeit the fox having that cat mold bugging many. I recommend this set to LEGO Fans, Minecraft Fans or both all together!Final score: (5/5) Take care everyone and have a wonderful day :D
I enjoy cheap splurge sets like this. I'm glad they included 4 "figures" for 10. Good value. For kids who like minecraft this set is perfect. Not complex and identifiable figures. I'm glad this exists for them. For adults this set is awesome too. Steve at least comes with gold pants, which is appreciated variety. The fox is...not perfect but at least it is different and a new figure instead of yet another skeleton. Speaking of which, the skeleton is here. Massable, so not too annoying. I love the berry bushes and that they give the new fire element which will be great for MOCs. The 2x4 jumper is odd, but might be useful.I'd love it if Lego made the skeletons legs have boots as they often do in game. Lego's are such creative toys. My grandson is 6 years old. He is normally a very active boy and is doing 10 things at once. When he builds these things with Lego's he is so focused. He will build these things for hours. Take them apart and start all over. Great imaginative toys.
This small set is one of the most fantastic Minecraft sets I bought this year. When I first bought it I had thought nothing of it but once I got it built I was blow away by it. The fact that it comes with four characters to play with along with a small amount of terrain is quite awesome. The fact that this set is so cheap as well makes it even more of a great purchase. I my self have bought three of these sets, two for my self and one as a Christmas present to a friend. I bought the second one after I had fallen in love with the first one and wanted to increase my taiga biome area and get more of the excellent characters. If I ever see any more of these in stock I will most defiantly be making a purchase. I would HIGHLY recommend this set to a friend!
On the one hand, I appreciated the quick shipping. On the other hand, I bought this as a gift, and it was shipped in a non-padded plastic envelope, so the box was completely crushed. I haven’t even looked to see if the pieces are also crushed because I can’t give this as a gift like this. I’m all for not using so many boxes, but it was not a smart choice to ship something like this in this type of packaging and with no padding at all.If you don’t mind the package of a gift being crushed, then this is probably okay for you.
Really nice set. I cannot say it is the best Minecraft set thus far, but it is a nice set. All of the figures are good. We'll go over them now:Steve: overall a solid minfigure. Neat that he has the golden legs. Same figure since 2014 though... I feel that Steve needs some dual-molded arms!Skeleton: like Steve, same figure since 2014. Not a bad thing though, as this Skeleton looks awesome as always! The addition of the fire piece to show him burning as it is day time (or, maybe Steve's sword has Fire Aspect?) is really great.Wolf: not totally sure if the wolf is supposed to be a tame wolf or a wild one, but it looks pretty good. Same build as the other ones as far as I can tell, but new printing for the face.Fox: the first-ever LEGO Minecraft fox, and it ... MoreReally nice set. My only problem with it is that it reuses the cat/ocelot head piece, and the eye-printing does not wrap around to the sides of the head. Hopefully the fox can come in a future set with a proper head-mold.The set: overall, this set is a good display piece. It includes Sweet Berries and a TNT explode function, which are neat. Here are the pros and cons of the set:Pros:A two-by-four jumper? Awesome! Even more awesome? There are two of them!Fire for SkeletonSweet Berries! Clever use of the new flower piece in red and the old one in green for the berries themselves. Glad that they are removable from the bushes! The set also includes enough pieces to build one extra berry, which is nice.TNT-fun play feature for kidsCons:Fox reusing the cat/ocelot headThe amount of pros far outweighs the cons for this one. I definitely recommend it for any Minecraft fan!
product came in a giant box... packaging already ripped. what used to be the 5.99 legos is now over $10. It should come completely intact looking perfect for that price! Ugh. Lego's and Walmart are starting to be more of a disappointment than they are worth. All for a product that will take out any grown man. I mean I guess its worth it for the home security.
