Mickey’s legs, in particular, are based on the long cross-style rods through the 2x2 rounds that require individual assembly (that’s pushing one at a time along the rod before connecting the 2x2s together, people!), they will tend to twist a bit along the length of the rod.Final assembly in situ Is recommended. Built at home, these models are intended to end up in my wife’s office. Short of building boxes to house them in transit, we will be employing the children to hold them.Still, for any possible shortcomings, that beautiful Mickey/Minnie snapshot is a timeless reminder of the simple joys of youth!

Just like what I like about Disney this lego design has the same concept making the consumer happy after their purchase for just having it in your house.Review About SetUp:I had a bit of background in robotics as a kid and dealt with construction work before but this will be said in a complete novice way because I’m out of practice:-it definitely will take a lot of time if you aren’t a professional so don’t be disappointed if you can’t complete it quickly.-most of the directions were mainly easy because it’s basically copy the picture but there was moments where it won’t tell you a piece is needed and just shows a picture of you are suppose to have and if your not careful you will definitely mistrack and have to rebuild certain components.The main tip I could give;When you open a bag in its number sequence definitely separate the pieces according to its matching counterparts it overall makes it more easier to keep track of all the pieces you need and your not fully confused on two pieces that looks identical.Request : please do woody and buzz or like any Disney duos! In this type of model style I would buy it in a heart beat. Thank you so much for designing this and I hope my review helps out! Have a nice day!

I love lego. Most of my check money goes to lego after bills. Anyway, initially went in for the new Nintendo game system set but they were already sold out. That's ok, because I ended up with this beautiful set! It's fun to build and especially love the flexibility in the characters so they can almost sway to the "music". Definitely an 18+ set the instruction manual is in a little different format that kids would find hard to follow. But if you're an expert lego builder it is easy enough to figure out. I say hats off to lego and this classic couple coming to life through lego bricks :)

I thought this was a fun and adorable set. All around super cute display piece from Mickey and Minnie themselves to the sweet stands they rest on. After reading the other reviews, I would encourage people to retrace their steps if things are popping up/not sitting right, or there are supposed missing pieces. I've bought a crazy amount of LEGOs over the years and always found if things don't sit right, I didn't do something right. If I'm missing a piece, it's because my eyes missed something and it's mistakenly somewhere else. I love that LEGO has pouches for each step so you only have to retrace in that step. I had to do it a couple times with this set, but figured it out by taking a closer look. This was a super fun and exciting set to build. A little challenging and quite solid and sturdy. Definitely one of the better LEGO Disney sets available. It looks great alongside the Disney Castle.
Not sure if my other review went in. Didn't see it but it was about the Mickey Build. Now I am finished with Minnie and overall for the whole build, I would not recommend 100 %. Reasons are the whole set is very unstable. Mickey is more unstable than Minnie. Its just too heavy for the support legs. If the feet were in a more flat position with the rod for the legs wider, maybe the build will seem more stable (Mickey). You cannot put the ukulele in his hand as it is too heavy for it and will tilt more. I was missing one piece in Minnie's nose but was able to take off the opposite matching piece and it still fit in the slot for her nose and was ok. I will be ordering the piece but lets see after that. The accompanying pieces were excellent--camera, uke and book. ... MoreNot sure if my other review went in. My set came with 2 eye/ forehead elements: one with eyebrows (Minnie) and one without (Mickey). I also didn't see any way to change this element since it's specifically made for this set.However, I understand that these are figures meant to be displayed and they have limited playability.
This lego set was very fun to build. It is challenging mainly because it is tricky to get everything put together without parts falling off. The heads are very heavy, so to move around I removed the head. This is the first Lego set where I was really tempted to try some glue on the feet, but I got it assembled without. To move around i suggest taking off the heads. I love the opposible thumbs. I did not try to have Mickey hold the Ukelele as it seemed it might not stay balanced.
I walked into the Lego store at Disney Springs just to window shop and the store had this set on display. I've never built anything with Lego's before and the price really caught me off guard. With that said I thought it was so cute I went ahead and purchased. My issue with this set (besides the high price) was bag 2 was missing pieces. It was easy to order replacement parts online however disappointing that I had to stop building and wait a couple weeks.The directions were easy to follow and as soon as the missing pieces arrived I was able to complete the set. Will buy more sets in the future.
