Back before Harry Potter Lego sets came back recently, the Aragog spider designs were definitely below par, but understandable for that time. Aragog sets really needed this evolution. The spider design is beautiful, and has the right color schemes and lots of posable limbs. Harry and Ron come with cool-looking lanterns and candles, and the small, new generation spider designs are phenomenal. The small tree has a web-shooting feature, which is always fun. Aragog really blends in with the tree, and the set itself is very well priced. If you are a hardcore Harry Potter fan, this is a must-get set!

I really like the new lantern and candle pieces that are included with the set as well. Although the lantern is a bit heavy for the short-legged minifigures so they will need to be on a baseplate to stand while holding it.The new spider mold makes great looking spiders and you get five of them in two different colors! Most of the build is quite easy and there is a friction shooter piece that allows you to shoot a web. It provides a decent backdrop for the scene as well as a place for a couple of those great small spiders. This is a great set for any Harry Potter fan to own. It is inexpensive and very fun to build. It has some good playability for younger fans and also looks great as a display piece for us older fans.

The price was so good that I purchased 3 of these sets for the three children in my family. They were so surprised and absolutely loved this set! The detail on the two characters is really done well. The spider was fun for the children to build and the children had a great deal of fun playing with this set. It is a great addition to the Harry Potter collection! A must have, even if you do not have any of the other Harry Potter sets. I think it is really great that Lego made an affordable Harry Potter set for those who cannot afford the more expensive sets.

Grandson loves this..his Mom maybe not lol

This was a gift for my 6 year old grandson. My 20 year old daughter (his aunt) helped him put it together. His Mom doesn't exactly love spiders so what can I say. She isn't exactly a fan. But that speaks to the amazing quality of Lego and their brilliant design! Once it is together Aragog really does come to life. I've started to read the Harry Potter series to my grandson so he really does love this. Was worth the spend.

The set is nice but I think they should’ve made it a 30 dollar set and made it bigger. The lair is just too small and Aragog is larger than it. That’s not how a lair is supposed to work. I will most likely be selling off everything but the minifigs. These representations of Harry and Ron are beautiful. I like how Ron uses Luke sky walkers hair instead of Cole’s hair from LEGO Ninjago. And Harry. The hair piece for him is not movie accurate. But, it is book accurate. And since the movie is based on the book. That’s about as real as it can get. My only problem with the minifigs in the entire wave are the use of the old short legs. You guys introduced the “mid-legs” in the collectible series. Why not keep them on. Overall I think this is a decent set. Like make it five dollars and make it just Ron and the spider. Or make it more expensive and bigger. Like make it 30 dollars and expand the lair into something true. It will be an ok play set for younger kids, but being 14

This was a fun build with extra mini spiders and webs everywhere that shoot out from the tree.Compared to 4727 Aragog in the dark forest &4750 Draco's Encounter with BuckbeakThis spider design/build would have to be the best so far!Kinda creepy to have it on the shelf. Will definitely stop anyone from playing with your LEGO without your permission.with big white fans and legs that can move!Gotta love the expressions on Harry & Ron's face definitely worth getting just to see them scared.Hope you enjoyed my review#LEGOwizardingworld

Simple Lego set for Harry Potter Fans

I purchased 2 of these: One late in November for my 12-year old son, and another late in December as a gift from my son to his best friend. The price was right for a perfect elementary school "friend" gift, so I used the Target app and chose in-store pickup. I got an email that my pick-up was available very quickly, so I was impressed at how quickly I could pick up my package. When I picked it up at customer service, the box was destroyed, but I accepted the package anyway, knowing the legos are sealed in a plastic bag inside the rickety box.My son received his on Christmas morning and assembled it VERY quickly. It's a simple set, good for a beginner as well as a Harry Potter nut. (My son is the latter.) This set has a lot of specialized pieces that are specific to this set, but my son follows the directions word-for-word and then puts his creations on display, so this set was fine for him.

The Best Set Under $20

I am a huge Harry Potter fan, so when the theme was returning, I knew I had to get all the sets. This was the first one I got, and this set tells me I have to buy all the other sets. Since this set is so small, I am just going list why you should buy this set, and why you shouldn’t.Why to buy this set:- A cheap way to get Harry and Ron- Includes Aragog, which I think is the best looking one yet- Great pieces (lantern, wands, 5 spiders, printed dish piece, candle, and printed eyes for Aragog)- Great price, as the price to part ratio is good and has a lot of stuff to enjoy- Great playability, collectibility, and display abilityWhy not to buy the set:- The plants on the tree feel too bright for the Dark Forest- The web shooting feature is a bit ... MoreI am a huge Harry Potter fan, so when the theme was returning, I knew I had to get all the sets. So, just a great set and a must buy for all Harry Potter fans.

The faces have two sides - happy face and "OMG! SPIDERS! ALL THE SPIDERS!" face. There are plenty of spiders to go around. definitely a good addition to the whomping willow set. it's pretty basic, but still fun to play with. the Aragog spider build is great, even having front mandibles that can move. and the posing of the legs is great; even able to set him on the roof of the Hogwart's castle.you get a handful of the new spiderlings, which are pretty nice. except no clip at the front of the mouth anymore. The side build is pretty decent. don't play with the shooting web feature much but the print for it looks good.ron and harry are nicely printed, as are all the minifigures in this new release of harry potter sets.Just a great little set; about the size of a star wars battle pack (minus two figures). makes me wonder if we can get a harry potter character pack, similiar to a star ... Moredefinitely a good addition to the whomping willow set. it's pretty basic, but still fun to play with. the Aragog spider build is great, even having front mandibles that can move. and the posing of the legs is great; even able to set him on the roof of the Hogwart's castle.you get a handful of the new spiderlings, which are pretty nice. except no clip at the front of the mouth anymore. The side build is pretty decent. don't play with the shooting web feature much but the print for it looks good.ron and harry are nicely printed, as are all the minifigures in this new release of harry potter sets.Just a great little set; about the size of a star wars battle pack (minus two figures). makes me wonder if we can get a harry potter character pack, similiar to a star wars battle pack in size. 4 new characters, 1 from each house (griffendor, slitherin, ravenclaw, hufflepuff) so we can get a basic uniform top in 4 different colors. 1 short leg, 1 of the newer short legs, 2 adult legs. then we can mix and match and build up more students for MOCs.
