Well, very nice build. It was joyful building the Fire Mech. But there is a downside and it can not move its knees. Very disappointing. It is full of stickers, the set has 6 minifigures and it is great for display, but do not count for any action-looking poses. It just stands and stands, and that's all. It has moving legs but it is pointless to try some poses, it can easily fall down. Thankfully, there was a Black Friday offer and I bought it way cheaper than the regular price. Overall I recommend it just because it has great look and very eye-catching build technics.

My son absolutely loves this, its really captured his imagination and he just wants to build it all the time. I have to say that I too am really impressed with it. It's a very expensive item but I actually got it at a sale price so am extremely happy with it. Definitely worth the money I paid for it. I would definitely recommend this product, but obviously younger builders would need help unless like my son they are exceptionally good at doing more complex lego. Fantastic Product.

As this is one of the core five vehicles featured in the film, one expects a certain level of quality to be present. It' fair to say this model delivers just that, in all but one category: knees. The model, whilst giving the illusion of high posability, does not in fact have any articluation in the knee area, being limited to 12 points of posability. However, this is in no way a design flaw of any sorts, as, watching videos of the process behind making it, the designer explains it wasn't possible to give the model knees and make it stand up straight, so, they've done as well as they could, and for that, I applaud them.Regarding detail, I must say I am thoroughly impressed; stickers tend to be far and wide, with only a few steps requiring multiple stickers in the ... MoreAs this is one of the core five vehicles featured in the film, one expects a certain level of quality to be present. The hammerhead minifigure is definitely the star, and I am a big fan of his gunmetal gray classic space tanks. All in all, this set is a wonderful addition to anybody's Ninjago collection, and is delightful for either display or play.

Fire In The Hole!

The Fire Mech proves that while the LEGO Ninjago Movie may have not been as good as we hoped it to be, the sets not only go outside the LEGO box, they destroy it altogether. I liked the fact that Zane was included, and the character designs are really good. The shark people are also pretty cool. Kai's Fire Mech has disk launchers, something I haven't seen in a LEGO set since my first one, General Magmar's Seige Tower of Doom from NEXO Knights. The moveable legs and the hatch are both very well thought out. However, in a battle between Shark Thug and Hammerhead with a spike and hammer in a fish respectively and Kai with a ginormous Fire Mech over a foot taller than them, the battle is a bit one-sided. Fire Mech is a MASSIVE Success!

First off, let me say that this is my first Ninjago set ever, because the theme honestly never appealed to me. But then the Movie sets came out, and something about them really intrigued me, especially the Fire Mech, so I thought I'd give it a try. And I have to say, I am blown away by this build. The size is huge, something that works just as well as a display model than a toy. Allow me to list some pros/cons:PROS-Size is impressive, but not too bulky either, meaning it doesn't want to fall over, which impressed me-The little play features like the disc shooters, the cockpit, and there's even an area on the legs to store Kai's swords-The color scheme is fantastic-The minifigure selection is great, you get two ninjas (Zane and Kai who both have great ... MoreFirst off, let me say that this is my first Ninjago set ever, because the theme honestly never appealed to me. I highly recommend!

Fun Build
29 January 2019

I really enjoyed this one. It was more challenging than I thought it would be so that was a plus. It wasn't difficult but there were a lot of pieces. I was quite surprised how good he looks all put together. Hes a lot of fun to play with as his arms are fully positional as well as his hips and feet. He shoots the little discs from his arms as well. This is a great project to put together with a kid maybe around 8 or 10 although I feel that anyone 10+ would enjoy this. Great bargin for what you get.

Great build for our Legohead family. It can tilt stand by itself on flat surfaces, moves at its waist to adjust for balance, the flags on the shoulders are moveable, the arms have a 360degree rotation and it can also move at the elbows. With arms outstretched, it’s 56cm wide, and with the shoulder flags straight up, it measures 38cm tall. Both our 7 and 8yr olds enjoyed the build but needed the teenager’s help in some parts.Debbie downer is that it’s a bit flimsy for our 7yo boy with low- moderate motor skills, as the cabin ‘glass’ comes off along with the lower fascia, but easily put back together (by himself). Also, the ball joint in one shoulder is already coming loose (it’s been played with everyday for the last 3 weeks and he can be a bit rough, ... MoreGreat build for our Legohead family. Not easy to play with
4 November 2017

I wanted to love this set but even looking at it I knew it would be a challenge to actually ‘play’ with and enjoy. Nevertheless, my younger son chose it. We are big fans - seen all the TV episodes, been on the ninjago ride at Legoland, all in.The set is huge and cool so that’s the bonuses. As mentioned it comes with cool mini figs. But it is difficult to assemble, esp the cockpit and repeatedly falls apart.Even older son and his friend who are very advanced builders had problems getting it to stay together. We aren’t finished yet and are on building day4.If the goal is a model I’m sure it will be great but if your kid wants to play with it, I’m not sure.

First and foremost; this set is HUGE! Seriously, when I entered the LEGO Store and saw it on display for the first time, I was gobsmacked. Now that's out of the way let's get down to business. The Pros:As I have mentioned, the mech is very tall, which is always good with robot sets. The minifigure selection is great for the most part. I love that these sets all come with a hero, a villain or two and at least one civilian to be rescued. That' just great for play. The stickers are not very intrusive and are mostly very large so they are quite easy to apply. There are also clips located on each legs to hold Kai's swords, a feature most of the other Ninjago vehicles do not have for their respective Ninja. Overall, the aesthetic is very pleasing, even from the back which normally is left quite ugly. Now, the cons:Due to what i can only assume is for stability's sake, the mech does not have bending knees. this sadly limits the poses you can put it in immensely. The inclusion of Zane, though nice, seems unnecessary to me. Why would i need a single ninja on the ground when I also have a giant mech with flamethrowers for arms? Also, kai doesn't come wit his sword sheathes. I know it's s he can fit in the mech, but it's not like their not easily removable. Though the BIGGEST problem with the set is it's shoulders. The joints used are pathetically weak. It is absolutely impossible to pose the mech with it's arms out sideways. They just droop back down to it's sides.Despite the issues plaguing the mech's ability to be posed, it is a gorgeous mech and I would recommend it to absolutely any LEGO fan. Especially Ninjago fans.
