Absolutely Amazing Kit!

This is my 2nd Lego Technic kit.The 1st one I built was the Ninja H2 and I had so much fun.I went and picked up the largest one I could find at the store and was excited to get building.I love how the bags are numbered. I would build a bag or 2 each evening and then continue. The instructions are extremely detailed and easy to follow. The mechanisms are just amazing.I just finished it today. Took me 4 evenings and it wasn't that hard and didn't take too long.I just purchased myself the Ford GT and started working on ot tonight.I am super hooked on these now.Going to find a creative way to display them.I highly, highly recommend these Lego Technic kits.

Awesome Experience

I have recently fallen into the hole of buying all the recent Lego Formula 1 releases and this was my latest and best one. The attention to detail in the steering and suspension is awesome. I loved assembling the engine and differential. The fact that they move is just icing on the cake. It is an extremely fun build it took me about 8 hrs to do. I highly recommend for a collector or a great parent and child project. It can help teach how basic mechanics work.

First Technic build

Great build, with one huge asterisk

This was my first car build (12th overall), and I really enjoyed most of the experience. It was great to watch it progress, and the 3D instructions on the Builder app were incredibly helpful at times.That said, there's one huge drawback: SO. MANY. STICKERS. I get annoyed when there are five stickers, and this one has close to 80. EIGHTY STICKERS. Every time I got into a rhythm, a series of fiddling with stickers reminded me how much I hate them.

Great set, spoilt by excessive number of stickers

Great build, and looks good, however…Having previously built the Concorde (no stickers) to go to this, with 80+ stickers is really disappointing. Placing some of the tiny stickers is a real pain-in-the-neck, and decreases the enjoyment of the build. I would have preferred a stickerless version (with printed bricks) even if it were to increase the cost of the set. I’m sure many others feel the same way. At nearly £200 I think having no stickers is not unreasonable.

Light Kit for LEGO Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance #42171

The light set looks amazing. Very easy to install. I got it with the remote and is fantastic. If there is any criticism, it would be the connectors. You have to be very careful when inserting the plug into sockets because the wires become loose. The wires are very small and are very difficult to get back in the connecting plugs..... if you are careful you won't have problems.... highly recommend, makes the car so much better to look at.

Realistic Build

Bought kit two days ago and promised myself to take the build slow and enjoy. As usual, I got caught up in the momentl and finished it quickly. Challenging build and a fantastic finish. I actually like the stickers, they give the finish a glossy paint look that you would not get from pre painted bricks. Application is easy if you are careful. Missing one piece (non critical) and have ordered it. Running out of room in my office and may have to move if more F1 cars are produced. Good job!

Very enjoyable build

I prefer doing more challenging builds and I find, in general, the Technics builds are the most challenging. Being a bit of a car buff, I gravitate to the more complicated cars. I have done the Lamborghini and the Bugatti, similar builds but both challenging, I had not done a car in about 18 months and I have to say, while a smaller project, the AMG-F1 was an interesting build. I found it to hold my interest not to repetitive and as many have suggested felt like I was building a real car. I was surprised there was not any attention paid to the brakes, but overall I thought the build was good. There are times when the instructions are not clear. Maybe some tips within the instructions making sure customers use the right "pins" don't confuse right and left panels etc, might be helpful. I would definitely recommend this project.

Wow

I’m over 50 and female Mercedes F1/Lewis Hamilton fan. I saw the Lego Technic MCLAREN and wanted the Mercerdes equivalent. So was happy when they brought out the twin set which I bought but wanted bigger like the Technic MCLAREN which Lego finally delivered! Oh boy I was not disappointed just wow the size! I loved every minute building this even though there was a bit of swearing at times 😂. Overall I probably spent 19 hours build time starting on Sat 9th March 2:45pm to noon Monday 11th March 2024. As others have said instructions not always that clear on positioning ie could do with a few more over head views. Overall value for money- you cannot put a price on enjoyment.
