Ever since the Lego Benatar set came out, I was hopeful Lego would make a similar displayable model of the Milano. I can say with absolute certainty that they nailed the look and spirit of the ship. Even a week later I’m still gushing at how accurate and fun this model is. Its price is 100% justified. I truly can’t express my excitement and love for this set enough. If you’re a fan of the Guardian’s, do yourself a favor and buy this Lego set.

Overall this looks amazing and it’s great that the whole crew and their weapons and accessories can fit inside comfortably. This is so well designed, I had to logon and make a comment (I don’t usually!). There are so many intricacies and SNOT techniques that make all the little angles possible, and at the same time they’re not annoying or cumbersome - everything fits together so smoothly - and cleverly. It’s so impressive how much Lego sets have improved over the last 10/15 years, with new pieces gradually introduced year by year now really paying off that a complex-shaped set like this is even possible, plus the way Technic pieces integrate perfectly and strengthen where necessary (there’s not much Technic here, but it’s brilliant where used).Sturdy frame with ... MoreOverall this looks amazing and it’s great that the whole crew and their weapons and accessories can fit inside comfortably. This is so well designed, I had to logon and make a comment (I don’t usually!). And a great display stand, which is easy to remove the Milano from!Hats off to the design team on this, so glad I purchased, and I’m not even much of a GoTG fan, have seen the first movie once and that’s all.

The 2021 Benatar was always going to be a difficult one to top, but they've somehow gone and done it. The most iconic ship in the MCU has been given the set it deserves, with a far improved interior, excellent figures, extremely detailed and sleek design, as well as being huge and very swoosh-able (that should be a word) in your hands. The build of this one was very fun, with no parts feeling monotonous. Excellent overall and definitely the best Guardians of the Galaxy set we've seen so far!

I purchased this set for myself and had a total blast building it. Seeing all the different techniques used to get what is a great looking end product was a joy to experience. It looks great on my shelf and certain elements can be posed in a variety of positions. My only gripe was an issue w/ the instruction booklet misprinting some of the colors of the bricks, especially in the second booklet, but I would still recommend this set to anyone even slightly interested in it.
I am only writing this terrible review because I don't know how else to make this heard. I own THREE guardian ships and I still have NO star lords helmet. I am convinced by this point that it is truly due to negligence and laziness. They NEVER include his helmet, on the third movie totally understandable but you recreate the team from the first movie and still forget??? That's like putting fighter pilot Luke in 3 x-wing sets and forgetting his helmet each time. Star wars fans would loose it! It'd lazy and disrespectful, you're either just forgetting about it due to lack of attention to detail.....OR you are remembering he has it and purposely deciding not to include it because you're that cheap l. Which one is it lego???
I never had a chance to get the original Milanos, so I was very excited to get this set. As far as the figures go, Drax and Gamora look amazing, and I love that they finally made a movie accurate Drax. Groot came back with his little piece, and looks just like his character appearance in the I Am Groot show. Rocket was a letdown since he was just a repeat. At least you could of given him duel-molded legs or a different outfit. Star-Lord was the biggest disappointment of all, since Lego did not include his iconic space helmet. This looks like a sign of laziness, and I am very disappointed. This most likely means that we will never get another Star-Lord helmet piece. As far as the ship goes, the detailing on this thing is immaculate, and the interior looks fantastic. ... MoreI never had a chance to get the original Milanos, so I was very excited to get this set. I am not a huge Lego Marvel fan, I definitely prefer Star Wars. In the last few years since Lego changed up the style of Lego Marvel, the sets have in my opinion been signs of lack of care and laziness. This was the first actually good Guardians of the Galaxy set we have gotten since 2017. All in all, worth the price, but is lacked several things.
Overall I like the build. It looks similar to the model in the movie. The price is a bit inflated. It comes with 4 chibi figurines, those sell for like $5 per. So you end up paying an extra $20 for this set. IDK why there are chibi figurines included. They don't look like the characters. Chibi distinctly exaggerates head size and all of the characters in guardians of galaxy have normal sized heads. So its a weird choice for depiction. Overall I would still recommend this set.
I'm not a huge fan of the Lego Marvel sets, HOWEVER, when I saw the Milano on the coming sets, I had to make an exception. I read one online opinion that this could be a UCS set, and I completely agree. It's amazing how the weird angles of the Milano are reproduced. And the different building techniques make it a really fun build. And the completed set is quite amazing to see. Lego designers have once again "done it". Kudos, and keep them coming.
This product gave me a week of entertainment easily. It was so enjoyable to put it together, simply like a large puzzle. All of the parts went together perfectly, and the instructions were detailed and simple, each step was separated into its own bag, making it easy to start and stop, and to keep your parts organized as you go. Every time I look at it, I’m blown away by the detail and creative features in this set. Definitely a perfect Christmas gift for your guardians fan!
This set is just so much fun to build. Some ingenious assembly techniques are utilized to make the unique shapes. It has such a strong shelf presence that I cannot stop but admire it every time I walk pass. I would not recommend younger ones “swoosh” this set around. It is solidly built but it is heavy! And this set does one thing I wish Lego would do with all sets- bag the window/canopy parts separately! Too often windows are scratched up while bagged with a bunch of other parts. Not this time!
