Yoda is exactly the right colour and has detailed eyes, slightly bendy rubber ears, short legs (non-bendable) and nice printing. R2-D2 looks very film accurate.Pros:- The minifigures are fantastic!- Fun and quite challenging build- The finished Starfighter looks greatCons:- Should have come with someplace to store Yoda's lightsaberI recommend this for all Star Wars Lego fans!

To clarify Yoda's Jedi Starfighter, first off, it was seen twice in season 6 of the Clone Wars (the last few episodes, I don't remember the numbers), so for those of you who haven't seen the Clone Wars, this is a set from the CW (with an episode III character...?).Starfighter: First off, this looks a lot more like an interceptor, but whatever. It's a very good quality, sturdy build like most builds. There are a couple weak spots, like where the wings that the guns are on are attached to the main build. It moves slightly and just feels pretty weak (it's attached by two black technic pins). Other than that, the overall attachment of the four wings to the body is by two technic rods on each side...a little iffy on the strength. But overall, a very secure build with ... Other than that, the overall attachment of the four wings to the body is by two technic rods on each side...a little iffy on the strength. But overall, a very secure build with some nice new pieces to add to my collection. The body looks a bit close to a TIE fighter (intentional?), especially with the cockpit view screen with the two rockets underneath. The area behind R2-D2 was a little short, for my preference, but could easily be modified. A last complaint, the guns are a little far apart for a traditional interceptor style, but not too bad (6-8 studs maybe). Overall, it captures the awesome look of an interceptor, as well as the weight of a sturdy build. Yoda fits nicely into the cockpit - however, there is no room for his lightsaber (who really cares?), and is roughly the same size (a little shorter, a little taller) than Anakin's Jedi Interceptor from 2005.Building tip: If you move the 3x3 wing piece underneath each four wings back one stud, it will prevent the wings from folding all the way down, which is nice for play factor so that you don't have to readjust the wings every time you pick it up or set it down. Lastly, don't expect this to be a small box - the first clue is no spot to open the box with your thumb, like there is on the smaller sets like battle packs. It really is about the size of a $25 set, as you might expect.Minifigures: Who else do you expect in Yoda's Jedi Starfighter besides Yoda? The CW (Clone Wars) Yoda would have fit better into the actual plot of the vehicle, but episode III wasn't too bad (now I have two!). I've seen a lot of people have issues with R2 being on board. However, he accompanied Yoda in the ship in the CW, so who else do you expect? I think it was a good attention to detail, and it's nice to finally have an entire R2 (I got gypped in 2005 with Anakin's Jedi Interceptor coming only with R2's head...), and the 2005 R2's head looked nice on the 2017 R2 body.Overall:Build 19/20value for money: 19/20Minifigures: 21/20 :DSize: 20/20If you want Yoda or R2, this is a great set to get them in, as well as an awesome looking starfighter (interceptor?) with some cool green spring-loaded shooters.

Bought this set out of intrigue more than anything else, as I didn't remember any scenes involving Yoda in a fighter, but figured it must've been from one of the Clone Wars Episodes. The set itself feels very nice in the hand and is easy to put together. Mine had a small mistake where there were 3 inverted 3x1 slopes and only one curved 3x1, but one BrickLink visit later fixed it and it's now nice and smooth. The spring-loaded shooters seem well placed and unlikely to get accidentally triggered, so that's good. What seems strange is that there's no place for Yoda's lightsaber anywhere, not unless you're comfy with sticking it through one of the Technic pins on the wing attachment points. In the end, I just took it apart and put the hilt behind him in the cockpit ... In the end, I just took it apart and put the hilt behind him in the cockpit and squeezed the bar element behind his neck. You can still close the cockpit up normally and it looks nice. One other thing is, there are no real controls for him to use, or even a display panel in the cockpit. I used the left-over light gray 1x1 slope and the 1x1 dark gray plate with the trans-green stud on top to make a kind of control area for him which adds some texture inside (see included Picture for reference).Bonus points to LEGO for the extra lightsaber hilt and Technic cylinder connector, can never have too many of those..All in all, I'd recommend this whether you're planning on just displaying it (the wings give it some nice posing options), buying it for the parts (Dark Green FTW) or just to play around the house like I know you'll want to (I'm 31 and still found time to smuggle it to the office and shoot people in the back). Heck, try it on the cat, the kids, the Missus (if you feel like you can escape quickly enough), it's a lot easier than the Naboo Fighter to carry around and lot less conspicuous too ;)Happy flying & hunting!

This fighter looks fantastic- it displays well with the winglets open or closed. (You'll need to rest it on a small stack of bricks to have them open.) The angles of the wings and the use of dark green give it a really distinctive look.Compared to the original Clone Wars design the LEGO version is bulkier, but I'm fine with that. The hull design makes for a more interesting build than a special one-piece canopy would. And this version plays up the resemblance to a TIE fighter. There's a Technic framework connecting the wings to the hull. It's tricky to get right, but makes the model extremely durable. The wing struts are rock solid, and I even dropped it (on carpet) without doing any damage. Helps for the play value! The firing missiles are nicely built ... The firing missiles are nicely built in.Parts-wise, there are a LOT of useful dark green pieces in this set, plus plenty of grey curved bricks, some interesting Technic connectors I'd not seen before, and of course the TIE Fighter windscreen. As someone who doesn't have a huge budget for LEGO, it was great to get a proper spacecraft for only £20. I appreciate LEGO leaving out extras on this one to keep the price down a bit. Price-per-part ratio is also very good. And I'm glad to finally get a Yoda!
This is a great little set for a ship I didn't know existed until I saw the set (automatic assumption was clone wars which turned out to be accurate). Picked it up as coincidence when getting Poe's X-Wing. Hadn't planned on getting a second set but saw this and HAD to grab it (just a cool looking ship that displays the evolution from Jedi fighters to TIEs - looks like what the Interceptor came from). Anyways fun little set to build, was pretty quick but it's very sturdy. I actually am posting this mostly because people have the same problem.. no place for Yoda's saber! So I took a page out of Saesee Tiin's Jedi Starfighter and stuck a 1x1 with a clip to the bottom of the ship (see image). It fits perfectly and doesn't obstruct it landed. Added a lever and a 1x2 ... I have been on a mission to collect all the variations of Jeid starfighters that LEGO releases,s o I had to pick this set up. I'm still missing a few in the collection, but I'll get there. So, we see this ship in season 6 of The Clone Wars (an unfinished season) and it's pretty accurate, but R2 being in the ship in the episode killed LEGO's ability to make it accurate, I'm still going to dock them a Brick Rating for it not being accurate, but I can see where it made it tough for them. In LEGO's quest to be accurate, they started making models so you could put the whole droid minifugre in LEGO sets many years back instead of just sticking the head on a wing to make it look like the droid was in the ship. In LEGO's quest to be accurate, they started making models so you could put the whole droid minifugre in LEGO sets many years back instead of just sticking the head on a wing to make it look like the droid was in the ship. I loved the idea at the time, but it hasn't aged well when it comes to design. It has been forcing LEGO to take some creative license with the sets when it comes to making it work. This set does a nice job of hiding R2 in the back, but now it no longer has the full ball look the cockpit is supposed to have. From the front it kind of looks like a ball, but it's really not. If it weren't for the beautiful printed windshiled piece in the front, you would't think this to be going for a ball design. The way the back just tapers off just doesn't look good, in fact it doesn't even look like R2 could fly through hyperspace without falling right off the back. LEGO, I would've been more satisfied had you did what you do with TIE Fighters in making the cockpit look round and then just sticking R2's head on top for accuracy.Ignoring the cockpit, the engine section is very accurate using two stickers to accomplish this. You have the 3 read engines on the right and left of the two main teal blue engines. It looks very good from the back except again, the cockpit isn't round enough. The wing to the ship were the most challenging part of the build, and not all that challenging at that. At first you think they aren't going to be that stable until you attach them and the hinge mechanic works pretty well. I haven't been to impressed when it comes to the cockpit in this review, but I will give the wing design some praise. The angles, the colors, and the sturdiness of them is just a great work of LEGO engineering. The wings are truly one of the reasons I bought this set, not because I needed yet another R2 unit or another Yoda (love the new more movie accurate mold, however this is a Clone Wars set, sooo...) but because I thought the look of the wings is what brought the starfighter to life. Just this design alone makes up for the cockpit not really being up to design par. It really comes down to LEGO needing to realize when the full droid in the ship will work and when it won't. It's no easy task being a LEGO designer and had this driod blockade not been in the way, I feel we would've got a more accurate LEGO set.Playability wise, it's a Starfighter, so you can fly it, land it, take off, move the wings, shoot spring loaded missiles with it, and put minifigures inside of it.Accessing the cockpit is made very easy because the top hinges up and the printed windshield piece hinges out allowing full access to inside. The interior of the cockpit is sadly lacking for there is no printed basic computer control tile where there should SO CLEARLY be one making this thing feel hollow design-wise. Again, the wings/color scheme are the only saving grace of this design. Let's talk about that color scheme, I love it, but LEGO loved it too much because it's barely seen in the TV show. It's mainly grey with some pale faded green, but you can only get so detailed with LEGO and since I love how it looks, giving it a pass, I've already been harsh enough about the design. Big shout out to the limited use of stickers! If you don't have a Yoda minifgure yet or SOMEHOW don't have an R2 figure and want to add to your fleet of starfighters, do pick this set up. It has a great price point and a decent look for displaying.
Whilst perusing the local supermarket and picking up Luke's Landspeeder, I also spotted this chap, a fighter craft flown by none other than the irrepressible Yoda!Wait, what? Yoda, in a Starfighter? Now I'll admit to not paying that much attention to the prequels, but I genuinely don't recall Yoda in a plane. On Dagobah, yes. In the imperial council chambers, yes. In space, flying a craft? Nope. The ship itself is actually a very tidy build, in an unusual colour for Star Wars fighters. It's a very solid construction and mostly interesting to build, but as usual for quad wing Jedi designs, it gets a bit repetitive at the wing building stage. Still, hardly Lego's fault the good guys appreciate symmetry. The ship has a good spot for standing Yoda in (as he's short, ... Still, hardly Lego's fault the good guys appreciate symmetry. The ship has a good spot for standing Yoda in (as he's short, he isn't afforded bending minifig legs), but there's absolutely nowhere for his light sabre to go. Yoda himself is a lovely design and his droid companion is... hold on, R2-D2? Since when did... oh, never mind, I don't even know where this ship featured! But this does mean I now have nearly as many R2s as Stormtroopers. Lots of Stormtroopers is a good thing, but so many R2s is just silly. Why is he in so many sets?I'll confess, the sole reason I bought it was so I could have a Yoda figure. For some reason, I've never been able to grab any other set with this tiny green Jedi in it and he's waaaay too big a character to be missing out on. It cost me twenty quid, but that's too much to pay for a missing figure and, to be honest, I'm glad the ship itself is a smart looking thing or I'd have been really annoyed with myself.

" Hmmmmm... It is well hidden, not you think"I am quite sure this set will not disappoint you or young padawans learning to fly.
I was excited for Yoda's Jedi Starfighter when I seen it in the future sets coming out, so it instantly went in the shopping cart. When I got the set, I was surprised with the size of the box as I figured it would be just a little bigger than a micro fighter, but in reality it is a perfect size.Opening the 262 piece lego set box, revealed 3 individual bags, a small sticker sheet and the instructions. The mini figures that came with it where, Yoda and R2D2. Both figures look like rereleases but with updated colours.Building the set only took 22 mins as there are 4 wings to build and the cockpit. Building the wings was the only boring part as you had to build 4 of them and then put them together in bunches of twos. The cockpit was the most fun part of building ... The cockpit was the most fun part of building it.As a completed ship, the star fighter looks good for the size, but also lacks some minor enhancements. For example, when Yoda is placed in the straighter, there is no place to effectively put the lightsaber. The extra missile also has no place to be put as well.Overall, this product is a must have for a star wars collector
This is a relatively simple build, for a fairly decent price. It builds into a reasonable representation of the starfighter flown by Yoda in The Clone Wars TV series. I like the TIE style front canopy piece and the discreet placement of the spring powered shooters. I do have a few problems with it though:1) It is oversized, but I don't see how it could have been built smaller.2) The cabin should be a sandy colour.3) There is no detail whatsoever in the cockpit. I really don't see why Lego couldn't have supplied two stickers, one for each side, or printed pieces with some controls on. This is probably my biggest complaint with the set - all the other Jedi starfighters I have built have had controls in the cabin.4) This isn't Lego's fault, as it is accurate to ... Again, this is a feature you should usually see on a Lego Jedi Starfighter.I like the Yoda figure, it is the same as the 2013 one from the Dooku vs Yoda duel, and is much better than the clone wars one (although that one would be more accurate to this set).
