(1,450 reviews)

Build the incredibly detailed LEGO Ideas Tree House (21318) from 3,036 pieces, display it, and play with it. This complex model for experienced LEGO builders appeals to the whole family. It stands on a landscape baseplate and features three LEGO treehouse cabins – a parents' bedroom, a bathroom, and a children's room. The tree has interchangeable green leaf elements for summer, as well as yellow and brown leaf elements for autumn. These, along with various plant elements on the baseplate, are made from sustainable plant-based polyethylene. Additionally, the treetop and the roofs of the cabins can be easily removed for play. The model is packed with inspiring features such as a buildable picnic table and chairs, a swing, a campfire, a treasure map, and a hidden treasure element for hosting a treasure hunt, as well as a crane on the balcony of the bedroom cabin. This unique creative toy makes a fantastic birthday gift. It includes a mother, a father, and children as minifigures, along with a bird figure to reenact fun family stories. The set also comes with a brochure containing building instructions and information about the LEGO Ideas fan and the LEGO designers who developed the set.

A really beautiful and fulfilling set. This took my partner and I a week to build because we like to space it out without feeling burned out. You need to follow the instructions exactly because I kind of messed up on the trunk and had to take it apart. So many beautiful details and Easter eggs. The only thing I didn’t like was the branches were difficult to put together. It gets sore on the fingers after a few, so you need to really take breaks in between. Speaking of leaves though, I love that you could change the leaves based on the season! Definitely get this set before it retires. It’s a wonderful addition to your collection.

This set is fantastic. “Santa” wanted to bring my son (he’s a little guy—we work together) a Creator Expert modular building for his collection, but the Police Station wasn’t ready, so this seemed interesting because of its separate “rooms”. The build process was very intricate and very fulfilling. This set has some of the most interesting and fun details we have seen, check out the little mushrooms near the trunk... the cooling pot over the fire... the printed ship on the tiny bottle in the “bedroom”... the step “bridge” between two of the rooms. I highly recommend this set for fans of any sets that have little “stories” built within, but be ready to have some patience for strange connections such as the ones that fasten the diagonal tree trunk strips to the trunk. ... MoreThis set is fantastic. “Santa” wanted to bring my son (he’s a little guy—we work together) a Creator Expert modular building for his collection, but the Police Station wasn’t ready, so this seemed interesting because of its separate “rooms”. The leaves seem ominous but are not difficult. Biggest gripe: there are three major shades of brown—medium, dark, and extra dark—and the color are sometimes difficult to differentiate in the directions. We actually thought pieces were missing at one point while building the branches, and then realized we were just mixing up the shades of brown. Overall an awesome build and worth the price point, in my opinion.

Let me start by mentioning that Lego Treehouse was long awaited and its always a dream for every Lego fan / child / parent. So we were very excited when we bought this Lego set for my child's birthday.I have 2 specific feedbacks,1 - This lego set can be made mode sturdy and stable by right selection of parts. I personally feel that the number of pieces used in building the rooms on the tree could be reduced which would have added stability. Better alternatives could have been thought for some elements. E.g. the fence of the rooms on the tree are very losely held by lego part (4538950). Every time my son wants to play and touches the door of the rooms these fences are the first thing to fall off. Poor experience2 - The leaves for the set. I am very impressed by ... MoreLet me start by mentioning that Lego Treehouse was long awaited and its always a dream for every Lego fan / child / parent. Poor experience2 - The leaves for the set. I am very impressed by the 2 color of leaves those have been supplied. Its a brilliant idea ... but the quality is far too poor. These pieces (leaves - made out of botonical elements) bend easily and folds to leave marks behind on the leaves which looks very shabby. Considering the excitement of my son he wanted to change the color of the leaves within a week and is disappointed that it leaves behind fold marks on the plastic. I dont think its going to last too long. Its like build it once and dont touch it againOverall though the design is splendid the quality of parts is below average and its a touch me not model where my son is too irritated with falling parts and fold marks on the leaves. This product is definitely not designed to play with and its supposed to be on the shelf far from reach of kids. I regret spending 200 Eur on this.

This is a great set. It is truly one of kind and a joy to build. I grew up on Lego, and if you'd told 'kid me' that in 30 years Lego was going to be this amazing, I'd have called you a liar.I wanted this piece as decor for my home office, and it fits in perfectly. It's one of the first things someone notices when they walk in. I can't complain about anything because this is strictly for show, not for play. However, there are a few things that might hinder play, if that's your intended use:1) Despite all the great features and little nooks in each of the rooms, they really are very cramped spaces. The same is true for the upper tree exteriors; there are very few places you can position the mini figures. A little more spacing around the exterior of the cabins would have made a big difference.2) Removing the top of the tree to get access to the 3 rooms is jarring enough to slightly loosen some of the larger piece, which makes sense, it's a heavy set. It's not enough to cause anything to detach, I just find it's necessary to apply a little pressure so the larger pieces fit snugly again. I'm going to swap out a few pieces to make taking the top off a little less rough on it.Aside from these minor non-complaints, this is a phenomenal set and you shouldn't sleep on the opportunity to pick this one up if it's caught your eye.

Its a really nice uniquely designed set imho. Building it was a fun experience. Few points that one may feel repetitive, but good learning in building approach/technique overall. Especially for a novice like myself. On top, I enjoyed just looking at it or moving around the minifigs after finished building, as its soothing just looking at it. If youre into nature and such, I recommend it.

I sat on the fence for a long time with this particular set but everyone I spoke to online that had built it said it was an incredible build and well worth it. Even better there are colour codings above the doors for each cabin and these correspond to bricks used in the roof builds so even if you take all of them off either for play or display it is easy to see which roof goes where afterwards. Nice little touch.I built mine with the green leaf option and I have to admit I probably won't change them out with the seasons.Number Of Pieces: 3036Approximate Price Per Piece: £0.06Build Time: 9.25 Hours

What a looker! The diverse detailing of the trunk and cabin exteriors, off-grid organic feel of many elements, and truly three-dimensional display qualities of the model are real standouts. This build was a journey through different techniques and I found a lot of joy in discovering the clever ways similar elements were varied to provide texture and details. My biggest complaint is that the instructions were less than clear, for several reasons -- no highlights calling out where the new pieces are placed besides some arrows, and a lot of difficulty determining piece colors between two shades of brown and tan/orange which didn't exactly match the bricks' color. It wasn't as smooth a building experience and led to several mistakes which I would only notice toward the ... MoreWhat a looker! It wasn't as smooth a building experience and led to several mistakes which I would only notice toward the end of a bag. Make sure to build under a good light source!I also noticed some quality issues with the bricks -- stress lines on some plates, dots from what I imagine is the injection mold process, and a single piece that was super warped for which I've requested a replacement. YMMV.I found the build experience varied, between the gradual layering of the landscape base, technical construction and geometric feats of the tree trunk and cabin roofs, and the seriously delightful and clever cabin interiors which was my favorite part of the build. The bathroom's various water features and plumbing in particular blew me away. There is a real care to make this set look amazing from any direction, from the landscape features up through the branch and leaf structure. Lots of elements that are open to customization! As others have noted the final steps of adding the leaves bordered on repetitive, and swapping out colors requires quite a lot of changing out, so I recommend mixing colors from the start to provide a fuller "canopy". I chose to use almost all of the light and dark green leaves with a smattering of brown and yellow, to evoke the transition into autumn.Definitely recommend this one more as a display piece than one for active playing, but a strong recommendation regardless!

I love it. I don't say this lightly, but it may very much be one of the best sets I own.I have it in the 'Spring' version, and that is personal preference, but the 'Fall' version of the set is equally as nice. One of the things I didn't realise until I had the set was that the Fall version doesn't swap out any parts on the base - so you still have a very green environment with your Fall version tree.My only gripe is that the minifigures are somewhat uninspiring - but I easily swapped them with versions of myself and my family!I recommend the set. Sorry to hear others are having trouble - but persevere! It's worth it!

On the first mini restructure there were a lot more pieces left over than what usually is. What did I miss! Did I want to rebuild again…no! So I carried on. I’m not sure what happened but it is not easy to go back and fix any mistakes for sure. I would advise to utilise the colours in the treehouse to give direction because without that I would be a lot more frustrated than I actually was, and I was frustrated. It must be said that I did however delve into the build without reading the introduction and was surprised to find a whole load of pieces at the end of it all. It turns out that there are interchangeable leaves. Shades of green for summer, and yellow and brown for autumn. I won’t be changing the leaves as it seems too much hassle. Once it’s built I would just display it.Despite that, the results are good and I am happy with it, and I would recommend it to others.

The aspect of nature and that kid-spirited joy of cool and adventurous treehouses was absolutely perfect. AND the fact that the plant parts are plant based plastics??? Therefore creating awareness of protecting our environment? Absolutely Brilliant. I was so impressed. You can even change the seasons! And everything is so gorgeously detailed -- from the kids room to the Bathroom to the Parents' room. I felt adventurous just building it! Whether it be for a kid or an adult, for decoration or play (respectively), everyone and anyone will appreciate it.The set itself wasn't extremely hard to build so long as you follow the instructions very carefully. I was initially a little intimidated because another review warned that it was difficult, but even during some of the confusing portions (like the inside and outside of the trunk), the instructions made everything very clear. But even then, the challenge was amazing and so much fun. This definitely has to be my favorite LEGO set so far. It was a little pricey, but now I can honestly understand why. The time and hard work it must have taken to create this masterpiece... it is on another level. It was worth every penny! I promise! The Creator and LEGO definitely deserve an applause because this set was absolutely amazing. I loved every second of building it. Thank you so much!
